Now that Heather Tom (Kelly, ONE LIFE) has confirmed she's leaving ONE LIFE, who would you pick to fill the role of Kelly if the role is re-cast (and I definitely would re-cast).

My picks...

(1) Gina Tognoni (currently GL's Dinah Marler). I would try to get her away from GL, but that probably won't happen since I've read in SOD she's happy on GL.

(2) Christie Clark (who's leaving DAYS as Carrie Brady)

(3) Lisa-Ann Hadley(ex-Julie Madison, PORT CHARLES)

(4) Sarah Aldrich (ex-Courtney Kanelos, GH)

(5) Paige Rowland (ex-Kit Montgomery, AMC)

(6) Noelle Beck (ex-Trisha Alden, LOVING)

(7) Melissa Reeves (soon to be ex-Jennifer Horton, DAYS)

Of these my pick for a Nu Kelly would be Christie Clark. I think she'd be good in the role.

Bring on Noelle! I loved her at Loving and she'd fit in perfectly on OLTL. However, I doubt that they will recast.

I think Noelle would be a good choice too.

Of the ones you picked my choice would be Christie Clark.

I like Noelle Beck and Melissa Reeves but both of them are 8 - 10 years older than Gina Tognoni or Heather Tom who have played Kelly before.

I wouldn't mind either Christie Clark or Arianne Zuker

Erin Hershey would be a good choice. Christie Clarke... I dunno. I am not familiar enough with her work on DAYS to make a good judgement. Gina Tognoni is the real Kelly but I doubt she'll leave GL.

Heather Tom could have become the real Kelly, the writers just never gave her a remote chance

She got the bum rap of being stuck in a horrible storyline as Edmund's first love interest after Maria (written by McTavish as it turns out!)..Then they concocted some sort of convoluted thing where Kit has accused Tad of rape back when he thought he was Ted Orsini..

Anyway, I guess I wasn't the only one who liked her..Soap Opera Weekly named her "Performer of the Week" once while she was on AMC...I wish we'd see her again now that her nephew is back in Pine Valley..but I won't hold my breath!

Wasn't Kit accusing Ryan of rape when it really turned out to be Braden? I don't remember her accusing Tad.

I think Gina would be the best recast, but I don't know why she would leave GL to come to OLTL. i believe within weeks, GL will past OLTL in the ratings. Not to mention, she has a much better part over at GL.

Christy Clarke would be very good.

If they wanted Kelly wouldn't they have made some effort to keep HT? They didn't use her beyond the first year of her contract. They gave her vile material that has left the character very hated by many. In fact one of the few things at all that saved Kelly was the fact that people enjoyed HT's portryal of her.

Kelly will not be recast. The character will be off the canvas for a while. That's what I was told.

I don't think they will recast Kelly either. I just don't think the current regime care about the past characters at all. They are just too caught up on their creations and esp. anyone that came from New Jersey. Maybe OLTL should do a spin-off of the New Jersey characters (Dena's characters) and then give us our old Llanview characters back.

I don't think they will recast while Dena is at the helm, and even then not for a good year or two. I think Dena overstepped herself with her not shrinking back from the unpalatablewith in this story, and that is why they are 'letting' Heather Tom walk, and firing DG: to let this story die (as others should have as well, like the boxing, the kiddie porn......).

Yeah, Kit thought Ryan had raped her but it turned out to be Braden.

BUT it turned out that she and Tad had known each other in California and she had accused of him of rape to get back at him for something.

I would love it if they recast her with Gina, she was GREAT in the role! If not, then Sarah Brown/Buxton would be good.
