The dialogue said that Nicole does both philanthropy and psychiatry. I think Nicole's home office and personal assistants are for her philanthropic work. I don't think we know yet where her psychiatry practice is located - at home or elsewhere? Ted is a plastic surgeon who can work at the hospital but he also has a high-end private practice in a building/property which has nice grounds. That came up when they were deciding where Andre would shoot the video of Nicole and Ted. Edit yes, Ted was Laura's doctor at the hospital - after Leslie ran her off the road. I don't know if he was just working as a regular Emergency Room doctor that day or what? There was some dialogue about Nicole arranging to pay for Laura to recover at a private clinic somewhere. Andre is independently wealthy, inheritance from his late parents. He travels the world doing photography. I got the impression he doesn't live anywhere fixed, and is just visiting Fairmont Crest right now -- but might decide to stick around. (and obviously will stick around since he's contract cast). Edit, I do think we saw Nicole's psychiatry office because there were framed degrees on the wall.

I love that Dani admits to Andre at the end of the episode that she shot up the wedding. He's like what? but then he listens to her. Not sure if he'll want to keep hooking up with her or not ...

I don't even know if the show would write the firefighters in 24/48 shifts as I described above. Final scenes of the episode: Firefighter Derek leaves Nurse Ashley in her apartment. Interesting, I had thought they lived together. If he's a standard professional city firefighter, then he would have shifts like this: 24 hours on, 48 hours off, 24 hours on, 48 hours off, alternating thus. With the "24 hours on" including sleeping at the firehouse. The dialogue today says his shift starts in the morning, and implied that he was going back to his own home/apartment for tonight.

Okay thanks. Somehow I thought it was all the same day within the Fairmont Crest universe. Ah, I totally forgot that Andre spent the night with Dani, (how could I have forgotten LOL ) so of course my theory made no sense. Okay so then to correct my original post: Bill and Hayley have had that house for three days, not one. But still my reasoning works for why their home seems generic -- they haven't lived there and they hired someone to furnish it.

Finally getting the keys to our brand new home. I can’t believe I’m going to be living in Fairmont Crest. <snip> Hayley: Well, I’m choosing to stay positive. Sure, it’ll take time to be accepted. They just got the keys and are spending their first night as a married couple in their new home -- the first night either of them have slept there. The couple may have expressed some preferences to the interior designer, but I don't think the home has the couple's personal touches yet. The paintings on the walls might be as random as what you see in a hotel suite? Therefore I speculate that the sets for the rooms in Bill&Hayley's home are supposed to look generic. If the marriage survives, maybe the home will look more personalized. --editing later: As was pointed out belowthread: They've had the house for three days, not one.

I'm really enjoying reading everyone's take on the show. Varied perspectives, but there's *interest* ... actual interest in a soap! The enthusiasm (and critique) are fun to read.

We can nickname/abbreviate actors however we want, there's no rule. I just find KaMo confusing because of all the years of viewers online referring to Kelly Monaco as KeMo. So every time you type "KaMo", I read it as "KeMo", then have to take a second to mentally process and realize you said "KaMo" and that you meant Karla. It's not wrong or right, you can type whatever you like. I just have to laugh at myself and my own confusion at reading that. I think it's quicker to type "Karla", but that's just me.
