  1. It appears that John Aylward, best known as Dr. Anspaugh on ER, has apparently passed away. I say apparently because I guess there are unconfirmed reports. If true, may Mr. Aylward RIP. Dr. Anspaugh was a great character.
  2. Just like the original shows, I find the only cast I would hang around with and like spending time with is the original NYC cast (sans Becky, who seemed to regress instead of act like a rational adult). Everything after with the subsequent casts has been a predictable train wreck. Again.
  3. Oooh, another clip! Awesome! Thanks, again!
  4. If you want to see more different acting from Deidre Hall, in the Primetime forum, there is a clip I found on YouTube of Dee appearing on the '80s show, Wiseguy. She is lucky enough to be acting opposite the great Tim Curry! Glenn Frey and Deborah Harry also appear in the episode (and not as themselves!).
  5. I think casting - as @carolineg points out - makes a difference for any role. Would Drake have worked as Edmund Grey? Maybe. He had the charisma and charm. But he may not have been a journalist had Drake played him. To use an old prime time example, apparently, the character of Sam Malone on Cheers had apparently been envisioned not as an ex-baseball player, but an ex-football player! And one of the actors in contention for the role was real-life former L.A. Rams player turned actor Fred Dryer (who would recur as sportscaster Dave Richards on the show and also got his own big break with Hunter, obviously!) I think I even read that William Devane (ex-Greg Sumner, Knots Landing) had also read for Sam. However, once Ted Danson got the role, it was changed so that Sam was a former member of the Boston Red Sox baseball team, and the rest is history. (On a side note, another actress up for Diane Chambers was Julia Duffy. She, of course, landed on Newhart as Stephanie. I think she even appeared in a Cheers episode as a friend of Diane's, but I can't be sure.) So I think any role can be played by almost any actor if the details are tweaked just so...
  6. Just saw him on the Law & Order Mothership revival as a judge in one episode. (In another, Alicia Coppola played a defense attorney, although she was on Criminal Intent well before that role.)
  7. Much different show, but the "junior or everything after" deal with a not first-born son also happened on ER with Carter's family. His grandfather was John Carter, Sr., his father Jack was John Carter II (played by Michael Gross, who did resemble TV son Noah Wyle, so great casting there!), and Carter was John Carter III. BUT Carter mentioned deciding to become a doctor because his OLDER brother, Bobby, died of leukemia as a child (causing his parents' divorce). Like you, I'd think Bobby should have been John Carter III, instead. Shrug. To connect this to Santa Barbara, Scott Jaeck, who played Cain, played Dr. Flint, head of radiology, in a recurring role in the first couple seasons.
  8. Yep. Can't believe this schitt got a renewal. Will Steve be wiping Che's ass next while Miranda beams? (I hope David Eigenberg just focuses on Chicago Fire and doesn't return for more garbage.)
  9. At 1:06:19 (which I think I set the start at correctly, I hope!), Hollywood Graveyard features the final resting place of Michael David Morrison, the original Caleb Snyder, if anyone wants to see it. He is buried in Louisiana.
  10. YAY, GILEAD! But her e-mails!!!! To all those non-voters and those that voted for Jill Stein, or those that "held their nose" and voted for Dump because Hillary wasn't "likable", how do you like the results?! ETA: I read barricades are going up around the Supreme Court.
  11. GROSS.
  12. I think the last time that was tried was with the Hernandez crew. The only success there seems to be Gabi. (Rafe seems to exist to this day because TPTB like Galen Gering or something!)
  13. So Maddie may be gay after all. Yawn. Who didn't guess by now?
  14. Well, why not do that NOW then? I mean, there must be tons of aspiring actresses in California looking for their big break. This random killing of "big" characters is NEVER thought out. See the return of Bo as further proof. There is no reason to do this except Ron wants to use shock and awe. And NBC should also know better by now. The last graphic death with Frankie Frame on AW helped to put another nail in the coffin of that soap. Or maybe that's the whole point...
  15. Yes. He seems to try way too hard. But then we have Lindsey Graham, so in all seriousness, even if he was, that wouldn't/shouldn't be an issue. But then, both are in a party that wants to send the gay community back to the 1950s, so I can only assume they hate themselves. (Well, Lindsey. Not sure if Cawthorn really is gay or bi. But it wouldn't surprise me.)
  16. It's red North Carolina. I rule NOTHING out. See 2016 and Trump. People just don't care anymore.
  17. Wow. And for their age, the quality is very good! Thanks so much again!
  18. So I see on Twitter that ol' Elon is already harassing employees and accusing the lawyer for the company of being involved with fraud or something. So the sewage is already beginning. The Twitter God must have heard my rant about the data because I got the download notice a minute ago. Downloading it as I type. Once it's done, so am I with Twitter, which both makes me relieved and yet sad that it has come to this. But when it heads into the toxic abyss and hopefully suffers the same fate as MySpace, at least I know I won't be there to be a part of it all.
  19. How long does it take for the freaking Twitter data to be ready for download? I put in for the request days ago. I REALLY just want the data so I can deactivate for good. Because I just know Twitter will be a cesspool come fall.
  20. Even looking at those special effects is scary. Can't imagine having to act it out.
  21. Thanks! Just put in for the request but may have to wait 24 hours to download. But once I do, I'm gone.
  22. All I did was click deactivate. Apparently, there is a 30-day window to change one's mind...
  23. And with this news, I have officially deactivated my account. Have no desire to see Dump or any right-wing POS spouting their BS.
