Lots of amazing photos of Roberta Flack inside Lauryn Hill's ig post https://www.instagram.com/p/DGg2hqFPDax/ mslaurynhill Whitney Houston once said to me that Roberta Flack’s voice was one of the purest voices she’d ever heard. I grew up scouring the records my Parents collected. Mrs. Flack was one of their favorites and quite instantly became one of mine as soon as I was exposed to her. She looked cool and intelligent, gentle and yet militant. The songs she recorded from ‘Compared To What’ to ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ to her version of ‘Ballad Of The Sad Young Men’ fascinated me with their beauty and sophistication. Mrs. Flack was an artist, a singer-songwriter, a pianist and composer who moved me and showed me through her own creative choices and standards what else was possible within the idiom of Soul. Killing Me Softly, a song Mrs. Flack didn’t write, but made hugely popular became the song that catapulted myself and the Fugees into household phenomena. We wanted to honor the beauty and brilliance of this song and her performance of it to our generation. I will forever be grateful for the sensitivity and delicate power of her Love and Artistry. Rest in Grace Beloved One. 🌹 .- The Media/Journalism Thread

In reply to earlier posts about the P&G regular logo and the new P&G Studios logo with the candle . . . I looked up the clues the other posters mentioned, and found this More about Procter the candlemaker and Gamble the soapmaker: https://www.investors.com/news/management/leaders-and-success/william-procter-helped-build-procter-and-gamble/ Interesting history of the P&G logo https://www.businessinsider.com/pg-puts-moon-in-new-logo-despite-satanist-accusations-2013-5 From just a star, then moon and 13 stars. And then just initials and why. And finally since 2013, the current logo with a simple circle with a crescent moon and the P&G initials.- BTG: February 2025 Discussion Thread
Oh cool, they said “Beyond the Gates will continue” on the live CBS TV broadcast? Of course that didn't happen on ParamountPlus due to lack of commercials. Y&R has "mid-show bumpers" (pics of the cast) and those appear on the ParamountPlus feed. I wonder if BTG would do that? Actually I prefer it plain, because when streaming without commercials, the story just flows.- BTG: February 2025 Discussion Thread

You might be able to watch on cbs.com via VPN https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/xntraLCHjwumHJHCftwnL78kOPGZCDEm/ You can watch the Canada feed Live but it's not recorded for streaming later. At this link - they have the rights in Canada. https://www.chch.com/live/ I am able to see the Canada feed without a VPN. Canada feed is daily at 2pm NorthAmerica Eastern Standard time through March 7. Starting March 10, at 2pm NorthAmerica Eastern DAYLIGHT time. (noting this because Europe is on Standard time until end of March which will put the Europe/NorthAmerica out of sync by one hour for a few weeks.) Back in sync March 31 with Europe on Daylight/Summer time. Regarding the Canadian feel LIVE https://www.chch.com/live/ For several of us, it took a while to load, so go to the page and click "LIVE" about a half hour or an hour early, so that it's ready when the show starts. - RIP: In Memoriam Thread
