Y&R to air classic episodes
Completely agreed Not to mention Bell loved writing his femme fatales. A few years later Mari Jo would be on the scene filling that role as well. Always interesting to know that Amy came back briefly in early 1990. I wonder if it was to simply close out her era or if they even attempted to offer Williams a permanent gig since Dru shows up next month.

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
TBH for a really great fashion week they show show the full week of Lake Como from 1997 or the Portofino episodes from 2002. I remember B&B even aired a special BTS episode hosted by McCook about the 1997 for Thanksgiving that year; that whole week in late October brought in big ratings.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Interesting point. I’ve wondered if SSH regretted her 1990-93 tenure at Days from his disparaging remarks about working with Charlotte Ross to Julie playing matchmaking for the Scofield’s, a family who tanked Days ratings while over on Y&R Joanna Manning’s daughter was getting her biggest story ever during these years.

So I’m curious about something on the Horton family tree: “In 1991, Julie mentioned that Steve was still living in Europe and had a son named Spencer from an affair. Not much else is known about Steve's current whereabouts.” Did the show ever have plans to introduce Spencer? Even more of a long lost Horton relative than Scotty Banning lol.

This is beautiful, thank you! I always found it funny Jill pretty much had a lot of disdain for Jack & Patty during that 1981-84 timeframe.

Thank you!! I was looking through your February episodes to see if I could find it as I thinking it was Feb. Did she even make any return visits later on in 92 or 93? Always been curious why most places cite 1993 lol. Agreed! The best thing that the show did as the story reached its denouement was throw Jill into the mix. Walton and Diana Barton’s Mari Jo stole the show from that point on.

Sunset Beach Discussion Thread
Leo Deschanel? I don’t even remember that character at all had to google him up LOL. Off-topic but @DRW50 who on earth was the Living Legend-Not at that point in time? I know the Time one is Y&R.

Y&R to air classic episodes
Interestingly the first go around of John/Jill/Jack occurred in 1981 but I believe Halsey’s John was gone by this point.

Y&R to air classic episodes
Indeed. Y&R would still pull off in 7’s into 1999 actually while all the other soaps slipped into the 4’s and 3’s.

Y&R to air classic episodes
It never did actually. By the time Y&R premiered I think ATWT and EON were the only live soaps on the air.

Reading those recaps reminds me of who strange the whole Barbara Ann Harding story was. Didn’t Paul end up sleeping with her? Hopefully we’ll get to see the very best of Vanessa Prentiss in this episode.

Y&R to air classic episodes
Thanks! I remember that plot point of where Nikki was surprised that Victor didn't stop her from marrying Josh, it was stuck out like a sore thumb lol. It definitely was a lull period for Y&R. That quad took up a lot of airtime, we're lucky that Tom and Cast were superior actresses to carry it though even though it got even worse from her out. I recall the big events during this time were: -Ashley being attacked in the park and saved by the mysterious Kurt Costney who then went to live at Katherine's so the show could use Katherine I guess lol. -Pregnant Sharon falling in a snowstorm, then spending like 2 months in the hospital asking "Is my baby going to make it?" every day she was on. -Danny and Phyllis getting married. -Jill slutting it up with John Silva again and then of course meeting the Dennison's. -Neil becoming a complete misogynist toward's Dru and trying to maker be a housewife and produce more babies while Olivia admired and cheered him on from the sidelines. -Diane returned and fell in love with Jack while Jack indirectly ruined Nick's career prospects in Seattle by acquiring a highly bankrupt company for Newman due to his own oversight, thereby royally pissing Victor off. Did I miss anything else? The moments of when Michael Baldwin was released from jail, Sasha's mysterious death in a fire, Grace sleeping with Nick etc. finally got the show up and running again.

Nikki, at this point was this where she ran off with marry Josh in Las Vegas? Weird to think she had a wedding so soon after her engagement with Brad went up in smoke.
