@Soaplovers Yes, I noticed the Alice/Steve/Rachel coloring. I believe some other posters mentioned it too. I also thought the anniversary party was like a modern take on Rachel crashing Steve and Alice's engagement party.

@alwaysAMC My maternal grandfather and my paternal grandmother were fans of the show. I became very aware of the show from being around them, but I do not think I watched until maybe '95. My grandfather had decided to give up on the show, but I thought it was the best show I've ever seen lol. What hooked me was Dimitri and Erica. Liza. Michael Delaney and the different family units.

I agree. It was a pretty good soap. Like you, I hope we don't have to wait too long, cause now I am hooked.

I thought Alan put together a nice interview. I was very engaged with the conversation. Brandon, let us know how he almost joined Y&R. Brandon got to show a bit more personality to me. I loved it.

My earliest soap memory would have to be the season 13th finale of Knots Landing. My mom was a loyal watcher of it, so I have many memories of her watching it while I played and tore up her house lol. That cliffhanger of Meg disappearing from the school playground always stood in the back of my mind. Once I got to watch Knots for myself, I instantly recognized the scene.

RHOM Episode 2 was fun and flashy. Count me as someone who liked Larsa and Marcus' May/December romance. I hate that we're not seeing them together anymore and already enjoying the Larsa/Lisa feud. Now Alexia is my girl, but did she not invite Guerdy and Adriana to Johnny's party, not to upstage him, only for you to do it? LOL. Kiki is a hoot! I still wish she were a main cast member cause we never get her full POV. ATL I can't speak on Brit's lawsuit. What I would like to say is that I gave Brittany a fair chance, and I personally like her. I wish her circumstances were different bc I believe with the right producers, she could be a nice addition to the cast moving forward. She didn't have the best season, but I saw some value in her.

@alwaysAMC I love your story. I wonder what it was, though, other than word-of-mouth about Janet's storyline. There must've been something else to draw new viewers to the show at that time. Were they airing promos during cartoons? lol Dan Kroll started watching during this time too!

I met someone irl who watched the show in the early 90s. Started watching with Kelly Ripa's first episode. I hear that so often from fans who began at that time. I would like to know from those who were heavy viewers during that time on what drew them to the show. Did ABC have a huge press release about their next big storyline, a big promotional push? I find that bit of information pretty interesting.

I listened to a few audio dramas, and I can't say it has always been a great experience. This one is off to an awesome start... I love hearing Vincent Irizarry's voice again. Very intrigued by Bradley and Helena's history. Sounds soapy! Diego sounds a little whiny to me. I enjoyed the conversation between JJ and BG(Bethany Gina) in episode 8. I agree, I wish he switched it up a bit. @DRW50 Thanks for posting the Alan interview. CLIFFHANGER!

I agree. But you can do that without family. Shanice is there now; those two can build a sisterly bond.

@Rmodelboy You might be spot on! While I enjoy the show, I am having trouble with some of the story directions. For a new show, we have way too many storylines dealing with the past IMO. And I do not think Hayley needs family right now. How does that help her?

Dani/Andre are the big romance right now. My question is, after Nicole comes to accept them(which she will), and Bill moves past it. What will be their obstacles after that to sustain them as a couple, and not move into boredom? Nicole will have a breakdown of sorts once she learn's about Martin's secret and all the people that kept it from her. My heart goes out to my fave.🥰 Yes! They have been a major highlight for me. The only character I wanna see get relatives outside of Duprees is Smitty. I do not want that tbh. Which means we might get it cause I never get what I want with these shows.

All the ladies' fashion looks amazing today. I love Dani's blazer and earrings, Madison's dress, the color on Chelsea, Naomi's look, and Nicole's top; all are nice pieces. I think Chelsea is moving too fast with this girl. Something is off. Explains the daydream scene lol.

Same. Great change of pace for the character of Doug. He and Vanessa operated more as a team, and I greatly appreciated it.

Those flashbacks today made me think about how dramatic things could have been if Martin's secret involved having an affair with Marcal two years ago, lol. I enjoyed Agent Bradley on the case. Crisp, clean, smart & stealthy. I need more Vanessa and Doug toxic relationship. I know MVJ could fill us in on all their messy history later! Oh wow, that would have been interesting.

I don't have an issue with her being outspoken. I encourage it to be honest. But at the same time, be careful what you say, though, cause you can burn bridges with the audience, and it's too early for that. As a viewer, I want to see her win, and I chose to keep my concerns and issues with the show off social media until recently. I have spoken about my dislike of the treatment of Nicole on social media, and I hope they will fix it. I am sure there is a plan, but I am not accepting Nicole just being a bystander in her own story and given one moment in the final hour.
