Not sure I'm buying Bear's "death". And why the scene where Dylan tells Laurel about Joe was off screen???

And there goes Joe...

You mean Ray I suppose?

And while I certainly won't complain that this awful story is coming to an end it feels oddly anti-climactic how it ends. It almost feels like they wanted it over as quick as possible. Could it be that this whole story has become so unpopular that they re-wrote the end and took the easy way out and now they try to bury it while the attention is focused on the whole "Corriedale" extravaganza? 🤔

Or maybe they learned their lesson from the Tom/Belle story which they dragged out far too long.

I think they wanted to clear up loose ends with Corriedale here, and the complaints are another factor. I think it got over a hundred Ofcom complaints, which an increasingly gunshy ITV may listen to.

I saw someone say they tried to watch Emmerdale for the first time due to the crossover and it was so miserable they couldn't finish. I'm not surprised. The show has not been this bleak in a very long time, if ever. And the "comic relief" is a violent thug guest character (Kev) and the woeful Kerry, who is also a killer.

It's been absolutely abysmal for a very long time, and bordering on unwatchable. It's been relentless misery and it's hard to understand why they've gone down this road with such seeming determination. There's just been no relief from the darkness, and the fact that Kevin has been seen as that just proves my point. He's a psychopathic violent ex-con, and that he has been perceived as a light-hearted part of the show speaks volumes.

Can we just have the Emmerdale of 2006 again.

That was the show at its peak. I don't think its ever been that good since.

It's sad to see this unnessacary dark Emmerdale now. It just doesn't fit whatsoever the shows mythos. If anything, the child sex trafficking story would be a better fit for EastEnders because that's the type of stories they tend to do best.

Graham and Joe and Kim Was a really great time for a dark Emmerdale period BUT Joe’s return was a bust cause Debbie wasn’t there and we knew they won’t ever let Joe win

And now they will butcher Graham’s great run from back then too. Gosh (

Next thing we know they will bring back Meena causing another havoc lol

The shows Mythos has been dead for a long long time. Yeah all these stories fit Eastenders or Hell even Corrie. But it became such a punishment to watch a new episode cause u know it will just get worse. U had stories with potential and some great pacing and twist and turns like Belle and tom just to get dragged out and turned into a joke and a farce.

So, they killed off Celia, Ray and John.... taking the easy way out with all three. But does that mean that the darkness and misery will be toned down? Apparently not, for now Joe will blackmail Victoria and Robert with the knowledge that Victoria killed John, Moira will be implicated in Celia's slavery ring and Cain will have cancer. Oh, and we also have the whole affair with Charity's baby lie to deal with. And there will obviously be some dark secret behind Graham's return from the dead.....

I have no idea who Graham was/is, so I'll have to do some Emmerdale Wikia reading for that one.

I knew all the villains were on the chopping block, but I was surprised they removed them in the span of what, two episodes?
