  1. Kyle Lowder (the superior Brady, DAYS) is in a commercial for...something. All I know is that he looks ridiculous, he's wearing a mullet and riding a jet ski.
  2. Are you...in the cast?
  3. All of these men are movie stars...and old as hell. I didn't see this posted: http://deadline.com/2017/02/dynasty-cw-reboot-cast-robert-christopher-riley-valor-charlie-barnett-1201970567/ And this is a better picture of the guy (allegedly) playing Steven. He's certainly not ugly. But I am surprised they didn't go with someone younger and hunkier looking. The show has (at the moment) has exactly one straight white male lead. Pretty interesting.
  4. Preston's American accent is getting worse somehow? Why is Michelle always wearing that overcoat? It's almost like they want to make the actress come across as unattractive. Not that she is...she just seems like the "before" in a makeover show. And she is so cold that I can't imagine her having sex or any teenage boy wanting to have sex with her. Much less actively pursuing her. I like the actress playing Bex a lot. Why did they speed this story up so much? It would at least be more interesting if Michelle and Preston were having an active affair while he was dating Bex but as it is they only made it official that day.
  5. Tika Sumpter has been cast as Casey Affleck's wife in some movie I can't bother to look up. Great for her career, sucks it's with him.
  6. I'm actually over bad character decisions being blamed on tumors. Just have the character own up to it and move on. Write a better story. These shows spend so much time trying to "fix" things that there's zero forward momentum. Just give Sharon something to do that has nothing to do with her mental health. There. Problem solved.
  7. Tonya Pinkins was on last night's Scandal in a story with her fellow AMC alum, Joe Morton. Lauren Boles (ex-Ciara, Days) was on last night's Grey's Anatomy as well. She had one line.
  8. You may be right. All I remember is that the set had brick walls, big windows in the back and those dark green pillars.
  9. Steve was hot. Why is she thinking about Brad when she's got that at home? And it's crazy how old some of these sets are. Victor's penthouse is now the home of Chelsea 2.0
  10. Put your boner away. Sean Ringgold (Sean, OLTL) was on an old episode of the hidden camera show Impractical Jokers. Just as a regular New Yorker, no one famous.
  11. @AMARIB91 Thank you so much for posting those videos, they've brought back some great memories. Billy and Mac were the first soap couple I chose to like (I liked Tad and Dixie first but I was very young and the show basically told me I had to like them). I find myself more invested in the outcome of these stories that I've already seen than anything I've watched on a soap in years. Y&R used to be unafraid to not have main characters onscreen at all times. They would have 2nd/3rd/4th tier characters share long scenes without this needless rush to get back to Victor or Nikki or Jack or whoever. John Silva and Larry Wharton had two long uninterrupted scenes in one of the episodes you shared, they both helped to fill the hour and moved the plot along. You'd never see that today. No, instead we need to Billy and Victoria every single day doing nothing. I've always been impressed by the casting of AshBash as Beau Kazer's daughter, he wasn't even on the show at the time but they seemed to go out of their way to cast someone that looks like him. What a great scene. I so wish the show would acknowledge BK's passing, but they'd really need to bring Mac back for that and I doubt they'll ever do that.
  12. Please please PLEASE do, I watched the entire week you posted. I remember watching that as a teenager, I love and hate all the exact same thing, it's a great feeling.
  13. You could have @'d me...but THANK YOU FOR THIS! It's been 17 years! Holy crap... This is a scene. Jess Walton is still just as good. She hasn't gotten lazy like so many of her contemporaries. And I love how Mac is honestly bewildered. She sounds like a kid! And Jill sounds like a loon but so very in character. And I remember exactly why I've never warmed to Eileen Davidson. She is a cold fish. And always seems utterly bored no matter the material.
  14. Honestly he seems about 20 years too old to be the lead on a CW show but good for him!
  15. I hated that they recast Jessica two weeks later. And brought her back as that nincompoop.
  16. No problem. I hope that didn't come across rude, wasn't meant to be at all. Thanks lol, I've only seen the former Michelle in clips and this doesn't seem like the same person but what do I know? I just know this one doesn't seem to fit what they're selling.
  17. It sounds like a British person doing an American accent but at least he's trying. This Michelle person looks like she keeps bodies in her cellar or cannibalizes children, why would young men find her irresistible? Is Lee gone? That story wrapped up quickly.
  18. Thanks! American soaps have about the same amount but their canvases seem much smaller somehow.
  19. That bus crash seems to have been a whole lot of nothing? Everyone has seemingly moved on the next day. Very weird. Exactly how many contract players does this show have? I swear there are like 50 characters.
  20. Their pet? What? This isn't a soap opera...
  21. I believe the intent was what we ultimately saw onscreen, that Natalie and Jessica were fraternal twins (and I think that's only if Natalie ended up turning out to be successful as a character and luckily she was), but they added all this nonsense to it like Mitch raping Viki and a bunch of other bullshit.
  22. Well their perception are the show is wildly out of whack with what's on the screen. There was no pandering to any group. It's weird the different things people pull from the same show.
  23. This show is...the least hateful thing on TV. Have you watched it, Carl? You'd be surprised by how little Cameron Bure's politics effect the show. They've implied that DJ and her boyfriend are having *gasp* pre-martial sex. The show has a lot of innuendo and double-entendres, it's not a "Christian" comedy at all. This isn't 7th Heaven with a laugh track.
  24. I enjoyed some of his work (and would have taken him over those two hacks at the end) but he gave the show a similar tone to Days/Passions at the time which I hated. Endless, repetitive scenes, lots of dream sequences, a ton of non-starters where we'd think a secret had been spilled but it actually hadn't. And they treated Todd making Blair think her baby was dead like some colossal joke. It was disgusting. The show handing the show over to Todd in the last 20 years was one of the worst decisions they ever made. I didn't understand it, both the actors playing him got clearly sick of playing him after a while and they didn't hide it very well either.
