"#DropOutWarren" is trending from the usual suspects. I knew this would come when they started with the sugary sweet “listen you guys” pleas to do this several months ago.

Honestly I feel like she should drop out. Her campaign has been a total disappointment to me. There is no reason she should be where she is right now in the campaign. Like others, she ignored black voters and I remember when asked if SC should go sooner because it's a more diverse state she said she's just a "player in the game" and ignored it just like she's ignored black voters. She's played catch up in the final weeks, but the investment really wasn't there. It was a given SC wouldn't go for Bernie, but she could've carved a path out for herself if she cared to do so. I don't have sympathy for her or Pete or Amy. They did this to themselves. I think all three need to drop out, along with Bloomberg.

Honestly, I also think Warren should drop out. Klobuchar, too. It's clear both are losing traction fast in the primaries/caucuses and remaining in out of pride or whatever just further serves to splinter the party. I also agree that Buttigieg has no chance and should also exit stage left.

Now, I'm picturing Joe Biden telling the crowd, "I was only supposed to be on every other Tuesday!".  Thank you, @ReddFoxx.

You're welcome, lol.

In post-South Carolina primary news, Biden is picking up donors from other candidates. This is big because he has been low on cash.

I hope Warren stays in because she is probably weakening Bernie.

Yep. I also think she exposes how toxic many of them are.

For @marceline if no one else, I've been waiting for this moment. Good for Joe. Eat it, Bernieworld. I can't believe they still offer up Cornel West for black support.

LOL! Look how far we've come.

I'll admit that I was really worried about the GOP's chaos op so this result feels doubly good.

This actually doesn't surprise me, for many reasons.

As BHM with Trump in the White House concludes (I pray for the last time), I come across news items like these, which should be a reminder to folks that racism does indeed still exist and there is a distinct difference between prejudice and racism. Racism is when a person in power (such as a college/university recruiter) uses his position to degrade and deny opportunities (such as jobs, housing, college acceptance) to  people based on skin color and hair texture.

Exhibit A.

Also, who/where were these teachers?  Why didn't they stop this? I would've immediate told this man to get out of my classroom.

"Teachers left,” Brown said. “They were crying and they were offended. Their faces just look disgusted. I know they had a talk with him after, like, 'That's not okay.'"

I wonder if they didn't intervene because they were worried they would ruin their students chances? I don't know. It's weird that they left their students with this guy, even if they were upset.

Gather yourselves, it's about the students.  My mother used to be a teacher, my brother is a teacher and my uncle is a teacher- I told them about this and they suggested that these teachers are in the wrong profession, which was in my first thought.  Yes, be upset, after you've intervened to help the students.  These kids will remember this for a long time, perhaps a lifetime and it won't be long until they start wondering why the teachers just left them there to fend for themselves in a classroom. WTF.

From what I heard, Mayor Pete was not long for the primary race.

Speaking of which,

Those are such powerful images I almost don't even want to tarnish them my talking about the general election talk...

I too thought Buttigieg would drop out after Super Tuesday, but he was going nowhere and he's never been going anywhere. He should have dropped out last year. I hope that he at least dropped out in time to help Biden a little more in the Super Tuesday states.

While I don't think most of the reasons people opposed him were down to homophobia, the amount of homophobic commentary I saw about him reinforced my longtime views that much of the Democratic Party is very happy to go along with anti-gay talk and views, especially if it's someone who is seen as "the wrong kind of gay." And many gay members of the party are happy to as well. They don't ever understand that the people who hate gays hate ALL OF US, not just the "wrong kind." They will see that when the people they are empowering come for them.
