Yeah, it's like a pattern. Almost every GOOD actor/actress that PSNS manages to get they waste, while no-talents like Charles Divins, Danica Stewart, and Mark Cameron Wystrach are on almost every day.

In a way, if they didn't do a rewrite and make Chad's lover obvious, disappointing and stupid it'd be way out of character for the show and the writers. So how would we know if it was pressure from outside sources causing a rewrite or the writers being their usual lame-o selves?

I mean...the conspiracy theorist in me can't help but wonder if this thread is meant to distract, offer an excuse for the writers when it comes up obvious and boring once again.

JSF.... I just can't put my trust into this show that it will actually follow through on something that fans want. I have hoped and hoped in the past, and just been screwed over too many times. My heart is not in this show anymore.

Agreed. The show is so close to losing me and I have watched since the beginning. The only thing keeping me tuned in is Lucy and Jaresa and the holidays, which is the only time of year Passions is halfway decent anymore.

I would be surprised if Passions didn't cop out. Every single thing that shows promise on this show gets ruined. They brought the lovely Sharon Wyatt on and wastered her. They ruined the Vendetta plot by making the monk Al. They botched up the characters of Katherine Crane and Martin Fitzgerald. This could be something to give Passions alot of buzz and, if written properly which I doubt it will be, it can be pretty good even with Divins there. I agree that it is leaning in the male direction but I don't think Jared is a candidate anymore to be with Chad. It just doesn't seem that way anymore but I do think he is with a guy. I just think Passions will either botch it again like they always do or not do it at all and cop out. I have no faith in them anymore and am at the point where I only watch out of habit and the actors/characters.

Think about it: If Jared really is Alistar (as several fans think), and he used that space age disguise mechanism that made him thinner and into Charlie, and if he had an affair with Chad, then it will have been the SECOND "gay" relationship he has shared with two characters. Strangely, he kissed his own daughter a lot (when he would kiss Beth as Charlie)...but this time, oh wait, he'd be kissing his grandson...and screwing his grandson@@ @@@@@!!!!!!!

But you know something else JSF, for this to be so would require yet another rewrite. Let's assume Jared is the mystery person. Remember, according to Chad's flashbacks, this relationship started well before Chad went to Rome and while in Rome, Chad was making/receiving phone calls to/from the mystery person FROM HARMONY which means that Alistair couldn't have been in Harmony during that time. Now my assumption would be that if it's Jared, then Jared was ALREADY in Harmony and when we saw him for the "first" time at the "Blue Note", his interactions with Chad were just a throw-off. They already knew each other BEFORE the Blue Note encounter.
