Y&R Discussion for the Week of August 28

And I don't buy that it was just supposed to be Jack's conscience, because the arguments he was making were those of a ghost who was explaining what he felt, not that of just Jack's conscience, the argument would have been different if it had.

The more I thought about it, the more I think it's his conscience. I really feel Jack didn't give a damn as long as he got his way and "erased" Gloria from the Abbott family...until Ashley started giving him disapproving looks and constantly questioning him about his confidence that things would go his way in court and at Jabot. I believe he could have those "conversations" because he knew how his father felt about Gloria and he knew what John had decreed to Gloria in his real will. So I didn't see it as a ghost explaining his feelings because Jack knew what the feelings were BEFORE John died.

Now a ghost John would know everything Gloria did and I would think he'd visit HER. He wouldn't even waste time with Jack for the initial visit.

I think Sharon Case has been great this week, showing Sharon with PSTD.

Noah is a brat. :angry::angry:

And, GO JACK GO!! :D:D

Jack doesn't need to feel guilty. Not one iota. If John had never met GloHo, I'm pretty sure he'd still be alive. At the very least, he wouldn't have spent his last months IN JAIL.

It STILL kills me that John died without knowing what a piece of lying GARBAGE he was married to. :angry::angry:

I don't see Phyllis with Nick and I sure don't see Jack sticking with Sharon for too long. Besides, Jack wouldn't have much to gain if his relationship progressed with the little trollop. She's not a true blooded Newman like Victoria is, so pulling a Brad Carlton and marrying Sharon would serve no purpose. Eventually Jack and Phyllis will be back together; I hope so too, because Pod Phyllis and her sugary sweet attitude is killing the heck out of me.

I want Jack to move on...I want Jack with Dru!

I akm so giddy about Jack and Sharon. Both actors have chemistry and it is just something completely new and refreshing. In a good way. I think Sharon and Nick are both idiotic sluts but I hold Sharon a bit high then Nick. I loved when she was slamming on him when she found out about the "marriage" :lol:

Making Jack feel guilty pfftt. I agree. He does not need to feel guilty and if John supposedly knows "everything" how can he not know what that witch did to Jabot? God the writing is so pro-Gloria it makes me sick.

Ghost John is just as crazy as when he was calling her Dina in prison. He knew the grifter for about a year and he already cherished her? Whatever.

Does anyone know what was written in SOD's column Editor's Choice that featured Y&R?

Titled "Truth And Consequences," basically it praised Lily and Daniel's break-up after Daniel told Lily the truth about the Alex set-up and as a result, this is one step into adulthood for the pair.

Interestingly, they didn't praise the actors/acting like they usually do, but just the story.
