HBO's Looking
I thought it was perfect. Patrick coming back for the wedding was a great set up for the movie. His hook up with the 22 y.o. spoke volumes about Patrick being at a more comfortable, free and not self-loathing place any more. He fixed himself, so now he could make a relationship work. As soon as Kevin started telling Patrick he f ucked them up, should see a therapist, etc, I knew it was over. I thought they wrote that and wrapped it up wonderfully. Glad to see Dom getting his success and finally letting go a little and having fun with that handsome Jack. Doris telling Patrick and Dom that she and Malik are thinking of having a baby made me cry. Doris was so, so good. Agustin wasn't horribly annoying! They totally fixed him for this movie and his confiding his fears to Patrick about the future was another highlight. And I'm glad they addressed Dom/Patrick, especially the "good on paper" angle. Yas. And they still gave us a kiss, just for posterity lmao. I see the arc of Patrick's growing up, change and becoming a better person, and think his ending up with Richie (even if it doesn't work down the line) made absolute sense and was very touching. At the end of the day, they were hopelessly in love with each other, even if didn't realistically make sense. I love the idea of at least giving it a try. I cried during that beautifully shot scene where Richie comes back to the club. Richie's nod later at the diner was fantastic as well, and what a great ending shot for the movie. That being said, 2/3 into the movie I realized that, had things ended with Patrick being alone, I would also have been happy with that. He didn't get a happy ending, after all (that was, surprisingly, reserved for Agustin, of all people!), just a possibility for a happy future. That could make happy both those who wanted them together and those who didn't, because they can just assume things went horribly bad one month later LOL Overall, very, very, very happy and what a great relief they got a proper wrap-up!

Riverdale: Discussion Thread
5 things to know about the RIVERDALE pilot. The show will premiere in 2017 and they are definitely calling it Archie meets Twin Peaks. I don't know much about the comics, especially the recent ones, so I won't comment a lot about them making Archie so hot (it feels a little sad that he had to be turned into your --almost-- typical young adult lead, when I've always felt Archie was something different than that) but K.J. Apa is so freakin hot and he looks like a human version of Archie, so we'll see.

Season 8 will be the show's last. Certainly doesn't come as much of a surprise. I hope they do get Elena back for a final arc.

MacGyver: Discussion Thread
A mess! They're basically begging Richard Dean Anderson to come back (why the f uck this wasn't done from the very beginning, I do not know) by making it public that they'd like to have him on the show and are trying to get him to do it. Meanwhile, there's still this: Oh, but I see this is scheduled for Fridays. Nevermind, they seem to not have much faith in it anyway.

Star Trek returns with streaming series
NETFLIX will broadcast each episode of the new series 24 hours after its US release, but this excludes US & Canada, where CBS All Access will remain the only option. It sounds as if episodes will be out weekly, so I'll wait until the season's finished, subscribe to CBSAC and bang them all out quickly before unsubscribing lol

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That's so true. She meant she has a woman in Ireland doing her SEO who lost her home or something but the way she said it and the fact that it had nothing to do with anything.... You can't hate her, because I think she (mostly) means well, but her grip of reality is almost non-existent!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Finally catching up with the NYC Season 6 reunion and Sonja said that, earning her (so far) the prize for most jaw-dropping line LOL Followed by LuAnn's wonderfully bitchy "Karma's a bitch" in response to Mario cheating on Ramona after Ramona made fun of LuAnn being cheated on years ago.
