I Think Stephanie Cameron was a much better Jennifer, she was a lot faster then Jennifer, she was nice but she could be a little more tougher sometimes, Melissa Reeves Jennifer was a bore.!!!!?????......... (days)

From Louise Sorel to Marj Dusay, temp.(days,)

From Kirsten Storms to Charity Rahmer(days,)

From Erin Torpey to Maggie Anderson, temp(oltl,)

From Erin Torpey to Bree Williamson(oltl,)

I was going to say character of Laura Horton, from Susan Flannery to Jaime Lyn Bauer but i liked Jaime also as Laura.........!!!!!!!!?????????

I do want to add something:

Jessica Buchanan: Erin Torpey to Bree Williamson (pre-Tess): Though they look alike they act different. Actually, i was bothered by Williamson's body type, skinny, while Torpey was real looking but that me. And Williamson is obviously Canadian (aboot). Jessica became stupid under her. Supporting the killer. Marrying Tico. Being with Antonio. Now since Tess, I love Williamson. I was at the doctors office and i saw her refusing to be a mother to Keri's child because of Nash. I loved when she cried in the rain. Williamson has proved to be a good replacement. But i think Erin can come back and still be a good Jessica.

Craig Montgomery: Hunt Block to Jeffery Meek: I liked Hunt in the role (but I like Hunt in anything.) Meek didn't seem to cut it. He looked nothing like Scott Bryce and Hunt Block. He didn't fit with Lucy. I just didn't like him. I'm glad they brought back Bryce. I remember him from Popular he was good.

Ugh...you caught me! I meant Michael Dietz, who later became Mark on B&B. The jump from Hearst to Dietz was jarring, because it was right after AM had married Lucy, right? And something about a sinking yacht, where Angel guy saved them, and suddenly AM was just mad all the time.

Conversely, the jump from Carl T Evans to Hearst was handled right, because AM was off-screen for a little bit (something about him being kidnapped and Blake found him, I think...) and came out of it with an attitude.

ATWT

Adam Munson, Matthew Morrison to Matt Cavenaugh

Margo Hughes, Ellen Dolan to Glynnis O'Connor

Chris Hughes, Paul Korver to Alan White

Brad Snyder, John Loprieno to Austin Peck

Nikki Munson, Jordana Brewster to McKenzie Satterthwaite

Philece is the first Donna I remembered seeing during my childhood, so there was always something about her I liked. Even in seeing the Soapnet reruns, I still liked her and Anna Stuart equally. I didn't mind the character being hammy in a Brenda Dickson style. :)

another one:

Jessica Bennet, Passions: From Jade Harlow to Danica Stewart: Jade's Jessica was sweet, innocent and knows when her sister was getting into trouble. Sadly she didn't have any big storyline's other than her and Reese Durkee getting together. What a waste. When Danica came in i was like "oh she was porn-Maxie on GH" when I saw her giddy face walking down the steps and stumbling over her lines i was like "oh HELL NO!" Then in January 2004, came the worst moment in Passions history, when Miguel and Jessica found Charity and Reese in bed together. I never knew Jessica was with Reese because of how bad her acting was. Then came Mark Jessica, I'm glad thats all she did for about a year or 2. Then came Prostitute Jessica, I was wishing Jade would come back. The one thing that I won't miss about Passions when it moves to DirecTV, Danica Stewart.

Leah Bauer, GL,: Nameless baby actress (if anyone knows who this person is reply) to Arielle Renwart: SOARSED Rule Number One: If you want to make a baby girl born 2 years ago into a teenager, GIVE HER SOMETHING TO DO OTHER THAN WHINING ABOUT HOW HER PARENTS AREN'T TOGETHER.

That's exactly how she plays Marty Saybrook. She's a disaster. Susan Haskell was pregnant, OLTL should have waited.

Y&R Lily Winters Ramolotti, from Davetta Sherwood to Christel Kahili

Victoria Newman, from Heather Tom to Amelia Henie

Billy Abbott, from David Tom to Ryan Brown as Billy Abbott

It hasn't happened yet, but I'm expecting to add Colleen Carlton, from Adrianne Leon to Tammin Suosuk.

SANTA BARBARA: Carrington Garland to Eileen Davidson as Kelly Capwell...Garland struck a true chord in the role and made it her own...I totally was able to forget Robin Wright's Kelly, and the striking similarity Garland had to Marcy Walker was FABULOUS. Cut to Eileen, and let me just say I am a big fan of Ms. Davidson from Y&R and DAYS. However she WAS NOT Kelly, and the character was a complete stranger under Davidson through the end of the show's run.

RYAN'S HOPE: Marg Helegenberger to Carell Meyers as Siobhan...a total misfire that came at such a critical time for the struggling show. Marg's spunky and vulnerable Siobhan was the undisputed herione of the show through the early to mid 80's and it was clear TBTB put all their eggs in one basket highlighting the long-running starcrossed love of Joe and Siobhan. However, the dreadful Meyers stepped into the role and immediately her acting and the writing turned the once strong police woman into a whimpering sobbing weak mess lacking chemistry with ANYONE in the cast.

GH: Jonathan Jackson to Jacob Young as Lucky Spencer. Jackson took years fleshing out perhaps one of the best intelligent, soulful, and engrossing portraits of a teen ever, work for which he was rewarded with a much-earned slew of awards. Young assumed the role and turned Lucky into the sort of one note tennage jerks from a WB teen drama. Basically Young has played the same role on three different shows (arrogant, smirking, always angry and yelling), no matter what the character's true history and/or concept is.

I have more that I reveal later...gotta watch Glenn Close in Damages now!

yet another one:

Rick Forrester, B&B: from Justin Torkildson to Kyle Lowder: Justin brought something to Rick. He was kinder and gentler than Jacob Young. He was a better fit with Kimberly and even Amber. I liked him. I liked when he made his returns after he left. But for some reason Bell decided to hire Lowder. I don't like him. He was only brought on because of his singing talent. He is a horrible actor. Chemistry can override incest (look at Tammy and Jonathan from GL) but he's horrible with Phoebe...then again Constipation..err Constantine is worst with her MacKenzine Mauzy can't win except she's the only saving grace from this horrible storyline. Back to Lowder, I don't like him with Ashley, either. They are just 2 dogs in heat. I like her better with Ridge. Justin needs to be brought back and Phoebe should probably be with CJ.

Dan, I agree with you 100% all the way regarding the Alan Spaulding switches! I didn't start watching THE LIGHT until 1988 and never got a chance to see the late Chris Bernau in the role. However, from I had read and heard concerning Bernau's portrayal leads me to conclude that his Alan and Ron Raines' are two totally different beasts. I started watching just at the time that the God-awful Daniel Pilon was in the role...maybe its just me, but I have never liked Pilon, perhaps because I hated the character he played on RYAN'S HOPE (Max Dubujak the criminal mastermind) with a passion! When the announcement was made that Alan would be returning the the show again with Raines in the role, I was excited, thinking that the character would be played with some fire and become a force to be reckoned with as he had been under Berau.

Unfortunately I have been utterly disappointed now for many many years. Alan as played by Raines has never sparked any interest...perhaps it is because the character at first was so watered down while the rest of the Spauldings were so bold and dynamic (think Alex as played by Bev M), and in the last few years has become nothing more than an annoying and quite silly buffoon. No one fears Alan in Springfield...if anything they just tolerate him. He doesn't come off as the true head of the family, and he has become not a villian that you love to hate...instead he is a stock character you just hate period.

As for Beth Chamberlin, I fell in love with her sensitive portrayal of Beth when she was introduced in 1989. However, I don't think the actress is to blame at all for the horrible character destruction Beth has been victim to every since she returned to town scheming to break up Phillip and Harley. Only a few weeks into Chamberlin's second tenure on the show I was yeliing at my tv screen "THAT IS NOT BETH!". The actress gives the role and the show her all (in example the way she threw herself body and soul into the Lorelie (sp?) story), and has been extremely loyal even in the face of TPTB showing her constant desrespect. I truly wish she could go to a show that would write her a good character and allow her to really shine.

Deborah Adair to Lauren Koslow as Kate Roberts on Days.

Red-headed smart Stephanie to brunette bimbo Stephanie on Days (sorry, dunno the actors).

Laura Wright to Nicole Forrester as Cassie Winslow on GL.

Aubrey Dollar to Mandy Bruno as Marina Cooper on GL.

Heck, 95% of GL's recasts in the past however many years.

Christel Kahili to Davetta Sherwood as Lily Winters Ramolotti on Y&R. Sorry, I didn't like Sherwood at all, but now it seems that Kahili isn't so great, either. It has more to do with the writing, though.

Nicole looks like a Cynthia Watros's Annie lookalike. I don't understand why Reva and Josh aren't freaking out that her sis and his love look like Annie. Now THATS a good storyline

There was actually a recast in between Aubrey and Mandy named Kit Paquin. She debut after the Carrie Nye/Marina/Michelle/Marah storyline. She was a fan of the show. She was as horrible as Mandy. She had this smirk for some reason. I don't understand why Marina isn't a cop...in California where her mom is.
