It made sense Dana was thought to be the stalker since she had pretended to be Beth months earlier..though I'd forgotten Holly was briefly a suspect. And I LOVE Maeve. I’m sure it’s because Vanessa was still a “newish” character and not, y’know, established for twenty years. Ironically Anna's Donna would go through the same reformation process Vanessa did, a few years after Vanessa did, although Vanessa's "stuck," whereas Donna would go back and forth. I can't remember if Anna played out the end of the Ed/Vanessa story. I do love Jean Carol - I will try to see it for her if I'm on then. I hope someone will ask her about Six Feet Under and about her brief returns to GL.
