  1. @Vee A lot of what you’re saying is very much true. What I would like to add to this is that “Hanan carruthers” wasn’t completely powerless! He respected her, and allowed her to a have some say/mandates of her own I.e( Bringing on Toasty, and making him be co-lead with Cameron). She was gleefully sitting at the 35th anniversary special announcing a fan favorite death(Edmund). Knowing all along Toasty was his replacement! So in my eyes she’s just at fault for that and many other things! Pratt came onto the scene trying to shake up the canvas, Brian left him alone in the beginning, but guess who stopped him the “EP”! You can thank him for JR and Annie by the way….
  2. Imma still stand by him loving the soaps; I can’t fault him for having his own idea of the them. I believe all do as fans, AMC would have been totally different show if I was writing it and that doesn’t mean the general audience would love my ideas. @Taoboi agreed! The way he went about it wasn't cool at all! And the EP was a majo Problem at AMC. Rebecca and Cameron and Thorstan were her pets not frons.
  3. Idk, it’s a lot things that’s just not privy to us. I agree somebody higher up played some part in this. Frons actually did love soaps, and did try to save the shows many times. At times both shows been the redhead stepchild imo. The soap press to me never gave AMC it’s due respect; it was if they resented them for whatever reason. At award shows the best things about the show was never acknowledged or nominated! They were the consistent #2 performer for many many years regardless if they were better than the #1 show. OLTL owe Jamey/and the Daytime crew at his podcast for going up in ratings. AMC went up in the ratings in times when they were the most hated soap, and got no positive press. I’m sure the show could have climbed back up if they had people praising them every other week on other podcast and radio shows!
  4. Smh It’s all so sad to me. You explained it the same way Vincent irizarry does lol. Her return had me fanfic writing about the show again.
  5. Oh wow! Thank you! So both of them were blindsided as well. I just remember Cady saying in a interview she had was negotiating her return months before the cancellation. I just thought of a new unpopular opinion lol. ABC Daytime AMC was the real red headed step child.
  6. She really did have a vision. I was eating every last episode up. The classic A-B-C storytelling. She’s just brilliant, and needed to be writing the show it’s entire last decade. I know they were working out Cady’s contract before it was canned but was Lorraine back? Regardless, the JR/Bianca feud was so fresh and fascinating to watch!
  7. You better sing B Rocka!
  8. @Liberty City This is very accurate. AMC was killing it. It was very healthy canvas before leaving us! I was intrigued by so much that was going on; Amanda had this interesting HPV storyline too.
  9. Will Smith deserves his Oscar nomination for this and probably the win.
  10. I really hate how the Unabortion has overshadowed Josh time on the canvas. Despite people hating the storyline, the character had so much story potential! He was sexy, decent charisma, nice chemistry with most of the cast and an okay actor. Such a shame we couldn’t see the Jr/Babe/Josh triangle become a real staple on the show. He was handling everything they threw his way; I also loved his exit storyline as the black sheep of the family battling with Zach, another wasted storyline imo. Me too! I have always loved this idea. I remember daytime confidential laughing at this idea too! Loved that small moment in the shows history. Everytime I look at that Erica Greg and Jenny magazine cover ideas flood my brain. Erica was still a mentor in the last decade kinda with Amanda and Carmen sugar morales.
  11. !!!!! !!! Yes, they stayed in the top 5 every week. AMC was almost always #1/2.
  12. You never answered my love lbvs.
  13. Omg, not Iva. RIP sweetheart!
  14. @victoria foxton 💀 Yea they didn’t give a [!@#$%^&*] about that casting of Jamie.
  15. And I stand with her Periodt. I have to agree with Agnes a bit about their scenes, I mean they’re both right it should have been a balance of both slower character scenes and a action packed scene. But as for the characters chasing dreams I’m team Agnes, AMC was that place for that. Almost all the women were on the make so it’s within theme. I disagree with Meghan about the young adults being interested in film and tv. and IMHO Bill Bell was just as obsessed with Agnes show, he started giving his black storylines more room to breathe as Jesse and Angie were slowly moving out of Pine Valley! And practically stolen her their storyline Dru/Neil/shemar/Olivia is a fleshed out version of Jesse/Angie/Eugene/Yvonne.
  16. @allmc2008Hey best friend. Can you please shoot me a Dm and all those juicy Meghan info you stumbled upon.
  17. Oh I kinda liked that storyline. Well things were good until 1997 😊.
  18. AMC Ross Chandler Julie Chandler Skye Chandler Eugene Hubbard Yvonne Caldwell Hillary Wilson Trey Kenyon Vanessa Cortlandt Silver Kane Paul Martin vera Longer stays: Greg Nelson Mark Dolton Alfred Vanderpool
  19. I’m rooting for this to great. Nicole deserves her oscar for all the work she has done the last 5 years.
