The DiMansion looks like crap! It's horribly lit and those colors look awful.

And so does that set Max and Chelsea were talking in that used to be Austin's apartment back in the day. The one across the way from Carrie's.

And the Brady Pub has always looked the same. Nothing different about it.

But whatever. If there's anything I can agree about in terms of a team getting screwed, it's Y&R for scenic design.

I do agree its hottibly lit and the colors are awful, but i also feel its VERY dimera! lol.

those apartments all have such diff looks tho, thats why i give them credit. Stephanie/Chelseas, Daniels, Sami's old one.. they all are decorated very in character IMHO.

And why does anything need to be diff in the brady pub? Most soaps rarely change.

I think that AM submits herself in the supporting category because she knows that she won't win against the type of actresses that usually get nominated in the lead category. I think that AM gets more than enough material to be considered a lead actress and that she gets a lot of meaty material, but I wouldn't be surprised if she never submits herself in the Lead Actress Category.

I think that the competition in that category is too fierce and a lot of the actresses that get nominated in that category are better actresses than she is. Even in the Supporting Actress Category, I think that MCE has gotten her beat, because even though I do not like Annie at all or really like the way she has been written this past year, MCE has done a pretty good job with the material that she has been given. I do think that she is a better actress than AM is and should win over AM.

She can only compete in Supporting and even there she has a hard time. She is a good actress but not a great actress. There is no way she would ever get nominated in Lead until she improves so much more.

But as far as Supporting there is no way she is a supporting actress. She is on all the time and as others said the character drives story and is a lead. She is just a weak actress.

Isn't scenic design the new sets you build and the props that fill it out? Not the old sets really?!

And maybe it is modifying older sets. Who knows?

I just think DAYS has craptastic set design.

Actors were voting on writing? Are you effing kidding? Where did you hear that?

It was in the rule book for last year - actors, producers and writers who volunteered for the committee judged those prenoms last year.

Humm, idk.

What you say sounds logical.. but this is the emmys!

I do agree you with somewhat on the sets i guess its really the decorations i like. If anyone understands that, lol. I like that each house/apartment is decorated like the characters whom live there. Ya know?

I also do think the Brady house and Horton house are two of the best sets in daytime tho.

I just look and it totally shocks me how much Y&R was shut out of show noms and tech noms when it had such a good year in those areas. It got shut out of nominations I thought it was a shoe in for this year.

So happy for Blake and Rachel! I think Blake and Rachel can win..I think their biggest competition is Bryton MClure and Kirsten Storms.

OMG yes, yes, yes, for sexy Rafey, EJ Bonilla! Way way underrated by some GL fans and I'm glad the more objective judging panels took note of his acting talent. Boo to no Crystal Chappell though, and boo to no Billy Magnussen.

How the f*ck does Y&R miss out on the Best Drama and Best Writing categories? :o

All those nominations for DAYS: a big surprise, but the acting ones are well deserved, especially Blake Berris.

That said, congrats to Debbi Morgan for her history-making nom. First woman of color to be nominated as a lead.

Indeed!
