September 18, 200916 yr Member I really liked this show. Sure, the initial plot is a bit cliched but this is a lot more adult than I'd have expected from a CW show. I think teaming it with Top Model is a stupid move, they should have it follow Gossip Girl as it's clearly the same audience (then pair Smallville with One Tree Hill and Supernatural with The Vampire Diaries, but hey, I'm not in scheduling). I don't get why it rated so low, but it's a tough timeslot, I guess. Mischa put in a great performance, I was expecting her character to be Marissa Cooper 2.0 so it's nice to see her play someone slightly different. Sara Paxton's character was my favourite, though...especially the stuff she pulled with the Versace guy. All in all it was a nice pilot that shows great potential. Yes, I enjoyed the fact that the Sara Paxton's character has a heart and a brain. Heroine's like that are rare. LOL
September 19, 200916 yr Member I really enjoyed this show!! Sara Paxton's character is great.. I can only guess what her secret is. Loved Chris/Raina together. Mischa Barton..lol.. I never watched her on "The O.C." but her acting was pretty horrendous in the first episode. I do like Sonja's secret about the baby, I really thought she'd just end up being another air headed model with a drug problem. I have high hopes for this show, I really enjoyed the pilot.
September 20, 200916 yr Author Administrator Yes, I enjoyed the fact that the Sara Paxton's character has a heart and a brain. Heroine's like that are rare. LOL She's already my favorite character. Loved Chris/Raina together. That scene with Chris in the chair and Raina helping him at the photoshoot was hot!! I'm already rooting for them. I do like Sonja's secret about the baby, I really thought she'd just end up being another air headed model with a drug problem. I like the secret too and me made interested in Sonja. I have high hopes for this show, I really enjoyed the pilot. It was a good pilot.
September 25, 200916 yr Member Watched the second episode right before Vampire Diaries. It was a great two hours of my life LOL I love how full on these plots are already but the show still manages to be character driven. It keeps me very interested. It was refreshing to see the Cole not have a romantic thing for Raina and I was surprised about the Sonia and Cole connection. The way the writers threw the viewers off about Cole in this episode was a nice twist.
September 26, 200916 yr Member http://www.tvguidema...-more-2572.html To think Privileged got canned for this. Edited September 26, 200916 yr by lovely_m
September 26, 200916 yr Member Well it was nice discussing the show with the only viewers this show ever had LOL
September 26, 200916 yr Member Saw this coming sadly. I have yet to see the second episode, but the pilot was great. Oh well, opens up a time slot for me to record Modern Family/Cougar town. Doubt we'll ever see the unaired episodes on the CW. And please don't mention Privileged! I was so bummed when that got canceled. I actually thought this show was pretty good, had some potential. But combine that with the numbers on Wednesday (Glee, ABC's comedies, etc..), it really didn't stand a chance.
September 26, 200916 yr Member I am so happy this show got canned. In your face CW. Three dumb moves in a row: 1. Canceling Privileged. 2. Ordering this crap. 3. Not picking up Body Politic.
September 27, 200916 yr Member Wow, this is sad sad sad. Privileged deserved better then to get cancelled because of two episodes of this.
September 27, 200916 yr Member My problem with this show was that it just wasn't offering anything new. Most of the stuff they were doing has already been seen a thousand times before, especially on the CW. The poor casting choices(sans Paxton, the hot British chick with the five head, and the Cole dude) didn't help IMO. I wish Mike Kelley & Co had stuck to the original, and as much as I hate to use this word, edgier pilot script. Oh, and I hope Dawn O has learned her lesson; that you can only have so many shows about pretty young people.
September 27, 200916 yr Member How do you cancell a show after 2 episodes? Networks these days dont even give shows a chance to build an audience. Oh well I wish the CW had kept The Game Edited September 27, 200916 yr by Cheap21
September 27, 200916 yr Member ^^ Yeah, it's weird. Half the shows on CW would've been cancelled for bad ratings by now then.
