Members bellcurve
PLEASE GOD LET THIS BE TRUE! I really hope The CW doesn't kill this show.
Members dragonflies
Unless that actor is returning, I don't see that happening, and he said he has no desire to return at this time

Colin's no huge loss either IMO. I just hope the show doesn't turn into the Amanda hour like the original did when Darren Star left, because I like most of the new tenants. Members Sylph
Yup. Can someone explain how exactly did the pick Slavkin & Swimmer to run this show? I mean, Smallville and Melrose aren't really alike. Which is why this was doomed from the start. P. S. That promo is...
Members Chris B
The show was always too dark and it's clear they didn't watch the original series. Melrose on paper may seem dark, but it was an Aaron Spelling show! It was very light and camp and the violence was done in a Wonder Woman-esque non-violent way. All the original characters are old and bitter and have lost their personalities. Where is the humor that Sydney and Michael were known for? I feel like this upcoming revamp will fall flat as well. They simply don't understand the show and these new characters are too mediocre for me to care.
Members Sylph
Yes. They don't really care, it's not their type of show. It's such an awkward environment for them. It really lacks that campy, over-the-top, juicy FUN.
Members detroitpiston
They found out Dawn O was looking for a showrunner and asked to meet with her. Since they were the only writers who had a full bible ready to go with ideas she liked, they got the job.
Members JackPeyton
wasnt Ashlee always suposed to be gone in episode 13? I thought that was the plan from the get go. sad about colin. but yay for a revamp, this show needs it. more ella, less everyone else. and billy campbell <
Members Sylph
Wow. I never would've said. They said it in an interview or sth.? You haven't found the pilot script?
Members detroitpiston
They said it in an interview, I think the LA Times one, but I could be wrong. No luck finding the pilot. They seem to keep everything that has to do with scripts top secret(I can't even find casting sides for the show).
Members Sylph
I hate it when they make it so hidden and unavailable. Usually the pilot surfaces somewhere. It was in the LA Times:
Administrator Toups Posted October 24, 2009 Author Administrator Share Posted October 24, 2009 Hooray about ASW!! I'm not sad about Colin either. Looking forward to the newer characters. I still have faith in Slavkin & Swimmer - many writers move different genres, they just have to know the world thet get into (say unlike Tim Kring who didn't know a thing about the superhero universe). Members bellcurve
Watching Shoreline right now... Ashlee Simpson, it's a soap opera. Not a porno. Dial it down a notch. Can't wait till they get rid of her face. And where was Auggie/Colin in this episode? LOL. I guess they knew from the get-go that they needed to phase him out. And why did Riley say "Property Management Company?" Jane owns the building. Right? Someone wake me when Heather gets here and tells everyone, "I'm buying the building." Members bellcurve
Jo is such a lesbo and always has been. I could never completely buy she likes men. She needs to be Ella's biker lover. And Lauren and David have GREAT chemistry with each other. Easily a pairing that clicks or could click.
