  1. Even if Stefanos truly believes this, these kinds of Zverev-like comments are not going to endear him to anyone. He’s lost to Damir THREE TIMES on different surfaces (clay/hard) in three years. That’s a decent sample size to show he has issues with Dzumhur’s game.
  2. Apparently Tsitsipas wasn’t at his best, but Dzumhur really gives him a lot of problems. Damir is 3-1 over him in h2h.
  3. Not a good start to this year for Khachanov. He is channeling Jack Sock’s dreadful post-Paris-title performance.
  4. That’s so cool, thanks. I’d love to see his other Best and Worst of the Year columns from that era. I used to wait for them with such anticipation. I didn’t realize he had selected AW as Best Soap that year, as 1992 was a great year for Y&R and GL too. (It’s sad that TVG doesn’t have an online archive, but that magazine has changed hands so many times over the years and is now a relic of a pre-EPG era.)
  5. Agreed. The shorts categories are the most expendable, and people have been campaigning for merging of the Sound categories for a while now. We already have categories like Hair Styling and Makeup, which are separate disciplines, combined for one award.
  6. I saw that. I haven’t read it yet, but Esquire took a lot of heat recently for killing that Bryan Singer story that ended up at the Atlantic. Their choices will face some increased scrutiny.
  7. I knew Jack was injured, but I didn’t know the cause: Davenport and Annacone seemed a bit shellshocked by the Osaka/Sascha split:
  8. Where’s that long promo featuring all the Another World guys circa 1996 dancing on some big, tacky neon-pink set? That was probably the most awkward and most unintentionally homoerotic soap-related footage I’ve ever seen. It was on YouTube and posted here a couple of years ago, but I think it was yanked down due to embarrassment from all involved.
  9. This is what happens when your social media team gets too big for their britches. They start messing with your money and business relationships.
  10. It’s like the dumb “Southern belle” shtick Phaedra did with her RHOA taglines, which she abandoned long after everyone got wise to her ratchetness (which was Day One).
  11. Agreed. It’s her most blunt one to date but still delivered with wicked perfection.
  12. This was embarrassing.
  13. Editing, Cinematography, Live Action Short, and Makeup/Hairstyling. How random. Edit: not random at all. None of those categories features a film from Disney (owner of ABC).
  14. Hmmm. Well, there are only three: Halep, Kerber, Osaka x2. And Halep is supposed to be on a “break” with Cahill.
  15. He has an enticing resume for someone who might be struggling. I just wonder when Muguruza and Sumyk will tire of each other, given Garbiñe’s piss-poor results as of late.
