  1. RE: Candiace: On one hand, I wouldn't mind seeing her punished by getting fired from Potomac. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind seeing her punished by getting ganged up by the entire cast for one last season of her comeuppance.
  2. Before I get into OC, I have to laugh at Dr. Jen and the usually shirtless hubby with his toy chihuahua always in his arms because that is SO me, lol. As we watched the early episodes of this season, my hubby pointed out that I do that ALL the time with my darling lil Coco (see avatar photo). Any discussion, good or bad, Coco's in my arms (well arm actually, cuz she's so tiny). But I digress... I think we're up to episode 9 now of OC? And I can honestly say, this is still a rebuilding year, with the cast seemingly on their own islands. Half-way through the episode, I thought: they really need Tamra back. SOMEONE that helps connects the old (Shannon, Heather) with the newish (Gina, Emily), and help stir things up with the brand newbies (Noella, Jen). Because this crop of women still feels very disjointed. Honestly, sometimes I don't know where Shannon fits in anymore. Gina & Emily, the two we all were lukewarm about during their early years, are the two ships that help navigate the story and tie everyone together. It seems like a chore for Heather to hang with anyone, and really it is; it's a job. It shouldn't feel that way to us viewers though. Noella is just too much too soon. She has beef with half the cast and turns on the ones who are in her corner. Shannon is the one she hasn't targeted yet. Noella's on track to ice herself out of the group before the end of her first year. She's messy and too much, which means she'll cool off in her second year, similar to Jennifer over on New Jersey.... if she's back another year. Jen is nice, and I wouldn't put her in the Terri DeMarco desperation category, but she isn't really popping. So I dunno. It all feels very disjointed and inorganic, even in Housewives' world.
  3. That was in reference to all the trashy talk shows that were all the rage in the 90's.
  4. I could've sworn at one point on B&B, Hunter Tylo was sporting a haircut just like Krista Allen's current 'do. Anyhow, she looks great now and she fits in great as Taylor. Hunter who?
  5. Yes & Yes. It's a shame the momentum GL had gained back in 2002 was squandered in early 2003 with the Ellen Weston/John Conboy combo. Millee Taggart did a fantastic job as the showrunner in 2002.
  6. That was my thought, too. Carter/Paris/Zende is weak sauce, they needed a 4th party to come in and cause a stink. Normally that sort of role is given to Katie Logan.
  7. I'm glad Krista Allen was finally able to ditch the Kim Zolciak-like mop on her head. Paris' mom is going too hard on Carter. I mean, I can understand her not liking him because of the Zoe thing, but if she were to "reveal" that Carter is kissing Paris, what's the real consequence? Paris and Zende are both mutually dating other people. Or at least, Zende's extracurricular activities are well known, and what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If Eric and Ridge can forgive Carter for screwing Quinn, they'll barely blink an eye over him kissing an armadillo (sorry... she kisses weird). Side Note: Exactly why did Sheila target Brooke so much? Isn't Steffy a greater threat at keeping her away from her son and grandchild?
  8. +1. Paul Narita was the best part of the Will/Sonny/Paul triangle. I love that Christopher Sean has a longstanding appreciation for the show and Drake as his onscreen father. Paul was apparently conceived around the same time as Will. While struggling with his newfound priestly responsibilities and keeping his urges for Kristen under control, he randomly boffed Paul's mama who wandered into St. Luke's church. I mean, sure, I guess. LOL
  9. NJ: I enjoyed the premiere. Their interactions certainly seem more organic than some of the other franchises (OC, I'm looking at you). So on one hand, I think the Budget Coven have a right to want to ice out Jennifer because she talked madcore sh*t at the reunion, including baseless claims (i.e. Margaret started the rumor with zero proof of said accusation). I think it's a good beginning to a new season and the tension seems more real than conjured up as petty arguments for the sake of the show. However, I also like that Jennifer acknowledged she doesn't feel backed up by Tre/Dolores the way Jackie/Melissa/Margaret have each other's backs, so that felt organic too. That said, Margaret blurting out Jennifer's husband's affair was wrong and sloppy and Jennifer's swift reaction of correcting her error ("It wasn't the secretary!", or whatever the real explanation was) was a thing of beauty. She owned it without missing a beat. So a big +1 to Jennifer on that (and you guys know I prefer Margaret overall). Another bad mark on the Budget Coven was making fun of the nose job. It just wasn't necessary, and we know a good two of the three have needed time post-surgery to have their work settle. Hell, I'm still on the fence about Margaret's new face. That mouth/jawline looks like it's about to rip if she opens her mouth too wide. I actually have not seen Teresa's man's video (sorry, I'm blanking on all the men's names today). Is it worth googling? WOW at the young ladies Teresa's little girls are becoming. The tiny one has gone from scrappy tomboy to glamazon preteen. Side note: Speaking of work done, Joe Gorga's lips are quite plumped and his jawline looks to have subtle injections to make it more defined, among other alterations. And a +1 on Frankie Junior. Woof
  10. I know @Soapsuds will like this one… your man is hitting the gym back up again…
  11. Oh yeah, I'm getting a Melaswen feeling, with 1/30th of the budget. Which means those giant tree walls from our good ol' town park bench set will be making a comeback.
  12. I'm glad Bravo finally did the right thing. With Jennie at least. Meanwhile, I echo the sentiments here that RHOSLC went from zero to 180 in the toxicity department in record speed. Not only is their reunion already outdated thanks to Mary and Jennie, but Season 3 is going to be a clusterf*ck of alliances. I can barely keep up with who likes who and who doesn't already. Side Note: When Meredith is EXTREMELY upset, it's almost alarming, like there's something wrong with her. Even Ramona Singer doesn't short-circuit like that at her very worst.
  13. Agreed. They're punishing vs. protecting the wrong ones. What a mess.
  14. Speaking of bad lighting, the random blue lighting in the back of the courtroom made the poor judge's face look green!
  15. Yeah, that line made no sense. Add to that, the devil isn't horny for men or women. The devil has no desire for mortals. Also, has Johnny already been fully taken over? It seems he's the devil 100% of the time. The devil can sure take over quickly, as opposed to slowly worming his way into control. Ugh. They break their own rules of this dumb game. Wait. No love for Melissa Archer's elephant statue?
  16. Agreed. And even in the midst of it all, she was still touting GL as the greatest thing since sliced bread (there was a brief creative high, so to speak, in the first half of 2005 when the negotiation drama was unfolding). She wasn't acting all bitter and airing out grievances like some other veteran actors from other soaps had done...
  17. Ya know, I was about to post the same thing about Meredith. After being tied with Heather as my SLC favorite last year, Meredith is coming off as hypocritical when it comes to defending one person and not defending another. Plus, the fact that she actually thinks her request that she and Jen not be invited to the same events is something that would actually stick when they're filming a reality show together, well that's just ridiculous. It could maybe work back in the day (i.e. "Don't film with Bethenny" / "Don't film with Kelly") when there were more individual one-on-one scenes on Housewives, but nowadays it's all about the group dinners in hopes of creating another Dinner Party from Hell moment. Love her or hate her, you still gotta be in the same room as her if you want to remain on the show.
  18. Agreed. I feel like some of the flashback scenes would be beneficial for getting to know new girl Jen, too, who otherwise is a pretty forgettable newbie so far.
  19. GL's Holly was my first thought, too. Though I suppose I'm influenced by Maureen Garrett's real-life coming out.
  20. Yikes. Heather is the best by default because everyone else looks tacky. I'm not going to be able to take anyone seriously when they're fighting, with obnoxious feathers coming out of their arms and shoulders.
  21. Wha?!? Legit excited to see this. I barely watch Y&R anymore and don't tune in for that story, but totally will now to see "Joshua Lewis" back on our screens!
  22. Satan in 2022 has no subtlety. If only they could emulate the way the possession story was originally introduced in Dec. '94 through Feb. '95, when Marlena wasn't aware of anything that was happening to her.
  23. This woman has learned nothing from the Season 5 altercation. Much like Nene, Porsha fell on her own sword and her falling out of favor with the audience and Bravo production was her own doing. After disliking her for her first few seasons, she actually became one of my favorites. But now, oof, last night was ugly and ratchet. We stopped watching and switched over to SLC instead. How long does this Porsha's Family Matters arc last anyhow? It seems it's a long played out mess that isn't going to really lead anywhere.
  24. You know I love you and completely appreciate your perspective. I honestly forgot about the cartel comment, and has for the 7/11 comment, it was definitely a classist remark rather than racist. My issue with the slanted eyes comment was more with Meredith; she was tip-toeing and trying to play both sides because she didn't want to anger Mary by calling her out on it. Oh and yes, please give me my wonderfully messy spring chicken that is Miss Ashley Darby ANY day over "Little Girl." Little Miss Ashley plays the game like a pro. 😘 @Taoboi Ugh. Jacqueline Laurita. Easily one of my least favorites of all time. Yeah, depending on how things go down, I could see them welcoming Mary back, if she wants to return. If Jacqueline got to come back, and Adrienne Maloof has appeared many times since ditching the S3 reunion, anything is possible. Ah, thanks for the clarification on the Lydias, lol. Yeah, Handmaid's Lydia is someone I continuously want to see killed off, but dammit if the actress isn't incredible!
