McConnell apparently believes pandemics are real things, perhaps because he had polio when he was a toddler?

Or maybe he's decided to throw Trump under the bus.

Who knows.

I doubt Mitch McConnell believes pandemics are real things, even with his personal history.  I just think he's distancing himself from Trump in order to save his Senate seat.

My question is whether this is because Pence has the 'rona or because Trump is circling the drain.

Couldn't it be both?  ;)

It just occurred to me given how fast this thread has been moving recently that our current politics have become our own little version of a soap opera. We're in here discussing plot twists, cast changes, storylines, and ratings. The next month is basically our sweeps! 😀

Bern Bennett: "Please join us again, for 'The COVID...and the Restless'."

Macdonald Carey: "Like politicians with positive test results, so are the COVIDs of Our Lives."

Stephen Colbert concurs:

I live in a very conservative town in Michigan and it's scary to see that some people are CONDONING the militia that plotted to kidnap Whitmer. I'm already hearing a whole lot of, "Well she asked for it by being a bad governor." (She's a "bad" governor because she wants people to wear masks.) Other comments I've heard are, "She has pushed these people to the edge, what else are they supposed to do?" Others are just calling it fake news put out by the liberal media. 🙄

Just when I think things can't get any crazier in this country "militias" get together and decide to kidnap the governor of Michigan with the intent of putting her on trial ISIS style.  All because she wanted people to wear masks during a pandemic. 🙃

I just wonder why it's taken up to now for Nancy Pelosi to begin talks about invoking the 25th Amendment.

Because it's not up to her. The cabinet is responsible for invoking the 25th and clearly they won't. She's basically trolling Trump with this and I'm fine with it.

Truth is stranger than fiction, sadly. I'm ready for this soap opera to be CANCELLED! Immediately! Give them no time for a grande finale, a la Search for Tomorrow, Love of Life, or Santa Barbara.  Don't drag it out for nearly a year like As the Trump Turns.

What's scary is that, aside from a landslide victory for Biden, we won't get our shocking series finale ender on Nov. 3rd. It'll drag out like a Real Housewives reunion or Secrets Revealed episode.

It still feels too far away. The main question I have is seniors, as I don't know how likely they are to not go back to Trump (Sheldon Adelson is running ads saying Biden will cut social security - from material by scumbags like Greenwald). Hopefully they will not go back to him.

A part of me thinks Pelosi may have been better off not doing the 25th Amendment commission as it just riles the right's voter base up even more, but I guess they are always riled up, no matter what.

Trump supporter and champagne socialist Walker Bragman is back to remind us that all white men who are in militias are just suffering from "economic anxiety."

One of those militia psychos who plotted to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer also showed up in a photo with human thumb Charlie Kirk.
