Members jam6242
Enjoyed the Jordan Clarke article. It really humanized him. I had no idea about his daughter's death.
Members SoapDope
Jordan Clarkes wife Valerie Hawkins was also an actress. In the 60's she did a horror film called 'Sting Of Death" about a jellyfish monster....LOL. Also in the 60's she was the girl in the Texaco ads dressed as a firefighter. I've seen some on youtube. Her daughter commented on one.
Members Mitch
God the show sucked at that time. Though I had to laugh at Miss Sally's nightgown being devored by a feathered boa. That and Zimmer's overacting in that clip looks like a parody of soaps. I don't remember Miss Sally going after H.B. (I know she was Billy's real mom) but she looked pretty damn good...(I thought of her as an old broad at the time.)
Members DRW50
Is the clip of her dying at the wedding available?
Members SoapDope
Looking back to some early Vanessa scenes on youtube, I feel that Maeve Kinkead might have been good as a recast for Brenda Dickson as Jill on Y&R.
Members DRW50
That would have been interesting, although I wonder if she would have fit the Y&R style.

Members amybrickwallace
Wow, I never knew Fred Scollay was on GL.
Members SoapDope
I think she would have fit in nicely. I can picture her going up against Katherine and the Abbott's. She had elements of Brenda and Deborah Adair in her early Vanessa. Edited June 17, 2015 by SoapDope
Members slick jones
Fred Scollay was Dr. Tim Sullivan for a few months during Bert's amputation story.
Members amybrickwallace
Thanks!! Plus, he looked exactly the same when he recurred as a judge on the original L&O in the 90s.
Members slick jones
Yup, he was older, yet ageless if that makes sense!
Members TimWil
I think Y&R at that time, with its endless pauses and slow pacing, just wouldn't have been a good fit for her. Edited June 17, 2015 by TimWil
Members NothinButAttitude
I know this arc had to painful for longterm GL, who grew up loving and caring for Bert.
Members DRW50
I think the idea of it was to be inspirational, which it may have been if Charita hadn't been ill
