September 9, 200817 yr Member He better be wise enough not to fire any of the Y&R vets... The hell that will break loose! Edited September 9, 200817 yr by YRBB
September 9, 200817 yr Member LMAO. Paul RAUCH!!! Poor, poor Y&R. The winds of hell started blowing the minute Amanda L. Beall was hired... tell-tale signs of DANGER, WILL ROBINSON! DANGER!
September 9, 200817 yr Member I hope he's good! I know GL was REALLY good for a while with Annie Dutton. But if he brings in the mob and makes them a central figure in GC I'll be one angry Y&R fan. Oh - and no clones or new fictional lands. Stick to who the chatacters are and their history and you're good to go.
September 9, 200817 yr Member Camp is his biggest thing. I don't know why we needed yet another change Y&R is getting better. 3 eps in one year. And I think at least 3 or 4 writing changes.
September 9, 200817 yr Member Not familiar with his work, but WTF are they trying to do to Y&R? Wait a minute, didn't Nelson Blanco claim several weeks ago that Paul Rauch had been fired from Y&R? Now we find out that Rauch actually got promoted. Further evidence that Blanco doesn't know squat. Next time people get into a tizzy over one of Blanco's ridiculous false rumors, I plan to remind everyone how often he is dead wrong.
September 9, 200817 yr Member I've never seen his work. I'll keep an open mind - he must have done something right for them to hire him.

September 9, 200817 yr Member Like I said... No one believed me (about Rauch). Hint: watch what I post. I always do.
September 9, 200817 yr Member Eh, as long as we don't get ridiculous bright lighting and everyone wearing awful fluorescent colours all the time, I'm OK with this. But isn't Rauch pushing 80? I really don't see him at Y&R for very long. Rauch is a "strong" EP, something Griffith wasn't, I'm willing to see how he fairs here
September 9, 200817 yr Member Paul Rauch is one of those producers who needs to be paired with a strong-willed writer. I wrote this on page no. 1. And he was also at GL for Joan Collins' sublime run as Alexandra. I think he's a strong EP, which I can't say for Griffith. I gave up hope of ever getting back the Y&R of yesteryear a long time ago, I've made peace with it. I am now excited to see how Rauch fares, he may surprise us, I hope he does. I am excited, too. The winds of hell started blowing the minute Amanda L. Beall was hired... tell-tale signs of DANGER, WILL ROBINSON! DANGER! Well, he sure is better than your Julie.
September 9, 200817 yr Member So, how fast before Lloyd Gold leaves GL to become a staff writer at Y&R? You know Rauch hires him wherever he goes, he's to Rauch what Whitesell is to Tomlin, though Gold won't be given a HW position. Also, I hope Rauch fires this casting director at Y&R at the moment, she's generally horrible. Didn't he fire the late great Betty Rea's replacement at GL after a short time?

September 9, 200817 yr Member Also, now I have more faith that Y&R's upcomming Paris shoot will actually come off nice on screen, OLTL did a few location shoots in the 80's under Rauch that were well done...
