I agree with you, but I hoped she was a bit more full throated in her speech, and didn't feel the need to start with the idea that she was an independent.

Which is why I felt like Michelle Obama's endorsement at the DNC was much more effective.  From the semiotics of Mrs. Obama's fashion and hair choices, to her abandonment of “when they go low, we go high” rhetoric, it was everything I wanted to hear.  When you contrast that sleeveless dress and those braids against her appearance in 2016, it was so radical and so bold, I believe, she helped lay the groundwork for a change in the culture of politics.  Because she reinforces that we see through attempts at appeasement and embrace authenticity.  She took the “realness” that so many attribute to Trump and turned it on its ear.

Little Bobby has brought shame to the name of "Kennedy" - and with a family that includes a virtual murderer's row of family embarrassments, that's saying something!

The media will push it as a huge event. This is also hand-in-hand with the very well-coordinated moment from dead end left cult leaders/grifters like Hasan Piker are going on about how Kamala Harris is to the right of George W Bush, feigning outrage over her talking about a lethal military, etc. They want her to lose support from the left.

Many of those who are upset were never voting for her anyway, and most of RFK Jr's ever-decreasing amount of supporters were always voting for Trump, but there will be a boost for Trump and loss for Harris on the margins, which could be decisive.

Some of the discussion of the mirage of positive polling for Harris (and before her, Biden and Hillary) also makes me wary.
