Pretty good today. I missed the first half unfortunately.

Willow vs. Belle is great. I love new fiesty Belle. KICK HER ASS, BELLE!

Brandon Beemer - OBSESSED! I love him. I love his acting. I love his interpretation of Shawn. I love his look, his voice, his style, his mannerisms. Ugh. Everything. Just obsessed. Great Shawn/Bo scenes.

Melvin was great today, although she looked like she was dying. I don't know if that was explained in the first half an hour or not.

I am always up for Hope and Billie scenes. Hope was a biatch, as usual.

All around a so so episode. Not bad.

Today was better then yesterday.

I enjoyed Billie and Hope. It's about time Hope remembered that Billie was her friend when she returned to Salem. Hogan seems determined to integrate Billie with everyone and to get everyone to look past her past. I love that and Pinson was good today. Also enjoyed her scenes with Chelsea. They are lookinguch more like mother/daughter lately. I liked Hope today too other then in the beginning when she was on Patrick's side again. After that it was like the "old" Hope somewhat and I loved her reaching out to Billie. I hope that others will do the same on tomarrow's show and I think they will based on Hogan looking like he is trying to redeem Billie in the eyes of the Brady's and Horton's. Liked Chelsea being there for her father too. Nice scenes there.

The Bo/Shawn scenes were good. I am enjoyed Beemer and I liked him finally going in the direction of being a supportive father. It's time that he does that after the last few weeks of acting out. Belle vs Willow was great and I am loving Belle like this!! Martha has to be happy with this instead of crying all the time  .

Nice to see Bonnie and I guess people were wrong about Hogan not using the vets because we are surely seeing them and Caroline is being used like she was under JER. Her talk with Mimi was nice and I am tolerating Mimi and FF much more in her supporting role. Their conversation was a classic Days, warm and fuzzy conversation.

Much better today-look forward to tomarrow.

I am glad that Billie let Chelsea know that she need to stop trying to plot and scheme all the time to get her way; too bad she couldn't have put a muzzle on that mouth of hers...They do look more and more like mother and daughter, which I really like.

I also noticed the whole history being displayed when Mimi talked to Caroline when they talked about keeping secrets. It took me back to when Bo learned that Shawn was not his father, but Victor...and history always seems to repeat itself over and over again.

After seeing the promos for tomorrow's show, I will be 100% glad when Patrick is history. Once he's out of Hope's hair and she learns the truth about him, I will be glad.

Belle vs. Willow - hate both of them, so what a waste of time. Both are wretched bitches.

I did love Bo and Shawn. I liked Bo reminding Shawn, when he had his self-righteous posturing about Mimi, that he did the same thing with Belle. When the going gets tough, Shawn cuts and runs. Happy someone pointed that out to him.

I never knew Belle could be this much of a b-i-t-c-h and I loved it. I liked Mimi and Caroline's talk. It was good to see that she didn't brush Mimi off like some of the other Brady's may have. I'm so glad Bo called Shawn on his ways. He always leaves a woman when he feels he can't trust them. Today was the first day in a long time where I could actually tolerate Hope. Loved her scenes with Billie. Finally somene sees that Steve may need her even if no one else wants her there. I also liked how Bo called Billie to tell her the medicine had came in for S/K instead of Hope.

It will be good to see Shawn grow up and I hope he remembers how much he loved Mimi and forgives her and they can reunite after he has to beg her to return to him. What Mimi did was dreadful, but not unforgivable. Belle was married to Philip after all. I'm hoping all four stay married the way they are.

Hope reachiing out to Billie to be there for Steve was shocking. Whatever is she thinking? That Steve may not remember anyone but Billie if and when he revives???? What is Kayla revives and Billie is the first person she sees??? They don't know what we know (heehee or do they). I'm thinking more and more this is plot driven rather than character driven. But, it is nice to think that Billie may be accepted and part of that generation. She just needs a man not already taken or no man at all.

Chelsea looks like she has lost ten more pounds. Obviously she doesn't see what others see or she'd try to gain ten pounds on top of the ten she lost. She is showing a softer side. Finally, the truth of wanting her daddy and mother together....she thinks her daddy will forget her (due to Hope I'm sure).

I just wonder why we haven't heard any more about the investigation into the cause of the release of the biotoxin. So far it's as though all they think about is how Steve and Kayla were affected instead of trying to find the cause and if it was targeted just for them or a general hospital attack. I think the writers are wearing blinders.

Belle is going around behaving like a spoiled, rich girl used to having her way. Gads, I'm glad Willow is standing up to her. I don't care for women who have it all and have no grace with it. Totally ruins the whole character.

Loved Caroline and Mimi today and Bonnie just has to go...go...go....go.

Jean there has been mention of how Steve and Kayla were attacked. Tek,Abe, Bo, John, and Roman know it is relation to the gloved hand so they are working on that. They were on the scene Thursday and we have seen them investigating so I don't see why you would say the writers are wearing blinders.

As for Billie, it was not about Steve seeing her when she wakes up. It was about Billie being a friend to Steve and no longer worrying about the feelings of others. I think Hope realized that Billie should not have to feel the need not to go someplace based on making her and others feel uncomfortable. Billie has been a friend to Steve and Hope knows that. She isn't pushing them together as a couple but knows if Steve wakes up he will have a hard time talking to anyone else as they all knew Steve in the past. Billie didn't and that is why Steve gravitated toward her in the first place as she had no preconcieved notion of her.

As for Belle, the backbone is needed and while she is a spoiled brat at times, Willow deserves it. She is doing nothing but making Shawn's problems worse and is clearly a bad influence.

As for Shawn and Mimi, eh...no. Mimi is more tolerable in her current role and I am enjoying Shawn more now. I don't think those two couples will ever be the way they were. That ship has sailed IMO.

I am loving DAYS. It's good, but there's still no UMPH going on. Hoagie is building his stories, and I understand that, but it needs something if they want that ratings boost we're all disappointed week after week for not getting. I am not suggesting a gimmick or a stunt or whatnot, but something big. Sami being exposed and A/C wedding were two oportunities for a big event to happen, but he didn't capitalize much on either, if at all.

Well, Days has gotten big numbers for reveals like Carrie/Sami in the past but it didn't get it this time because no one really cared for that story. I mean he couldn't really do much with that since by the time he took over people just wanted to move past it, especially Hogan since it's not his story. It did pull in well for Hogan's first week. ABC will have their sweep gimmicks so if Days can hold on through that the rest of the year will be their's for the taking IMO. I think it will do well in November based on previews. Hogan is still trying to get JER's stuff off and I think November will be the first full month of his material and his stories. If he is smart, he will do some sort of HUGE event or something during the holidays to skyrocket the show since big things during the holidays can really pay off in numbers usually. Last year there weren't many big events during the holidays and numbers were lower then usual. I am enjoying the show too and I think ratings will eventually reflect the improvements but some sort of event is needed to bring people in to stay around.

Right now, I'm not even interested in ratings. I know they are a major thing with NBC, but I'm enjoying the honest to God good storytelling from Hogan. We don't need some stupid gimmick. That's what JER was known for. The ratings would go up for 2 or 3 weeks and then they would be right back down where they started.

I enjoyed today's show. I'm really liking the shows with a smaller cast on them. There's more focus to the stories.

Belle vs. Willow was classic. I loved the look on Belle's face when she found Shawn's boxers on Willow's bed and then Shawn came out of the bathroom in just a towel. Who in the hell does Belle think she is? She seriously took over Hope's job in today's show. If I were Shawn, I would've told her to shut the hell up and mind her own business. I do, however, like that Shawn may be growing up in the next couple weeks. Ever since Brandon Beemer came onto the show, Shawn's maturity has gone down quite a bit. It's nothing against Beemer. He plays it well, but it's time for Shawn to grow up a bit.

I loved how Willow stood her grounds with Belle. She called her on everything about being a little miss perfect and having to have everyone else around her perfect. Newsflash, Belle, life isn't perfect!

The Billie/Chelsea scenes made the show. Julie Pinson rocked the house today. Those sudden outbursts she had with Chelsea seriously brought me back to when I would fight with my mother. Chelsea pushed and pushed until Billie just couldn't take it anymore and flipped. Very believable. "I want a family..." Chelsea just doesn't quit. B!tch, you are in your 20s, start your own damn family if you want one so bad.

Hope and Billie was a nice resolution. I hope that's not the only scene we get with those two and then we're expected to see them as friends. Hope and Billie will NEVER be friends, but it's nice to see Hope being civil and not a total b!tch for once.

Why was Mimi on today's show again? Aside from her scenes with Caroline, I didn't see the need.

Exactly! I want something like Greta's Coronation, the Salem Bombings, when half of Salem was on an airplane and about to crash years back, just a huge event. I don't care if people call it stunts or gimmicks, but when a show is on year around sometimes HUGE events are needed and DAYS needs one NOW! DAYS is very good right now, but its kinda ho hum and boring as all get out as well.

Even though I don't care anything about Brandon Beemer as Shawn, it would be nice if he would grow the heck up and bury the hatchet with her. Yes, he did love Mimi at one time, but now I don't want him anywhere near her. Mimi needs to move on with her life.

I was absolutely rooting for Willow when she was reaming Belle a new one. she definitely has Belle's number and calls her on her crap. That's the kind of character I like.

Loved Caroline and Mimi today and Bonnie just has to go...go...go....go.

I always enjoyed Mimi and Caroline scenes. Caroline never judged Mimi and always treated her well.

I agree. It just seems like the show is humming along with really nothing exciting about it.

I want to like the entire show, not just bits and pieces.

I loved Belle's backbone yet again. I think she was right though. Willow struts in and acts like she's been around forever and actually has a right. Belle IS the mother of Shawn's child and Shawn needs to grown up and take responsibility.

  • Member

Right, Pest. Belle is the mother of CLAIRE. She is not Shawn's mother. And what Shawn does with his life is his business, as long as he is there for Claire. Belle doesn't want Shawn to take care of Claire. She wants him to take care of HER and Claire. To her, they come as a package deal and I hope Shawn doesn't fall for it.

  • Member

Amen to that. Belle was ludicrous today. She was screaming (same as) you are mine because you are Claire's father. Really stupid. It wasn't backbone, it was possessiveness of what she doesn't and won't ever possess. She had the right to ask Shawn to tune up his act if he wanted to see his daughter, but bursting in and demanding like that was really pitiful.
