I remember the three sisters episode i think thats the first time i even paid attention to the show back then. I was a kid and to me it was mostly background noises until i had to go to bed lol.

My mom was watching and i will always remember thinking the show's name in french was dumb. I am french canadian so instead of the West Coast title we had something reminescent of a freddy krugger's bad sequel.

Les heritiers du reves was a very bad translation lol

But i think i got hooked during the who killed ciji saga. I remember chip getting empalled by a pitchfork and thinking val was dumb to pick gary over ben. I remember the abby vs olivia "Give me the keys" scenes.

And to this day im probably the only tom ryan fan out there. Joseph gian stands as my first KL crush.

Wish they had made michael fairgate gay. I always assumed that he was in the closet and with an overbearing mom like karen who could blame him?

If they did a reboot do you think they should recast the role of eric? The brother rivalry btween karens sons could have been tapped into further.

A shame that they killed linda off cuz i think she was the shows last hurrah in terms of introducing a new vixen with some vulnerabilities.

And to this day i hate the show for trapping my tommy boy with vanessa hunt at the end of the series.

Season 3 is one of those seasons I want to go back and watch again sometime. I think it's the season that really made Knots everything it would later be.

I wouldn't recast Eric. I think that Dallas remake shows how bad these revivals are at recasting these types of roles. I'd just say he is gone, and if they want drama, maybe have a not-dead Linda return with his adult son or daughter, out to scam the family.

Unless its a twin sister out for revenge i dont see it. KL never relied on the back from the dead cliché

And while steve shaw was well liked among the cast and grew up on the show i never felt that eric fairgate as a character was that relevent to prevent a successful recast.

He was just as relevent as jason avery was to me and i wouldnt mind a recast if the show was relaunched.

God I am so addicted. This show holds up completely. You could air it in 2014 and it would still work.

I wish SoapNet were still showing this, one episode a day. I have them all on VHS but who has time to fish up the tapes and find my old VHS player?

Wow JVA was on BEVERLY hills 90210? ;)

I know you meant Valerie Malone lol.and yeah i caught him on that show too. I think he was briefly on YR as well if im not mistaken but i never really followed it.

I was so mad that they trapped Tom Ryan with that awful british gal at the end of the show.

One of my personal stand-out scene was wheen Paige tries to get on abby's good side by alluding that theyre cut from the same cloth.

Abby turns around and goes:"Nah, we're nothing alike. Everything i got i had to fight for it which in the eyes of people like you is a huge threat. Cuz everything you've got was handed to you."

Para-phrasing here but this scene is what defines Abby the most. She was a self-made woman and yes she wasnt above using her charm to get what she wants but she was a fighter who would resort to (almost) any length to get what she wanted.

And the"give me the keys" scenes with Olivia is another stand-out for me.

    • He definitely got lost in the shuffle last year. First, they were implying that he was Drew’s son, then he was nothing more than just Violet’s bff

And then they changed him to being Dante and Brook Lynn’s son, which was clunky at first but I’m enjoying the storyline now.
    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
    • Thanks. I must have missed that period entirely for Lifetime.
    • Thanks. I know Marland did that type of thing sometimes but it's less likely with these characters. I don't even remember Alex ever mentioning him.
    • French fan summary Rusty took over Simon's job at Lewis Trucking after Simon transferred to Lewis Oil's North Carolina office to live near Jessie and Calla. I doubt they would bother following up a story for offscreen characters eg marriage and a baby.
    • I suspected that the performance with the reveal was the reason why the Ted actor got the axe and it looks like I was right. He wasn't really good at conveying what needed to be conveyed in those scenes. Claybon is at least slowly improving (but I agree that he still needs to work on his line delivery), but I do wonder what will happen when his big reveal is coming up.
    • I've already asked this before, recently, but can anyone who watched those years more closely tell me if anything said about Jessie and Simon at the end of their profiles is accurate (about them marrying, naming a baby after Brandon/Lujack, etc.)?
