Members amybrickwallace
Who were the EPs around when the Dobsons and Doug Marland were writing the show way back when?
Members NothinButAttitude
Allen Potter was EP during both of their reigns 73-82. Marland 78-82 and the Dobsons wrote 75-79. Members Khan
Despite the fact that he and Doug Marland butted heads over the show's general direction, Allen Potter probably was GL's best-ever EP.
Members Soaplovers
It's funny that the show revolved around Reva especially in the late 90s through the end but I got three people to watch the show with me circa 1993 through 2002 (when I was in college).. and the one consistent thing these three people were interested in was Blake. One of them even was invested in the Tory Granger story and was bummed that she had to go to europe for the summer because she was totally hooked on it. When she came back in the fall, she was bummed that the story wrapped up so I sent her a detailed summary of the last few months of the story.
Members amybrickwallace
Wasn't Tory Granger played by that same girl who was on OLTL? (I'm blanking on both her real name and her character's name on OLTL.)

Members amybrickwallace
Thanks, I appreciate it. I can SEE her, just can't remember her name. LOL
Members MichaelGL
The Robert Calhoun era is such a fascinating time to me for GL. Such an easy and almost seamless transition from Pam Long to Curlee/Demorest and IMO stories seemed to build and only get better in the last few years of Long's second tenure. I've watched episodes of GL from 89-90 and the Reva/Dylan/Billy stuff was incredible, the Alan-Michael/Harley and Blake/Roger/Holly material was great television as well. I just loved everything about the show around this time, and yet I feel its the most overlooked period for the show.
Members slick jones
Charissa Cree Chamorro. She was also a medium on ATWT named Myra Haft. Her OLTL character was Sophie Pellegrino. Members danfling
I think that Luci Ferri was one of the best executive producers in soap opera history.
Members amybrickwallace
Did the Dobsons write for GL before or after they wrote for ATWT? I know they started at her parents' show (GH) and ended their soap career with their own (SB).
Members Paul Raven
The Dobsons wrote GL 75-80, befote ytransferring to ATWT. I suggest you read through the tribute thread as there is heaps of interesting stuff - just be prepared to put aside a serious chunk of time cos once you get started...
