Even though EJ is not Benjy, I'm glad he's coming back. I like the idea of a younger generation of DiMeras wreaking havoc, guided by Stefano. And I'm not the least upset if Stefano isn't on full time either.

I kinda figured EJ & Kate would hook up sexually because Sami and Lucas are finding their way back to each other. However, we don't need porn, no matter what JSF says.

Kate and EJ will be hot, hot, hot! I can't wait for this.

I also love how Hogan didn't beat around the bush. He came right out and said that EJ and Kate WILL BE [!@#$%^&*], plain and simple. Something to look forward to! I hate when writers 'tease' a sexcapade, but then never come through with it because they're too chicken or they worry it'll ruin a character. So they tease, tease, tease... then nothing. Good to know that Kate and EJ will definitely be getting it on, all the way.

Reminds me of all those great ATWT interviews Sheffer used to do. I would like to see Jean P. say "[!@#$%^&*]".

I'm glad that James Scott has a HUGE role on Days now (considering that Days is about to beat AMC into the ground, perfect justice) and his character will be a Dimera (my favorite EVIL family next to the Cassadines).

As for Benjy, since he's NATIVE AMERICAN...I hope they find a NATIVE AMERICAN actor to play him and thank god EJ is not Benjy for that reason.

I think Hogan is right about Stefano. I was concerned about his return myself. I don't think Stefano should be there just for the sake of it, and I think after he was on contract for so long in the '90s being misused, less is more. Less is much much more. While I think it's a great character I question how much more he can do or how much farther he can go. I think it's best to build up the descendants now, and leave him mostly in the shadows. It lessens the menace when he's out there in broad daylight every day.

I am confused, though, I remember Benjy being blonde and Caucasian. Or who was that?

Oh, and Hogan cursing like a sailor in intvs is not new. He's been doing it for years.

I like the idea but I also think Stefano should pop in and out like the 90's. He doesn't have to keep dying but I don't want to just see him and then poof. It almost sounds like he returns and dies again and leaves the empire to the young ones. Now that is ok but that is a waste to bring back Joe Mascolo for that. Maybe Stefano returns and then goes into a coma or something?

It does sound good although I am sad it seems Stefano may be just a short term gig. I can't wait to hear the news about the other families!!

he made wonders out of the short term James Stenbeck gigs on ATWT. I'm glad he'll be taking this approach with Stefano if he does come back (the article reads to me that they still havent booked Joe). Hogan packed quite alot into James' visits. And it allowed them to take the gloves off and make him ruthless, because they didnt have to worry about explaining away his crimes so he would remain on screen.

He'll probably just pull a runner after he reaches the end of his story.

I'm definitely pleased by this news. Stefano short term is always better, for the reasons Drew stated. We all miss our ruthless villains!

Yeah Stefano worked well in the 80's and early 90's because he came and went. It wasn't until he stuck around for good that the stories got bad for the character. This gives Hogan more flexibility and it is always better to have it open that the character is in the shadows and can come on at any moment. I would love for him to pop up off and on like the old days and surprise us. It does allow Hogan more room to return Stefano to his ruthless roots and make him the classic Stefano we all love. I actually do like this news along with everything else and I am dying for the rest of the scoop!!

I just worry Joe won't commit to just a short term return -- as Hogan noted. We'll see.

King are you still anti EJ? When are you going to come around and embrace him like the rest of us..I think EJ is the best new character in Daytime right now, and things are only going to get better this fall under Hogan...
