I added onto my above post that Martin may have married young because of his political ambitions. A trajectory all planned out. Martin just said a couple of times in past two weeks that he wants something more (as if he's newly thinking about this) and now says he would like to run for president; but I suspect that's been his plan all along. -- to run for president in 2032. So by my theory/speculation, he is 28 years old now, and became a father at age 20-21 by adopting children who were already 7-8 years old at the time of the adoption. That's the only way the timeline makes sense. Smitty could be older than Martin. Martin might have insisted on the marriage and family thing. (but this is all *ONLY* my speculation) Anita said in the first episode "a march on Washington in the 70s"- BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread
So I'm guessing Martin is supposed to be around 28 years old now so that he'd be 35 by the 2032 presidential election. His husband Smitty could be any age. I am going to imagine/speculate that the children they adopted were already 7-9 years old at the time of adoption. (Dialogue mentioned reading them stories but maybe just reading to the younger one, or maybe reading to both during first weeks of adoption to make them feel at home?). With my theory, they adopted the children when Martin was 20-21 years old. As someone posted above thread, maybe Martin wanted to appear stable before embarking on a career in politics, so he wanted to have the househusband and children ready, in order to depict a stable perfect life to voters? To take that thought further, Martin may have married young because of his political ambitions.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
Yes but even worse. Ron thinks these costumes, lookalikes, and related escapades are hilarious, but they're not. The first pic is a stuffed bear in an obnoxious saccharine storyline that one character gave another (two characters that never belong together) .. and then the bear came to life in someone's dream or something? I had to skim it, it was so awful, so I don't care about the details. The second pic is from "Body&Soul" a soap-within-soap on Days that was a horrid storyline that lasted for many months and even Deidre Hall commented (after Ron C. stopped writing) in a subtle way that implied relief it was done. The last pic actually is Greg Rikaart on Days who was the Y&R chipmunk.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos

Martin didn't say *when* specifically that he'd be running for president. He didn't say 2028 or any election year. Maybe he is sharing a longterm plan with his mother. Like maybe he'd be in Congress so many terms, then run for senate or governor, then president? Or maybe set up a preliminary exploratory committee (informally for now) for running in 2032?- All My Children Tribute Thread

They had the scene with Vanessa and the gym trainer talking about the property, in front of Vanessa's husband Doug. So Doug knows what property she's about to show and where it is. Doug asked his friend, the mob-affiliated Randy, for money for his gambling debt, and Randy told Doug to go ask Vanessa for the money. Do Doug and Vanessa have an open relationship? Does he know she likes to play around, and is he fine with that? Will Doug go to the real estate property location to find Vanessa to ask her for the money? Will he be surprised or unsurprised at what he finds?- BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread

Speculation/theory: I'm getting an impression that they're writing Andre as the world-traveling rich playboy photographer who can be interested in/smashing multiple people. On the surface-level. But I also have the impression that they're attempting to convey that he thinks about things and tries to listen, so he does have some depth, maybe? When, yesterday after sex, Dani admitted to Andre that she'd just shot up the wedding, I got the impression that he realized she was using him to unwind from all the family stress, and he was okay with that, but still surprised at the level of craze. Yet he also listened to where she was coming from, and asked her how she now feels. The whole deliver-a-baby-in-elevator trope -- was a trope, somewhat poorly directed/written. I agree that the level of praise that nurse Ashley is receiving in the dialogue from the other characters -- is really way over-the-top, LOL. But I do think they are *attempting* to convey that playboy Andre is somewhat moved by Ashley's dedication as a nurse (despite the bad writing). I think the show might be trying to go with Andre being willing to charm anyone and jump anyone's bones, yet at the same time there might be a trope of him... attracted to bad girls, but impressed by good girls (Dani/Ashley). I mean I don't think Ashley is strong enough for this trope, but perhaps the show is going for that? Or maybe as others have posted, there may be more beneath the surface for her. Just speculating based on a few episodes, that they seem to be showing layers with Andre.- BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread
The actor who plays Ted has been reading and replying to many tweets about the show. To all the theories about Ted -- he simply replies with a "hmmm", or a gif, or an expression of enthusiasm about the discussion -- but without committing to any particular speculation. https://x.com/iamMauriceJ/with_replies We know Ted's brother (Andre's father) died. It hasn't been stated in the dialogue that he was a twin. Quite a while back, someone posted the twin theory here on SON -- I think it was a speculation? I don't think Ted having a twin was ever in any article describing the characters. However there have been a gazillion articles and video interviews in the past 11 months, so of course I may have missed it. As far as I can tell, it's an internet viewer theory that keeps getting repeated. But I could easily be wrong.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
I don't know this person; but I'm posting this to show an example of new viewer engagement https://x.com/Gregpuna/status/1897093774553313361 Gregory Lewis 🇹🇹 🇧🇧 🇬🇩 @Gregpuna Mar 4, 2025 Okay, so I’m utter shock. My 82 year old father came over while I was rewatching today’s episode of #BeyondTheGates. He took one look at the black folk and proceeded to sit down and watch it with me. My father has never been interested soaps. I was speechless.- BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread
