I don't think they personally would want to hang around Trump, but I think they see the Clintons as old, tired, and aloof, and Trump and his insanity as fresh (and ratings). There's a real glee when they talk about negative stories for Hillary while with Trump they're often more guarded and regretful. It's only surrogates who are allowed to be outspoken in belittling Trump, and even that's limited, as some networks happily employ people who work for his campaign.

I don't discount some of the glee, but I think a lot of them are absolutely terrified and/or contemptuous of Trump. You need only look at yesterday's grassroots twitter movement on behalf of Katy Tur, who Trump continues to abuse and single out at rallies by urging his audiences to attack her. Some journalists are more glib than others as they're in the bubble. And yes, CNN's handling of Lewandowski vs. Brazile is beyond the pale. But there's a difference between the media's glib disconnect from realities and traditional conservative lean - which causes them to cluck about any Democratic win as "not a mandate" so don't get happy, liberals - versus how they've reacted to Trump.

The media has gotten more liberal, albeit very slowly with fits and starts, over the last 15 years, and I think most of them are horrified by him. The problem is that it's their bubble and bias that took them this long to stop treating him as just another GOP candidate and more as a horrific nightmare, and now you see most of them still trying to pimp a horse race because that is always the morning order from their producers to save their weekly numbers. But do I think most of the coverage on CNN or MSNBC is favorable to Trump in the last month-plus? No.

Thanks for all the replies about Georgia and North Carolina. I always forget about the rural areas in places like that and that they're way more heavily populated than our rural areas.

Sorry for all the questions, but can someone explain to me what has happened with Rudy Giuliani? Has he gone crazy or senile? Does he have some sort of personal vendetta against the Clintons? i just imagine why someone who was suppose to respected, for lack of a better word, would be so willing to go down with a man like Trump.

Giuliani has always been somewhat far out there, because he made New York a fairly scary place for non-whites as far as the police goes. He was elevated as some sort of deity after 9/11, even though he did nothing out of the ordinary. He really went insane after he lost the 2008 presidential primary and started showing who he really is after that. His vendetta is pretty much the standard ones that a lot of Republicans have against the Clintons. I think he also still harbors anger over the 2000 US Senate race where he briefly ran against Hillary, but had to drop out of for health reasons.

So apparently the DNC had informed the FBI that its offices had been bugged? When did this happen?!

Well, for the National Enquirer this has got to be a first!

I keep seeing this narrative that black voters aren't turning out (yet these articles don't mention voter suppression). I don't know how much is true and how much is the media wanting to pit groups against each other if Trump wins as they are likely hoping.

Of course they are wrong and ignore suppression but great news is as of yesterday NC AA caught up to 2012 levels with one more day of EV and Latinos EVERYWHERE including NC are over surpassing what anyone expected. High numbers voting in Florida, Arizona, North Carolina and if u saw yesterday in Nevada and the long lines of Latinos, this sleeping giant has been awoken this election. Word is that even Clintons campaign is shocked at the high  Latinx turnout. But anyone paying one bit of attention to Telemundo and Univision would know because they have been hitting Trump and the GOP hard for months. Yes Latinx's pay attention and again like in 2012 are underpolled? That poll that showed Trump ahead in Nevada by 4 had 0 Latinx's polled. Not 0 percent, 0.  Asian American vote is up by 40 percent over 2012. These numbers exceed the numbers Obama got in 2008. And dont discount women. We r also the sleeping giant the media has ignored.

Ms. Grace Bell Hardison, a 100 year old African American woman whose voter registration was challenged by a White man in her area (no doubt influenced by those flawed stories of voter fraud) got her right to vote restored. Thank goodness her nephew saw her name in the newspaper with the other voter registrations that were thrown off the rolls after being challenged and deemed fraudent.

Thank goodness she fought back and got her registration and her right to vote restored!  President Obama mentioned her during a campaign appearance in NC this week and she wrote him a wonderful letter in response.

By the way, a judge ordered the state of NC to restore all the purged names back to the eligible voter registry rolls. It is illegal to purge names less than 90 days before an election. Apparently, the man who challenged Ms. Bell Hardison was ignorant of this fact.

    • Which is still a form of manipulation. Granted it won't work because Ted isn't interested in Leslie at all no matter how much she tries to make him look like a horrible person. When you consider the situation with Hayley it does make sense why Anita would take that approach.
    • Another good one and great episode to start off the week. Confrontations, character moments, movement, and an awful lot of bubbles on display. lol.    I've found myself liking Sara Bibel breakdowns. And this episode might be why. I sense movement of plot going on. And Jazmen being on script duty has already become a highlight for me. So this episode dealing with more fallout from the SilkPress/Eva reveal was another good one. And even got a solid B plot moving in the Vanessa/Doug/Joey storyline...which I just said yesterday...has been the only one of the B plots...that has real build to it so far.    You are not a real soap pariah until you get dragged and a community treats you as such. So basically another old school soap vibe that Eva is giving me. Watching her trying to find her footing only to be read by just about everyone she has encountered has been great. It makes her so rootable. And she's played by an excellent actress. Cuz that quivering lip at the end with her and Anita...ooooo some of you all seem heated for Anita making poor girl cry even though it's her fault. That's great acting. Not to mention writing.    I also love that the side character got their point of view. I loved Mona moving about town trying to get info to avenge Nicole in a way. And she dragged Eva. She read Silk Press Sheila. And that 'enjoy the burn' was well-said. And did I see a spark with Mona and Randy? Hmmm. I don't mind.

I also didn't mind that Martin/Kat scene. I enjoy their sibling relationship so far. And I feel like the right thing to do to keep them close as they support their mother. It even made sense that Martin would soften to the idea of Eva as part of the family given their brief scene at the start of this storyline. Meanwhile, NO from Kat. lol. And she's already questioning the DNA test...OF COURSE SHE IS. But again...that avail...her and Eva being the SAME age. Twins. I just felt the writers are really foreshadowing that heavy. Meanwhile, the SilkPress saga is far from over.   I love the parade of Ted Visitors. LMAO!!! I thought Dani vs Ted was pretty good. But I about fell out when Anita walked up in there like old school Sonny Corinthos. And I hollered with Anita wiping the floor with Ted with Dani in the background like Jason Morgan. Watch your step, Theodore. Anita was giving Boss Bitca and I was living.    That said...I didn't like Anita making poor Eva cry. But as was said above...the stuff with Hayley is still too fresh on the Duprees' mind. So sadly understandable, Anita set down the law.    Uh oh. Dani saw Vanessa with Joey. Granted they are not the BFFs, but I do hope that that means we are getting a Dani/Vanessa scene. And I loved that we got another step in the B storyline. Doug fighting (and failing) in his addiction. Meanwhile, Vanessa resisted hers. And Joey did not look happy.    And saying the best for last. I LOVE Nicole vs Silk Press Sheila. Ooooo Nicole got under her skin good. And I loved it. I also hollered at Silk Press couldn't even be fake nice for 5 whole minutes to her. DD did soooooooo good. The body language. The looks. The inflections on just the right words. I LOOOVVVE that confrontation and looking forward to more since she clearly verbally cracked SilkPress's face. Meanwhile, I was just as taken aback at Ted showing up at Silk Press Sheila's place. I also thought it was another fantasy. Nope. And then SilkPress put the moves on him and went just a little more cray cray in the coda.    Just such a great episode.

    • Nope still in development. ABC/Disney are having their upfronts today though, so there's a very slight hope we might get an update.
    • Has anyone ever posted January and February 1974? I can't find them in the 'Look Back to 75' thread. Thanks.
    • Did January and February 1974 DSN ever get posted? I can't seem to find it in this thread.
    • I agree. Especially after SilkPress got back to her apartment and started to mock Nicole. Her dislike for Nicole and seeing her as a threat to her getting Teddy Bear is growing worse. So I could see her pulling a kidnapping on Nicole at some point. If anything she was going there to poke the bear and got pressed (pun unintended) when the bear gathered her.   Completely understandable.

    • I swear this entire time I thought Roman knew about the Phillip/Vivian letter lol.  I do like how mature Roman/Kate are as a couple.  It makes me sad the new writers never got a chance to write for John/Marlena. I agree with @AbcNbc247 that the Felicity stuff is a bit after school special-y.  I am pretty sure that (most) of the viewing audience is aware that a grown man should not be shouting at any teenage girl especially one with disabilities.  Just let Xander apologize and move on. Linsey Godfrey was in her Sarah baby voice mode today and it irritates me to no end.   I know it's a cutesy thing her and Xander do but it's annoying. Bringing Kevin back is strange, but I do like the use of history.  I do think Rex probably could have been used instead, but whatever.  I don't care about Rex much either lol.
    • I mean over the past decades. But I do agree that in recent years now, the writing is not working for them as well as it used to then. It's same old, same old...which is what made the Damian storyline refreshing. At least for me.
