I am on campus right now and might do a full out run back to my dorm to watch today's show. I didnt catch yesterdays, so I have to make up for it and watch todays. I am still pissed I missed some great sounding J&M in yesterday's show.

Each show seems like it is adding some comedy, I cant wait to watch the Chelsea/Steve scenes. Melvin and especially Nichols rock.

For some reason their scenes are even funnier to me knowing some of the offstage stuff like Stephen stealing Rachel's iPod then making fun of her for having Paris Hilton on it *g*

Great day on Days for Steve/Kayla fans.

I loved Steve's way of dealing with Chelsea. Rachel Melvin is so good at making the viewer despise her, yet sometimes like today, we see that she is almost acting out in spite of herself. Steve got to her. She may not admit it but he handled her like he had been parenting for a couple of decades instead of a few weeks.

Hogan Sheffer is using the history of the show so well. The John/Marlena stuff hit just the right note. I must so conditioned to JER's writing that I keep expecting Marlena to be sidetracked by some other situation and forget all about John, but NO! She is focused on what is most important to her-her man. I'll always love J/M!

It will be so thrilling to see Steve get his memory back and in turn the light come back to Kayla's eyes! She is one devoted woman. This gassing will turn out to be a blessing in disguise for them. Regarding Stephanie, I have suspected she is working w/EJ since the beginning. The only question I have is, if she is, is EJ as bad as he wants everyone to think? And ditto on the hyperventilations----STOP!!! And CO2 is the answer to hyperventilation, not oxygen.

What can I say, I loved 95% of the show today.

Carrie and Austin, well I did like Carrie's blue dress!

Loved Chelsea and Steve's bantering. Cap'n Jack, no Cap'n Steve and Cap'n Chesea. LOL at those two. I also think that with Rachel having bangs she really resembled Julie today.

Steph, stop the hyperventilating. Put that girl on something more permenant.

Excited about Steve and Kayla, but some things were so silly today. Get away from the vent lady. But, Steve is certainly a strong man isn't he. Not only did he take the door down, but almost got the wall with it. :P

One thing I haven't been liking are the 10-15 second scenes.

I liked it when Milstein was IHW and she had longer scenes.

Also, there's way too many commercial breaks. There needs to be less acts in an episode.

Today was another solid show, although James' very calm reaction to Lexie's news of being fired makes me wonder if he figured something like this would happen. Didn't he already know that Sami blackmailed her? I remember seeing him in the church the day of Sami's failed wedding when Tek revealed the news. Abe is one smooth brotha.

Steve and Kayla getting trapped together was pretty convienent. I wonder if this biotoxin was all Stephanie's idea...

Chelsea is a piece, ain't she? She had no idea that Steve would be able to handle her like that! I think she'll start finding out that not everyone will back down or be manipulated by her. On a shallow note, I love Julie's casual but chic wardrobe. She looked wonderful today. The new hairstyle works for her.

J&M and A&C were cute, but don't you have to wait 72 hours to get married once you get your license?

There are the same number of acts in an episode as there has always been --- 1 prologue, opening, 3 acts, mid-show break, 4 acts, closing. Maybe it seems different because the first 3 acts were shorter and the mid-show break always occured far before the :30 point. Lately, I've noticed that the first 3 acts are significantly longer and the mid-show break is happening at almost the :30 mark and quite often even later, making the last 4 acts seem significantly shorter.

Depends on the laws in the particular state. There are places in Virginia, Oregan and Nevada (and no doubt others I don't know about) where you can get a license and marry the same day.

Another good show...I'm actually not really going to miss Carrie and Austin much...they're cute...but i don't see what else the writers could really do with them now...i do love Christie though...Austin and Carrie were cute today and the end with John and Marlena showing up was nice..

John and Marlena's scenes today were excellent..great dialouge..Its just so nice seeing them happy together...

Chelsea and Steve---great stuff..loved all the pirate references...I enjoy every episode chelsea is on..Because Rachel Melvin just rocks..she's such a gem....My favorite line was when steve left and chelsea said "steve's off to the USS Kayla" (LOL) And i do think that Billie knows deep down that Chelsea is right about Steve and Kayla belonging together..

Great ending with Steve and Kayla and the biotoxin...Can't wait to watch this story unfold..

Well something needs to change. Every episode I keep saying, "commercial already?" or "that was a quick scene...." :(

If I'm counting right, that's 1 teaser and 8 acts?? That's way too much. Having 1 teaser, then 6 acts is enough. Well, that's the way I would write my show. LOL

I've noticed the return of the quick scenes as well. No me gusta.

Is DAYS finally getting rid of those stupid SFX endings? One can only hope its true, although the last few shows have just abrubtly ended looking awkward. I know that is being way too nitpicky though.

Kayla was acting like an idiot! I know I may be in the minority but there still hasnt been much I like about Kayla or MBE. Hopefully when Steve and Kayla get more meaningful dialogue and story I will warm up to Kayla/MBE. I will say I flove Stephen Nichols, that man just has it. Chelsea/Steve scenes were my favorite of the show besides the sweet J&M scenes. All the pirate references were funny and like Kev, my favorite line was Chelsea mouthing back to Billie after Steve left, "Steve's off to the USS Kayla." Just the way Melvin nonchalantly delivered her line while eating a potato chip was great.

John/Marlena: Finally some romantic scenes for them, its nice to see them both so happy together. Although I would liked to have seen a big wedding for them.

I hate the way Carrie is acting, I am glad that b.itch is leaving Salem. She was not 100% innocent, but the way she talks its all Sami or Lexie''s fault. And that so called actor Peck couldnt be gone soon enough, he is just horrid. I will miss Christie though!

I wonder if advertising revenue is up and that is the reason for more commercials. If revenue is up that is good for all of us. Those ads bring us the show we love to see.

Yay, someone else who doesn't care for Kayla! Score! And Rachel Melvin has Chelsea's attitude down to a T. Her opposite Nichols is fantastic.

If this wedding had been after their next storyline, as the ending, I'd agree. But the way they've written it is that they just want it official, they FEEL married. I'd rather they throw an anniversary celebration of love. 20 year since their first wedding. I want them to elope.

It's the same number of commercials there's always been and the same number of acts there's always been. I should know since I'm editing out commercials every day when I store my eps on disc. Days has 1 teaser & 7 acts. I think Y&R is the same. ATWT & GL have 1 teaser & 5 acts. I don't know about PSNS or the ABC soaps.
