That's what Time would have done for many years. Now we get a Tina Brown-esque hack and patch job.

I think that the lack of sincerity is what hurts many in this type of debate. When I look at that cover, not for a minute do I believe Time actually cares. Just as a lot of the people who prop up the media mostly seem to be phoning in their reactions, because deep down, it doesn't really affect them anyway. The days of real grief or emotion in media outlets or in most politicians feel long gone.

He is (or was, I don't know what he does now) a talented writer and comedian, but if people don't realize after tonight that Tom Arnold cares about attention and not a lot else, then they never will. There's a reason he and Roseanne got together. Seeing people on Twitter actually believing all this stuff with Cohen was embarrassing.

There are so many apologists for Trump out there it's sickening.  "It's just summer camp". "it's better than the projects."  F*ck everyone of these people.  I thought I had weeded all of the Trumpers out of my life, but one eluded me. Just today with a Facebook post about how that Time's cover was a lie and the little girl in the photo was never taken from her mother.  I have no idea if that's true, but it's obviously not the point. Over 2000 were taken, so anyone trying to minimize that trauma is delusional in my book.  I just pray the democrats can take back the house in November because we are well and truly a heartless nation right now.

I don't believe she talked to any black people in the projects.Fox has her on to talk about immigration issues because Mexican American.  Fox is good at playing the token card and I can't be  racist/sexist, etc if I have a friend who is black/latino/female. Campos-Duffy along with her future husband were contestants on the Real World back in the early or mid 90s.  She was one of the  finalists to replace Lisa Ling when Ling left the on View but Elisabeth Hasselbeck was chosen instead.

Didn't Campos-Duffy basically turn her back on Pedro Zamora when she discovered he had AIDS?  She and her husband deserve one another, both idiotic bigots.

Speaking of another idiotic bigot, wasn't this man's summit with Kim supposed to render the nuclear threat completely over, according to him?  To say, he changes like the weather would be an insult to weather and meteorologists everywhere.

    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
