Did you happen to read the We Love Soaps long interview with Pete Lemay? He talks about being in the room when Jill convinced those 3 actors that they wanted to do that story. Seemed that he thought she was pretty amazing in her ability to talk actors into stuff. He didn't know Jill ever killed anyone until later in the interview & he quite changed his tune. I think soap actors play the same old same old so much for years that when anyone comes along with Vive la difference, they are vulnerable to the charms of having something unusual to do.

I believe a lot of reasons but the most recent was that he lied & made up a fabulous job when what he was really doing was kidnapping.

I think it was Roman who said, "All of Victor's relationships are complicated." But anyone could've been given the line.

Why did Paulina know? Josh's Roman is so laid back!! Well, except on the unusual occasions when he is unreasonably cranky, like about Sloan not liking chowder! GMAB. Not everyone likes chowder. But Roman seems to be either too nonchalant or too angry, nothing in between.

So, today is the beginning of Season 59, first episode of, and that means that a year from today we will enter Season 60, big anniversary time. 8-28-24! I find that exciting! I found today to be a surprisingly good episode. Lots of people talking to each other. People I want to see. Not a bunch of people I do not want to see. This weekend some fans began talking about when AW and Y&R were on in their part of the woods. So I asked everyone & jotted the odd ones down. Most people were as expected. This was the first I'd heard of any US outlet showing AW in the morning. Now I thought this would be you posting the promo & predicting Vivian's successful return! With Bo on DAYS when they switched from Peter Reckell to Robert Kelker-Kelly they'd been clever about the recast. They gave RKK a makeover to make him look more like PR than just good looking, right height, brunette with good hair & facial hair or not, whichever it was at the time. Then they did the switch in the middle of a costume masked ball. And Robert's a capable actor so he fit & was called a success. There had been some doubt that anyone could "replace" Peter! But, then, when Peter returned you'd have thought he was a demi-god! His welcome was that warm.

I was just talking to someone who works in the business & they were saying that everyone who works in the business, be it props, hair, makeup, wardrobe, sets, engineers, other tech, etc, everyone is 100% behind the strikers! And then they pointed out that most of those people are being hurt economically because of the strike but that the strikers are right about pay & residuals, etc. & the producers are just wholly in the wrong. And "everyone knows it."

You've summed Calliope up so well! Thank you. I had forgotten that she was in on the Norm de Plume stuff. I was surprised when I read that a writer created her with Cyndi Lauper in mind because she was so very much more than just that "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" eccentricity!
