This drug story is rubbish. I blame the writing and the actors. The writing is so preposterous. These people live in a village. How come they know where to go score class A drugs? And Pa Barton is way too hot to end up in a prison cell... unless I'm in there with him. He really needs to dump that family of his and take up with Alicia or Faye.

Dishy Declan's ex- wife and daughter are just downright annoying. I can't believe Alicia took that insult from the ex-wife. I thought Alicia would had told her off and pull her hair out. Disappointing. Declan and Faye should hook up. Faye would tell the ex-wife where to get the hell off.

I am glad that Rhoneh got it over with and told Pearl she is pregnant\.

Bob is so weak. I don't why he doesn't tell VIv to cut it out.

I've heard people say the Holly story is better because it's realistic, but I think that it went past realism when they had Moira secretly give Holly heroin. The other problem is that her buildup into heroin was offcamera, and the girl who plays her wasn't a lot different with "happy" Holly than she has been with druggie Holly.

It seems like Emmerdale is still scarred from all the criticism for their comedy a few years ago. Another open-a-vein story is starting soon, although at least the actors should be able to carry it off.

Considering EE is a mess right now, I can see why people prefer to watch Emmerdale.

Personally, a bad episode of ED is better than a good episode of EE, as that show is all over the place - very plot focused, with a lot of unrealistic scenes, and stories that lack depth. It's still watchable, just generally not very good.

This Viv plot is a bit meh, and Bob really needs to grow a pair, and Hazel continues to annoy, but I'm learning to tolerate her. The juries still out on Ella & Mia, as they seem to be drifting between not quite being bitchy snobs (Kim Tate, Lady Tara) and not quite down-to-earth (Natasha Wylde), so they never really create much of an impact.

I hope the upcoming Eric & Val story is handled well, especially as it's rooted in his history, dating back to the 1993 plane crash and the death of his wife, Elizabeth.

Although I think that Aaron and Jackson's reunion happened too quickly and isn't realistic, their reunion scenes were very sweet yesterday.

I like Hazel, but she really needs to stay out of Aaron and Jackson's relationship. She may not want Jackson to be alone, but hounding Aaron who has major doubts isn't the way to go there.

Here are my thoughts on Emmerdale.

Its gone from one of its best years to its dullest in my opinion. Either i aint making a connection or nothing on the show is interesting me. I know Gavin Blyth passed away but i still have a right to express an opinion. The Carl/Chas/Eve story is really the only story worth watching. Everything else is just awful. Why arent Cain & Charity getting more screen time ? Where's Victoria ? Why Are The Bartons getting Too much screentime ? Whos running Home Farm ? Emmerdale needs sorting out and hopefully the new producer can get to work. Also glad Kelly Windsor is coming back.

Characters I Love

- Alan , Victoria , Lisa , Marlon , Cain , Charity , Katie , Chas , Debbie , Carl , Jimmy , Scarlett & The Bartons

Characters I Dislike

- Viv , Edna , Rhona , Sandy & Declan

Characters I Bring Back

- Nathan , Shadrach , Daz , Jasmine , Robert , Donna , Matthew , Shane , Jack , Tom , Sadie , Zoe , Seth , Kim , Amos & Joe

This is old news, but I was searching if Volume 3 of Emmerdale Farm had been released and someone on Digital Spy stated, through an email he/she had received, that there were no plans of doing so. Just completely and utterly disappointing to hear. Those first 52 episodes were such treasures.

Have any of the other soaps come out with seasonal DVD's where the episodes are consecutive?

What you NOT gonna do to me!
    • Bravo to every single person responsible for today's episode. From the writer on down to Kraft services. Yall I'm getting emotional but I wish my granny was here to have seen this soap since she was the one to introduce me to this medium.

    • Everything is fraught with confusion. Why is Leslie pleading with the Duprees to accept Eva? She's not biological family so what is this? She's the product of an affair with their in-law so Leslie wants them to accept her? I'm getting GOOD TIMES vibes of Leslie and Eva minus the physical abuse.
    • Big fan of today's writing. In particular, I like EJ complexity, crying over Johnny and conspiring at the same is tough to pull off in the same episode, but it goes very far in explaining EJ's motives. I don't hate the idea of Cat and EJ, and I especially appreciate everyone trying to warn her, but she is sticking to the plan. Boy oh boy, when Brandon Beemer wears a shirt that matches his eyes, I get lost in the screen!
    • Yeah, I think that Leslie's speech would have had a bit more of an impact if Ted had been the Dupree's son, with Nicole being the daughter in law they loved like a daughter. But being that he's the son in law, and that Eva (at least not right now) isn't technically a Dupree, it doesn't hold as much weight. They aren't caring much for Ted right now and their feelings could be trickling down to Eva. Though, I do think they have some sympathy for her. I really enjoyed today's show. Loved a stripped, down hurt but still strong in her resolve Nicole. DD continues to shine and shows why she is IMO the heart of the show. I felt her words, and anger at Ted and how she broke down in Kat's arms at the end. She is just wonderful all the way around. I also loved the way that Anita read Leslie. She was spot on about her and how mishandled everything with Ted and Eva. And speaking of Leslie... I immediately thought the same thing once I saw that scene. That what she exhibited was trash behavior. I don't think she's a good mother. In fact, I think she's lousy. Granted, I have missed some episodes, but I haven't really seen her do anything to indicate that she really cares for Eva or her well being. All she's really done is try and manipulate/use Eva for her own agenda since she came to town.
    • I thought Brandon C was much more believable as Martin today.  Before, I watched an actor trying to portray a character.  Friday and today, I simply felt the character.
    • The way Leslie uses her love shower Eva with and then snatches it away when Eva doesn’t do what she wants is something that should be focused on down the road.    Great end to the episode overall and kudos to the writing and production team for carefully executing all of this.

date: Monday, May 5 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Anthony Pascarelli Dana is certifiably insane. Beyond insane. And I oop... Anita is about to pop off on her, and this is where it gets good. Oh God, Deadbeat, stop while you're ahead. You are not one to talk with how you treat your husband and children. Settle. Go on, Nicole. Tell Theodore exactly who his busted ass is. Not Dana comparing herself to those she's compared herself to. Damn, Katherine is really putting Eva beyond the bottom of her shoe with her insults. Savage, but deserved, because she called out Eva the first day. She knew, and not a single person believed her. Oh, Theodore, how dare you try and play yourself on the same level as Nicole; it's completely different. Mama Anita is up to bat, and she's going to come out swinging. And she delivered it to Dana in the way only the matriarch of a family could. Nicole kicking Theodore out "day by day" is everything. She's not taking this anything but day by day. W H E W... Katherine telling Eva she's dead to her. Wow. That's got to cut. Dana locking Eva's ass out and drinking her wine in her robe is the ultimate villain. True villain. Notes: Anyone trying to sell that Brandon Claybon (Martin) has improved in his acting must be lying, because this is laughable and bad. Next up for recast: the role of Martin Richardson. Omg. It's so damn bad. This man cannot act. At all. He's got to GO! Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) is showing how much she's been missed from daytime. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) once again gave an award-winning performance in her scenes. Outstanding, standout star! The montage with Tamara Tunie (Anita) singing "Amazing Grace" was a brilliant touch to wrap up the episode, and to allow us the ability of moving on on Thursday.
    • That ending was beautifully done. Anita took us to church.
