I've never seen any of the Housewives shows, so her casting is meaningless (to me), but I realize that my perspective is limited! I totally understand and respect that it's exciting for viewers of the Housewives shows. I've noticed that in replies to the tweeted promo and TVLine article, there's been lots of comments about Karen Huger. The way some of the comments were phrased, my guess is that at least some of the commenters were more familiar with Huger than with daytime soaps, so yeah this is a good way to get viewers. It reminds me of "Beyond Salem 1" in 2021, when Lisa Rinna returned as Billie Reed and Eileen Davidson returned as her multiple characters. It was marketed as a cross-promotion with Housewives, as a way to draw in viewers.
