Nooooot. Did you read the comment about the scene of their lovemaking? And a few comments in the "Shick" topic in spoiler island?

I'm just sad I'm leaving town and won't be able to catch those Emmy-worthy scenes this week, but I'll catch up somehow. ;)

I just finished watching Thursday's US episode and it was fantastic! The very last scene was extremely good.

:o <------------ my reaction to tomorrow's revelation!! I'm so glad I was able to avoid spoilers. Soaps are so much better when you're able to this :o ......ahh.....what a feeling.

Since Sharon Case can't bring herself to say it, I'll say it for her...

Sharon: Well, Maria Arena Bell is amazing! Hopefully, that won't change! We've been through so much change! I loved having Jack Smith write the show, it was a crying shame that they let him go, then we went through a bunch of 'crazy' from that hack bitch from the depths of hell LML for a few years, ever since Jack Smith left, now we've finally stabilized - we have a fabulous writer in Maria. Let's not rock the boat again!

And yes Sharon, let's NEVER rock the [!@#$%^&*] boat again!

Word! Victoria figuring out that the glove resembles Brad's thereby triggering Noah's memory was well done. It made sense that Victoria would stay with Noah with his parents at the cabin. I loved her droning on about Reese while Noah played that computer game. It is such a real family moment. Noah being cold and asking about his phone was also realistic. Kudos to the script writer! Someone put a lot of thought into that scene and I appreciated it the effort because it showed a respect for soap fans that is missing from the soaps in general today. I'm looking at you GH with your nonsensical toxic ball crisis.

I don't usually. watch Y&R, but did the last two days for Sharon/Nick and Brad. I noticed in today's show is that Abby calls Billy, "Uncle Billy" and Noah calls Victoria, "Aunt Victoria." I really like this. Too many soaps don't let young characters use these kinship designations to refer to their relatives and they are important because they help establish bonds between characters to which the audience can relate.

Anxiousness about Brad being missing was also well done, especially when compared to the lack of urgency on GH re: the poison. The actress who plays Colleen remains the weak link. The confrontation with Victor and scenes at Brad's car were pathetic. It is really to bad that the two previous actresses who played the role aren't the ones doing these critical scenes.

I re-watched Josh Morrow coming out of that coat and yep, I almost fainted again. He is a sculpted walking perfect man.

Katherine and Murphy are poignant. Poor Katherine. She is in a horrible situation.

It was an amazing well written episode overall.

I'm not either a Phick or Shick fan -- but what a pleasure and relief it was to finally view an honest-to-god love-in-the-afternoon soap love scene. I don't need to see naked flesh and hard-core rutting, the black underwear actually gave it some sexiness. And the way Sharon stopped for a moment and Nick held her neck... and then they went back to kissing. Kudos Y&R for rediscovering love scenes.

Although I still think Brad's declaration of love to Sharon was more get-it-on worthy. :)

I have never been into Tammin's Colleen, ever, but I thought she did well with what she was given. I mean, Colleen's anger and panic and lashing out was definitely relatable.

I checked the spoiler tags. :( Sad for today.

      I know Passions used this trope with Ethan and Sam to drag out the paternity, but GH seems to speed through certain stories while dragging others.

      Agreed, that there was some strange choices in the episode, especially at the end, but overall, that was some great drama that opens up the potential for so much future storyline. Kat vs. Eva having the most potential, especially over Tomas. I have mixed feelings about Martin/BC though. I thought he did pretty well in scenes with Smitty/MM, but the scenes of him confronting Leslie and of him throwing the books were bad lol she acted circles around him.  It’s similar to what Harding Lemay said about George Reinholt at AW; he could be brilliant in one scene, but then mediocre in the next.

      I know some of y'all really like Brooke Kerr, and so I've tried to give her a shot, despite her frequent flat line readings and distracted "did I leave the front door unlocked?" facial expressions. But lord, she is so bad at playing a tough-talking badass that I was actually rooting for Brad today to spill the beans to Drew.

      Googling does tend to ruin it.  For those of us who were teens in the late 1970s and early 1980s, you can't imagine how much fun it was to watch the show in the afternoons.  (It came on right after school.)  There weren't any "spoilers" at the time.  We would always try to anticipate how each crime and each mystery would be resolved, and we were ALWAYS wrong, because the stories are filled with so many weird twists and turns.   The head writer (Henry Slesar) and his dialogue writer (Steve Lehrman) invariably toss genuine clues directly into your face in the most unlikely ways, but then they provide a host of "red herrings" to completely confuse you and send you off on the wrong path.  Once the story reaches its conclusion, all you can think is Why didn't I figure that out weeks ago?  lol

      The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
