He stood by her when she blackmailed Lexie unlike Lucas would. Didn't judge her or condone her like Lucas does. Perceptions are what YOU want them to be and you want Lumi and I want Ejami. EJ doesn't seem very interested in Sami ROMANTICALLY. It seems more like the writers were trying to establish that EJ is a typical hot-blooded man with needs. Needs that KATE will be attending to.
