The high tea was February 20 in Los Angeles, a Paramount/CBS event - a combined event from CBS with actors and staff from Y&R, B&B, and BTG. Same night as Paley Center event in NYC. (Cady and Jon had already been hired long before). It's all starting on page 343 of the BTG behind-the-scenes thread. Edit to add: Well okay I don't know the exact dates Cady and Jon were hired. They were announced around a week before the first BTG airdate, but no idea of their hire dates. Don't know if they were hired at the same time or not. Just that they were announced at the same time. -
Johnny and Allie don't know what happened. They were told something bland as children (likely offscreen) and never questioned it. The topic never arose since the time they were SORASed teens returning to Salem. I don't think they think it was random. They likely assumed they were both conceived out of love. That's why this reveal is important -- if handled correctly

But otherwise the pics are great. And you can see the differences in the shapes of the men's faces, for anyone having trouble telling them apart by haircuts.
I just noticed that, in one of the many prelaunch articles in the mainstream press that outlines who the main characters are.... it says that Vanessa is Dani's neighbor. https://deadline.com/gallery/beyond-the-gates-cast-photos-cbs/1-012-3/ That reminded me of the scene in the first episode, when Vanessa enters via Dani's glass kitchen door at the moment Dani is throwing coffee mugs. Vanessa says "well, so much for stop by for a cup of coffee!" At the time I took it as good friends who have permission to walk into one another's homes. But the idea of a neighbor who stops by via the kitchen door, well, that fits, too.
DO NOT CLICK to read the entire article. "countylocalnews" is an AI clickbait site containing malware I read the above post plus the rest of the article. It felt like it was written by an AI. Some of the sentences repeated the same idea in slightly different words. They claimed to have info from tweets, etc. I noticed no author and no "about" on the website, nothing about the staff or contact info for "countylocalnews". I looked at some of their other "articles" and they all seemed fake about random topics. I checked and verified. If it doesn't exist, then it's probably a fake site. Sometimes a site will lead back through several links to a content farm on another continent. So someone exists but only for clicks. That takes a bit of work to search and find. In this case there's nothing at all, so that should have been a red flag. That and the entire writing style was a giveaway that it was not written by a human. I did a "whois" on the domain name countylocalnews.com, and their contact person is based in Nigeria. I confirmed no UEFA soccer preemptions in March. But there *will* be NCAA basketball preemptions. Thursday March 20 and Friday March 21, all CBS soaps will be preempted for NCAA March Madness basketball. CBS preempts the soaps every year on the third Thursday/Friday of March for basketball. This is nationwide in USA, so chch.com won't have BTG in Canada either. The basketball preemptions are already showing on the CBS listings on zap2it.com. Twelve hours of basketball coverage on March 20.
REMINDER -- USA/Canada changes to daylight(summer) time Sunday March 9th. For anyone watching from outside of North America, your region might change clocks a different week. For example: Europe doesn't change to "SummerTime" until March 30th. The word "endgame" isn't really a spoiler, just an interview about working together in the past, but ... there is some spoilerish stuff. They ask the actors if their characters are an endgame couple, but that's because this was from a romance magazine article that tvinsider linked to. They do ask the actors about the futures of their characters, so I reposted this on the spoiler thread. This isn't entirely a spoiler, it's TV insider linking to another website .. a random feature by "swooon.com". Swooon (with 3 o's) is a new "romance-themed" magazine that is a sister publication to TVInsider/TVGuide. They do articles on real-life celebrity couples, and interviews with actors who play or played fictional couples. But sometimes the choices seem random. They did a Valentine's Day feature with Jason Thompson and Courtney Hope about the current Y&R Billy/Sally pairing. Seems unimportant and I don't know why they picked them. So I think this is more like "oh let's interview two soap actors who play (or played) a couple, and ask them questions." Of course they'd ask Beemer and Martha if Shelle is endgame, but that's just a question you'd expect. (It seems that the Shawn/Jada pairing may continue in some form for a while, as there was a Beemer/Cantu photoshoot for the 60th anniversary in November.) Yes at least weekly, maybe daily. With a monthly thread, those who wish to remain unspoiled, if they are a few days behind, would have to wade through pages of discussion of episodes they haven't seen yet. Also with the show now streaming on Pluto, all the Pluto viewers would be a week behind, so I think weekly or daily makes more sense than monthly. Edit, perhaps I agree with the poster that said daily might be too confusing? Too many threads to search through? Unless BTG gets its own section on SON, there would be too much to have 30 daily BTG threads mixed in with all the threads on other soaps.
Wednesday March 12: Guest appearance by real-life retired emergency room doctor Guy Gansert, who was a contestant on the "The Golden Bachelorette". He appears on GH as wildlife journalist "Geoffrey Beckett". He connects with Nina about doing a feature for Crimson's nature and travel series. Nina mentions his previous feature on the archipelagos of Tierra del Fuego and she says that took her breath away. She flirts with him. Ted the plastic surgeon was seen at the hospital with the patient Laura (the one that Leslie ran off the road). It was said that he has a private clinic. They said they were filming the Nicole/Ted video on the grounds of the clinic last week, but the clinic itself hasn't been shown yet.
