I had forgotten about that. I think Periello probably should have stayed out of politics after he lost the last time. The main thing I imagine will be the result of this is a lot of articles about how the left is demoralized and will stay home. I'm expecting the same after the GA results either way as I'm already seeing such talk about how Ossoff is so conservative.

I'm in Northern VA, voted Northam but I had to force myself to go honestly because I know I'll be looking for the "D" on the ballot when the election comes no matter who wins the primary.  The ads here have been interesting with the Republican candidate running weird pro-Trump messaging.  I laughed when I heard it.  And then said he was the only one who could "beat the Democrats".

It sounds like Georgia's ground game is off the hook. People are putting signs on their front door that say "Don't knock. I already voted." I think the race will be a squeaker. I wish the race in SC5 was getting more attention. Archie Parnell is the type of candidate I like. He's a wonk. He proudly says that he could talk about the tax code for hours. At a time when candidates seem to live and die by three-word slogans, I like a candidate not afraid to tout their knowledge.

Most people are going to shrug and move on once they realize nothing OTT is going to happen in this story. America will continue to slowly grind to a halt, and the best we can hope is that a Democrats with superhuman abilities is elected POTUS in 2020, as he or she will be facing a hard right and Republican-dominated Congress and judiciary, a media that would do anything to help Republicans, and a public that by and large would not notice anything beyond the latest headline about Katy Perry.

Per usual, Kamala Harris is the only Senator to be interrupted.

I told someone earlier today that I didn't expect anything of merit to come out of Session's hearing because he is patently dishonest and has shown previously that he has no problem perjuring himself under oath.

He looked grossly incompetent to say the least.

It's...not a perfect comparison. For one, Tom has quite a few people supporting him who supported Hillary, who are IN NO WAY Bernie Bros (both people who specifically worked for her and people in VA that I know personally).

But honestly, I'm Team Switzerland here. I'm happy with either one.

Iraqi Christians in Michigan are being deported, likely to death or worse. Remember how we went on and on and on and on and on some more about how we were doing this all for the persecuted Christians in the Middle East? Not that any of the people mongering these wars ever actually meant that.

Some of them were arrested on their way to church.

Some of them only know English.

Notice that you aren't hearing any Republican or any "family" group saying a thing about this. Gosh I wonder why that is?

I voted.  But YEP.  BIG YEP!  I am done.  I will look for the rest of my life for a "D" on the ballot. Not that I didn't before, but there were rare occasions in my town where I voted Republican.  That will no longer happen.  I was young, gay and stupid when I did that.  They are the ones who busy themselves with driving issues between people.  Roe Vs. Wade shouldn't even be a DISCUSSION.  IT'S LAWFUL.  They constantly insert themselves into other people's lives when it's convenient for them.  I'm so TIRED OF IT.

By the way - Baron wears a T-Shirt that says "Expert" on it.  LOLLLLLL.  It sells out.  Expert of what?  Being rich and entitled?  Ivanka on Fox says - being in DC has been enlightening, she never knew people were viscious.  *ITCH SERIOUSLY?  You didn't listen to your own FATHER tell people to "THROW HER IN JAIL?"  DID YOU NOT KNOW DC IS A LIBERAL TOWN?  BORDERS ON MARYLAND AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA?  YOU DIDN'T KNOW THINGS MIGHT NOT BE REALLY SHELTERED FOR YOU????  GOD they are STUPID.

    • I just read that Alice Halsey, the new young Rachel, has just landed the role of Laura Ingalls on the Netflix reboot of Little House on The Prairie. https://deadline.com/2025/05/little-house-on-the-prairie-laura-ingalls-cast-alice-halsey-1236383465/ Soooo...I don't see her remaining on Days for too long.
    • Jason, can you give me those dates, pretty please? If so, I'll do an edit of her. She was such a delight.
    • Sure, babe. I found those once when I was desperately searching for an Alexandra Spaulding dinner party date & I literally struck out everywhere else. We should throw a cyber party & invite Matt Smith & ChickenNuggetz* & whoever helps them with the Vault & Jason47 & Eddie Drueding ...
    • My late mom remembered Jordan Clarke as Tim Ryan.. and she said he was vastly different than Billy.  She also said she remembered that Rita and Evie were more tangled up with Tim when both came on the show.. while he ended up leaving with another character.   Then Rita was moved into the Ed/Holly orbit taking on the scheming traits of Holly (this was around the time of the original Holly leaving), and Evie got pulled into Ben's orbit.. but not sure if this was during his brief relationship with Hope or not.
    • Not Doug acting like people felt Dani might act during this Ted reveal.   Awww an Andre/Eva scene.    Oooo Silk Press Sheila and her crazy woman music.    MMmmmm...multiple cliffhangers!!!! Kat vs Eva. Nicole vs Ted.    Awww hell no!!! Not Silk Press Sheila confronting the Duprees. Anita might eat her alive. lol. And I was never so glad as to not see them. I was already annoyed at Vanessa/Doug interrupting the action. I actually might have felt a way about seeing them. For once. lol. I do think they were edited out though.   I mean...it's kinda hard NOT to look so      Ooooo I didn't think about that.
    • Rest in peace, Ruth Buzzi! Laugh In was before my time, but from the clips I have come across on YouTube, she was a very funny lady. Prayers to her loved ones.
    • First, Martin vs Ted. Now Kat vs Ted.
    • Team Silk Press Sheila!  I hope she topples the mighty Duprees because that family has it coming. The spoilers that were posted last week for today's episode had Ashley/Derek mentioned, but as we saw, they weren't featured at all.  Was that part of the spoiler a mistake, or did the show edit them out.    Nice to see a bit of Vanessa/Doug.. and I'm fascinated by Vanessa's perspective in regards to Dani/Bill's marriage vs Nicole/Ted's marriage. While this was a good episode, it does highlight that the show is lacking non-Dupree related characters.
    • Cry me a river! lol. Oh, Silk-Press.     Awwww no good night for Dani and Andre.    Uh oh. They are at the house. It's dark and Mona did let everyone off for the night...
