Hmmmm.......In what way would Alistair be involved with Chad's sexuality?

I doubt seriously Alistair has anything to do with Chad and his "play-thing". Chad turned to whomever when he was estranged from Whitney and that was around the time that Alistair was completely losing it. Therefore, I think Alistair was too self-involved to be concerned with Chad and his "play-thing".

Because this is Passions, and for all we know Alistair could have brainwashed him into doing this!

Think about it: If Jared really is Alistar (as several fans think), and he used that space age disguise mechanism that made him thinner and into Charlie, and if he had an affair with Chad, then it will have been the SECOND "gay" relationship he has shared with two characters. Strangely, he kissed his own daughter a lot (when he would kiss Beth as Charlie)...but this time, oh wait, he'd be kissing his grandson...and screwing his grandson@@ @@@@@!!!!!!!

This may come as a HUGE shock to you, but Black and Hispanic viewers of PASSIONS almost outnumber WHITES!!!

NBC is already getting letters from Black CHURCH PEOPLE warning them not to involve any "black man" in a Brokeback Mountain type of story on any soap opera---they're hearing about the "rumors" from the Internet (YES, Black CHRISTIANS actually read the internet just like the rest of us). There are also rumors in black magazines about Charles Divins. Tons of teenaged girls were ALREADY UPSET by rumors that he might be gay.

It better not be Valerie. After the fake Valerie reveal, the ambiguous dialogue and the awkward camera angles, I'm pretty sure a Valerie "reveal" would go down as the BIGGEST cop-out in soap opera history. It would be such an obvious rewrite that fans would feel the urge to storm NBC studios and call in radio shows to protest. THAT'S how outrageous it would be. The dialogue, the camera angle choices, the story itself is a giveaway that it's a man. NO WAY would the reveal for Chad having an affair with a woman take this long. NO WAY would we not see long hair or fingernails or SOMETHING to whet the appetite, if it were a woman. NO WAY would we get this dialogue about how Chad needs more than Whitney can give her...

JSF.... I just can't put my trust into this show that it will actually follow through on something that fans want. I have hoped and hoped in the past, and just been screwed over too many times. My heart is not in this show anymore.

You and downwhtone are probably right, JER probably wrote it that way, and I think it was/is a guy, but might be re written, and probably will be.

Let's hope that is not the case. I so almost gave up on Passions when they made Alistair the Monk after the extremely disappointing reveal that PassionsRed was Rachel. If it is Valerie, yeah I'll be done.

I can't believe the actress that played Rachel (ugh can't remember her name!) came back to daytime for THAT?!? Too bad she was too stuck up and didn't accept the Gloria Abbott role on Y&R.
