  1. Dang, another Billie Reed takes a role from Hunter Tylo 😂 Yeah, this is random, but *so* B&B. If you’re not lifers like KKL and McCook, your role will be recast, and likely with a younger version.
  2. For sure, Gizelle is a necessary evil on Potomac, much like NYC's Ramona; much like Tamra was (and should still be?) on OC. And hell, I'll even say Kyle on Beverly Hills because we know we'll never get rid of her and she's not flat out nasty like Rinna.
  3. My only guess about Drew is that she's a familar face, and with vets Porsha and Cynthia gone, they wanted to keep someone slightly familiar, plus keep the cast a healthier number. Clearly having only 5 main castmembers just doesn't work for Housewives shows anymore. Side Note: I enjoy Sheree and her grand delusions, but her return (again) feels like a second string backup plan. She way she exited after season 10 was so lackluster. And we know she doesn't hold genuine friendships with any of 'em. But we'll see what she can bring.
  4. Part 2 of RHOBH reunion was good, but it also had a lot of filler that would've ordinarily been left on the cutting room floor had they not spread this over four episodes. Crystal's housekeeper was a non-factor, and holy hell did they spend A LOT of unnecessary time talking about Scott Disick! Like geez, is he joining the show next season? The episode was lighter and mostly enjoyable, but you could tell they were stretching out the time.
  5. Actually, those scenes were from early 1993 when John & Marlena had sex on the Titan conference room table. It aired in primetime as a one hour special called "Night Sins," which aired before that year's Soap Opera Awards. DAYS did this 3 years in a row, with '92's "One Stormy Night" and '94's "Winter Heat."
  6. Agreed, there needed to be buildup. The original was done so much better. I knew things would be told more quickly now, but already there's a big piece that doesn't make sense.... in the original tale, there'd be chunks of time Marlena couldn't account for (when the devil was controlling her), and when she was back in control of her mind/body, she had no recollection of anything and was completely confused. This time around, she's able to recall what happened when the devil was in her or communicating to her, yet she does nothing to get help. Instead, she's taking matters into her own hands by trying to save Doug or trying to get Ben not to procreate. If she's somehow aware that the devil is gaining grip on her, wouldn't she tell John right away or hightail it to St. Lukes for the priest to perform an emergency ritual? It just doesn't make sense that non-possessed Marlena realizes the devil is working her, yet she still continues to do his bidding.
  7. LOL Oh, Wendy.... Meanwhile, Robyn is the one woman who gives us NOTHING. Some things never change. What baby weight? Ashley be looking great!
  8. The original possession storyline played out from November 1994 through July 1995. Not every day is gonna be pea soup and levitation...
  9. There's no depths Rinna won't sink to. Get her Garcelle.
  10. Yes, I loved how they included the original 1993 scores for the Night Sins flashbacks. I couldn't help but notice though in the last couple episodes, there are hints of old-school 1995 possession cues reimagined in a couple scenes. I'm crossing my fingers they'll eventually use the old ones altogether. I also hope they adjust MarDevil's new drag queen voice to make it sound more gruff, deeper, and menacing.
  11. I thought the same thing. How deserving.
  12. Agreed on that aspect. I like Eric Martsolf, but having Brady appear older than Sami & Eric and also seeming to be the same age as Kristen (Stacy Haiduk's version at least) is jarring. Kristen used to babysit Brady as a 3-year-old. But it is what it is, and it's been that way for 13 years now, so :::shrug:::
  13. I mostly didn't watch the final 2 years of Guiding Light, but wasn't the Peapack era riddled with continuity errors, left and right? Certainly, the weather was the biggest factor. I think I tuned in for the episode when Olivia came out to Natalia where they were outside in the snow on a cloudy day, and in another outdoor scene across town there's zero snow on the ground and it's sunny.
  14. 100% on everything Potomac related, and yes @NothinButAttitude I'll contend Candyass could stay one more season to get her just desserts. However, I've seen this scenario play out in the past with housewives on Beverly Hills who seem to weasel their way out of their comeuppance. I do love that everyone in her corner is calling her out on her childish, petty behavior, as well as questioning whether she learned anything from last year (and whether her "trauma" was really genuine). +1 on the Ashley/Karen friendship that has developed and Ashley's ability to jump in and out of arguments with nary a scratch. Her messiness is done in a clean manner. I didn't even connect the dots on the irony of Gizelle/Robyn not having their own bathroom after their shadiness towards Wendy at Gizelle's driveway event. Karen specifying she's married to Ray to a group of strangers.... the salad tossing, the tea-bagging, the tongue wagging... LOL. The gift that keeps on giving... Robyn is the poor man's Cynthia Bailey. I'd keep her around, but damn girl, step it up. Comparing her to a chihuahua is an insult to chihuahuas, lol. I prefer guinea pig.
  15. Wow, that would've made total sense. No wonder it didn't happen. 😄
  16. 100% truth. Gosh, just those writeups at the end of the season finale shows the majority have nothing going on in their lives. ITA that a friend of Garcelle's needs to be added to the cast next year. If Crystal is to stay, I see her cozying up to Producer Kyle, a la Terri DeMarco. The kiki between Kyle/Rinna/Dorit/Erika sadly seemed like the "core four" of the show as it now stands, but it also showed just how vapid and hollow this foursome really is. A shake-up and some familiar faces returning are definitely needed for next season. But no, Teri, you are not welcome back.
  17. Looks juicy With the LVP / Garcelle love, my true wish for next season's cast would be: Garcelle, Sutton, Lisa Vanderpump (return!), Camille (return!), Kyle, and Lisa Rinna. Plus one or two other peeps (Crystal? Kathy full-time?) but it's key that they lose both Erika and Dorit unless Dorit and Kyle have truly had a falling out. Why? Because I'd love to see a gang-up of Garcelle/Sutton/LVP/Camille vs. Kyle/Rinna. With only two from the Coven left, they'd have a hard time controlling the narrative and coming out looking rosy (besides, we know we'll never get rid of producer Kyle until the show itself ends). I would particularly love to see all 4 of the fabulous women go HARD on Rinna. And a special guest star pop-up from Denise f**king Richards to top it off. Sigh... dare to dream.
  18. That new girl I first thought was Emma Stone in a bad wig.
  19. Word. Who's the real hood rat here? What a trash couple. +1 on Mia not working at all.
  20. Idea: devote one whole episode to Katie hysterically crying over Eric’s limp penis so Heather Tom has this year’s Emmy reel, and put Katie on the backburner for the rest of the year.
  21. Ooh honey! He's right up there with Lisa Wu's Ed Hartwell for me... ::fans self::: But I digress... Admittedly, I haven't been following the gossip around ATL too much, so I'm very surprised we're just NOW getting casting scoop! Wouldn't they normally be half-way done filming by now with a December release of the new season?
  22. Same; I've got 2 moving boxes full of VHS tapes I always intend(ed) to convert, first to DVD but now just straight to digital. On my To-Do bucket list. It's mostly DAYS and GL, along with the Daytime Emmys and Soap Opera Awards.
  23. Agreed. My first thought. MarDevil is a lazy drag performer now. I definitely preferred the distorted voice of '95 much better. And I think the colored contact lenses of '95 were better too because they looked like actual eyeballs, versus the current ones which look like CGI. I'll never understand why they brought back Ava Vitali. I mean, Tamara Braun isn't that good. It gives Tripp something to play off of, but again, was it really that important? He's got Steve and Kayla for that. Meanwhile, Jake is the perfect example of why you need to plan ahead. If something was sparking between the actors playing Stefan and Gabi, keep him on as Stefan. But to kill him off and bring him back as a lookalike twin with no meaningful reason to really be in Salem, you've failed. What a dud of a character.
