  1. 😂😂😂
  2. He needs to start giving proper attribution for quotes, though. 😂
  3. Oy. Sloane. I’d love to see Monica regain even a glimmer of Olympics form. It would be great for tennis.
  4. I’d missed the article on millennials, but I just read it, and it is indeed pretty good.
  5. ^Ha! Tsitsitrump.
  6. LOL Stefanos
  7. People are saying that he threw all his eggs in the Best Director basket, which didn’t pay off for him and allowed Malek and Bale to steal the momentum coming into the nominations. The nominations were soft on “A Star is Born” relative to what was expected.
  8. Foregone conclusion given the big ratings.
  9. I actually like JLaw, but I think it was too much too soon, and her choices in roles haven’t done her any favors. I totally agree that Glenn doesn’t buy them a clickbait narrative for the young, “cool” people, but people really responded to her feminist Globes speech. It was all the news shows focused on from that ceremony.
  10. Yeah, practically every year someone wins an Oscar more for career achievement than an individual performance. Not sure why the outrage about Glenn in particular. It’s better than the various “Hot Young Thing” Best Actress winners (JLaw, Emma Stone, the list goes on). I think Rami does have a real shot, but stories like this constantly in the news won’t help:
  11. It’s very different from companies I’ve worked for who were *very* hesitant to acknowledge other networks or platforms unless they were sister networks or we had a partnership or our talent was appearing in their programs. Netflix has a very unique voice on social (almost always in first-person singular oddly), and they may also see fellow streamers as comrades. They are also so big that they can be a bit generous.
  12. Apple with the smackdown.
  13. Netflix has been very supportive of other streaming services on social. They were singing the praises of “Killing Eve” earlier this month on Twitter, and when people asked where they could watch it, Netflix replied, “Try @Hulu.”
  14. Oh wow, this is pretty interesting/alarming.
  15. Right. I don’t think he meant overall. So many long movies this year. Lady Bird, for example, was a tight 94 minutes.
