It's been lovely to see how effusive and loving these men are. They love each other. They love their wives. They love each other's wives and families. You aren't going to see this from the TrumpPence admin. You'll never see Donald talk about how grateful his is for his wife or kids. He'll talk about how hot and/or successful they are because he thinks that reflects on him but he'll never see him spontaneously express love or gratitude.

^ I actually think the way Ivanka talks about her relationship with her father is incredibly sad.  She actually brags about the fact that he always took her calls when she was a little girl, as if that's something special. No sense that he was the who had the responsibility to keep in touch with her. The whole family basically says that she is the favorite because she was the one who made the effort to keep the relationship going when she was a child. Baron always looks like such a sad little boy. All of this must be a nightmare for him. At least Melania seems like a good mother.

Even if it's probably some control thing I'm glad she and Barron won't be in the White House or DC much. It's likely better for them and also means the media will have less time to spend cooing over dresses and designer tiffs

Trump is sick when it comes to Ivanka, like Victor Lord sick. I'll just leave it at that.

C-SPAN says its online feed of House floor action was briefly interrupted Thursday by programming for the Russian news site RT. The network says the problem was likely a routing issue, since RT is one of the networks that C-SPAN regularly monitors.

Spokesman Howard Mortman says C-SPAN's website was replaced by RT for about 10 minutes. He says the network is "investigating and troubleshooting this occurrence."

  Watching these two men today was heartwarming.  I will miss them.

Reminds me of something I read about Trump that was backed up by that PBS documentary. Apparently, Fred his father referred to successful people as "killers" and Fred Jr. who elected to become a pilot instead of the family business was seen as a failure by Fred Sr. who never ceased to tell him so until Fred Jr. drank himself to death.

Years later, when asked about his brother, Donald Trump, eyes slightly downcast, was said to have uttered "Fred...he just wasn't a killer, I guess".

What a family!

That had to be hell for him.  A pilot = failure?!?  In what twisted world, or family, is that even possible.  Wow.
