  1. Thank you to @dragonflies and @BetterForgotten for posting these clips and full segment from CBS Mornings. Just wonderful!
  2. Wow. this show was really bad. Especially Aaron Jackson (in the orange shirt) who seemed to think he's cool, but is not. It was as if he were unintentionally doing a bad Jim Carrey impression. Thanks for posting, though! I took one acting class in the 1970s and we had to do something similar: Take a random bit of writing and then say it as if in a scene with various emotions: say it as if you're speaking to a dying loved one, say it as if you're joyful about a specific situation, etc. But the idea was to do the exercise sincerely to do *acting* and really embody the emotions of what was being said, despite the meaningless script. It was fun and interesting to watch my classmates do it. It seems like Clifton Davis took that approach-- doing it sincerely. He was a believable character when reading aloud the "sound, desktop&dock settings" (for an apple computer). Even the words "on" and "off" had emotion, LOL. Loved how he said "Play feedback, when volume is changed". And then they had him redo the scene as if he were a Russian spy. I mean, if he can put that much emotion into "device settings", then Vernon Dupree will be mesmerizing. (Well we already knew he'd be great as Vernon. Just sayin' this shows he can act, no matter what the script). Karla Mosley seemed to approach this as if it were supposed to be a soap spoof, so she was intentionally overdramatic when doing the reading of the "mattress tag", plus her scene partner was very annoying. I liked her second scene partner better, when they did the "dehydration warning".
  3. as BetterForgotten said, the Wed. Feb. 19th BTG Welcome to the Neighborhood segment on Fashion, hair, makeup is on cbs.com here https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/crj5fCrk7A7phkhxKQHOVZ7fiuLWi4pt/ Update that it's also up on paramountplus here: https://www.paramountplus.com/shows/video/crj5fCrk7A7phkhxKQHOVZ7fiuLWi4pt/
  4. Tamara Tunie on Late Show with Stephen Colbert Posting to highlight her wardrobe. My apologies for my blurry screengrabs. She looks better on the show. Jacket by https://christiebrownonline.com (a Ghanaian based luxury fashion brand) https://christiebrownonline.com/pages/about-christie-brown It's similar to this one: https://www.instagram.com/p/DFVvY1vucfi/ and you can see the detail on the back of Ms. Tunie's is similar to the one on the side here: https://christiebrownonline.com/products/morgan?variant=50123794153747 I see that Ms. Tunie is following that designer on ig https://www.instagram.com/christiebrowngh/
  5. All the stories Ms. Tunie told on Colbert, are wonderful! Her parents were morticians and her family lived in the upstairs of the funeral home -- the family lived upstairs, the funeral home was on the ground level, and the mortuary was in the basement -- she said it was like the show "Six Feet Under, only Black". She began helping in the family business as a teen, doing hair and makeup. She was born into this life so it was all normal for her. She said that when she got the role as the medical examiner on SVU, "When I walked into the morgue on Law&Order:SVU, nobody could tell me nothing!" What's great is that she has been told by Black women in real life that they, or their daughters or sisters, became inspired to study forensic science because of her role on SVU. It's all on the youtube (two posts up from this)

  10. From scrolling through Eileen's IG account, it seems that she's been doing a lot of fun stuff with her husband lately, such as watching pickleball, and participating herself in his poker tournaments, and also going on vacations, and doing family stuff. As she says on her IG post "Working a little. Playing a lot." She's taping Y&R on Feb. 19, so I guess this wardrobe airs near end of March, give or take a week. https://www.instagram.com/p/DGRWHAKydsk/ February 19, 2025 eileendavidsonofficial Working a little. 11. I added Ava while you were replying so that makes five.
  12. I mean, a $9.00 daily fee for all New Yorkers ... isn't as important as ... the USA abandoning Europe, Trump calling Zelenskyy a dictator who caused Ukraine to start a war with Russia, Trump aligning with Putin and China, Musk taking over the US government, massive layoffs of federal employees, and book bannings in schools. but still, I enjoyed Governor Huchul's rant. And she backed it up with legal action to stop Trump.
  13. Currently New York has laws or regulations that relieve traffic congestion, so that cars and public transportation can run on time, with less traffic jams and less pollution. It's working and people are better able to get to work. Edit to add: It's a daily $9.00 fee designed to reduce traffic in heart of Manhattan and raise billions to upgrade subway train and bus systems Trump issued some order against New York to try to stop this regulation, and if he succeeds, then traffic congestion will get much worse. People have been protesting saying that Trump is not a king and doesn't have the right to take over everything. In response to this, Trump made a fake Time Magazine cover (except that it's titled TRUMP instead of TIME) and he put himself on this "cover" as with a golden crown on his head, saying he's triumphing over the New York traffic situation. It's gross, so I won't post the image here. WELL, the Governor of New York State, Kathy Hochul, is ANGRY. She just gave a press conference asserting the rights of New York residents, and lambasting Trump and U.S. Transportation Secretary Duffy. This is amazing. Governor Hochul did not hold back. The first few minutes of the youtube are blank, waiting for the press conference to start. She comes on at 5:30.
  14. Rant: I just can't make myself watch a show featuring three rapists. EJ forced Sami to have sex in exchange for agreeing to save Lucas' life (with the understanding that if she said no, then Lucas would remain in a harmful situation and/or left to die). So that's rape by coercion. When Sami was in relationship with Rafe (or married to Rafe), EJ put Arnold in EJ's bed for a while as Rafe's lookalike. That's Arnold committing rape by impersonation, *and* EJ committing rape by arranging the crime. I heard that EJ had a throwaway line of dialogue a while back that he understands consent better now. Really? That doesn't fix things. That's not a way to write a character. That's just a plot device to put whatever character in whatever storyline. Kristen has raped multiple people. I just don't want to watch any of these people. /end rant I don't care if Martha and Dan have chemistry as Belle and EJ. It's gross because EJ raped Belle's sister! EDIT to add: rapist Ava is on the show too.

  20. The above promo via Tamara Tunie instagram Feb. 19th The announcer says "CBS Daytime is about to get ....... soapier" with these words flashing on the screen while he says that: "CBS Daytime is about to get sexier, feistier, spicier, dicier, messier, soapier". That phrasing and some of the graphics are like the combined BTG/B&B/Y&R promo released last week. And the other elements are taken from some of the BTG promos we've already seen.
  21. already discussed a couple pages back. Someone said MVJ had mentioned it and Errol replied regarding MVJ's twitter post:
