Thank you so much for posting this clip!!! The image awards were live here https://www.bet.com/live-tv/ You can sign in for a 24-hour free pass even if you don't have cable. They are replaying the entire ceremony a few times on the website, and you can watch on that 24-hour pass. I watched the Pacific Time replay of the NAACP image awards as a "live" broadcast via the BET.com website last night Feb. 23. ("Live" as in "viewing it while it was being broadcast" on the website.) The BTG presentation was around 15 minutes before the end of the Image Awards. So I'm watching bet.com, Kerry Washington exits the stage, thanking Tyler Perry. Clifton Davis and Karla Mosley begin talking (as in the twitter clip.) They talk about the show, Karla says "Monday February 24 on CBS", And then she she says to take a look a the clip ... And at the point where the BTG promo shows in the twitter clip ... BET.com cut to a commercial. To clarify: the original aired beginning at 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific. Then it replayed at 8pm Pacific. In the 8pm Pacific Time Feb 22 streaming of the Image Awards on BET.com, they cut the BTG promo. Karla introduced the promo and it went directly to commercial. The BTG promo was cut. They're going to replay the entire Image Awards ceremony again a few times today (Feb. 23) both on the BET cable/satellite network and on bet.com website. I will check again to see if the promo is shown.

Errol posted a while back that this thread will remain active, but will become the ongoing "behind-the-scenes, history, articles, classic, etc" thread for BTG, similar to such threads for the other current US soaps. @Errol is that still the plan, and will this thread keep same name or be renamed?- The Politics Thread
There are a lot of angry senior citizens at local "town halls" where their Republican congressperson comes to their city to meet with constituents. I've seen quite a few reports of this. The citizens are booing at the statements their congresspersons are making.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
For anyone who could not access cbs.com or paramountplus.com, the five episodes of the BTG preview "Welcome to the Neighborhood" are being posted on both the CBS youtube and the EntertainmentTonight youtube. These are clips from the public livefeed youtube from the Paley center. They're hinting at spoilers as "something's coming" "big" "wow", etc but not outright saying any spoilers. They say when these things are coming and who might be affected, but nothing specific. They are not February spoilers, so I won't put them on the February spoiler thread, so I'll just leave them here But behind spoiler tags to be safe. - -- ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?

Yes this was on the public live feed youtube from the Paley Museum. I watched it and it was great. Hmm. I just checked to post the link but it seems they have since taken the youtube down. Well I'm glad I watched. I wanted to watch again I think Ms. Ducksworth said she sees the story 6 months in advance. And one of them said the tape-to-airdate gap is about three months.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
Dani's been on the cover of a magazine (spoiler redacted). She doesn't need Forrester Creations! The magazine covers were created as props as framed pics on the walls of a set. I posted the pics at the beginning of the "BTG Feb. Spoilers" thread. The show arranged this with (redacted name of magazine). Pretty cool. The full article from the magazine is at (Link to article) (Don't peek at that link if you're avoiding spoiler pics or spoilers) I'll just quote the nonspoiler part of the article here: from Karla Mosley and RhonniRose Mantilla: Mosley is thrilled to be on a show that follows three generations of Black women. "A Black matriarch leading this and then her daughters is so refreshing, but also reflective of our culture. Women are the people who drive everything. It's why we talk so much right now about protecting Black women and thanking Black women. We have been carrying this country and this world on our backs for a long time," she shared. "It's exciting to see women who are self-made, who are our mothers, but also have their own businesses, lives, careers, passion and ambition, and also find a way to balance that with love for their family and community," Mosley added. Getting the chance to work with Tunie and Mosley is something that Mantilla cherishes. "I was raised by my mother and grandmother, so it means the world to me to be able to show strong Black women and learn from Karla and Tamara. It's an incredible opportunity." --- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
Why post this? Because he was at the party in LA. (yes I agree he's awful) but I posted for a reason. With his IG story pic with Karla Mosley, captioned "you're not ready for Dani Dupree", the ig story had background music of the song "Survivor" by Destiny's Child. MVJ writes the story, not Carlivati. Just wondering if maybe he's giving his take on the character of Dani. But probably just a lighthearted comment.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos

One example is the series' fictional version of HBCU (historically Black colleges and universities) Howard University called Banneker University. The name is a nod to mathematician, astronomer and author Benjamin Banneker and his contributions to Washington, D.C. https://people.com/beyond-the-gates-producer-promises-a-rooted-soap-opera-with-an-accomplished-black-family-that-is-messy-as-hell-exclusive-11681217- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
^ re: above IG post from Karla Mosely: The NAACP Image Awards are broadcast tonight Saturday Feb. 22. Obviously there will be a promo for BTG, since NAACP is coproducing BTG. Last night Friday Feb. 21, was the first ceremony called the "NAACP Image Awards Creative Honors". A lot of the awards were given out then, including in key categories. Maybe it's like the Emmys and Grammys having the key night televised with entertainers/headliners, but the day before also has important awards, sometimes on social media platforms. Clifton Davis and Karla Mosely were presenters last night for the Creative Honors. Brandon Claybon (character Martin Richardson) was also there. Re: the recent repeats of Rome episodes from June 2023 ... The B&B cast did a lot of interviews in Italy in May 2023 during filming. They did a lot of press/publicity. KKL discussed with an Italian reporter how women characters are written on B&B. Press interview from "ANSA" (Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata), the National Associated Press Agency. (not-for-profit cooperative, whose members and owners are 36 leading news organizations in Italy.) The full ANSA article/interview was about Ridge, Brooke, and Taylor. https://www.ansa.it/sito/notizie/cultura/tv/2023/05/15/brooke-un-amore-con-taylor-in-beautiful-chissa_3a32fd5b-c856-452b-b308-dd95e3f103b4.html Quoting excerpt of what KKL says about Brooke and about female characters on B&B. (Italy was behind USA in episodes; so what was airing in USA in 2023 had not yet aired in Italy.) (rough translation via Google Translate) Reporter: Who is Brooke today? KKL: "A woman who knows how to assert herself. She continues to make many mistakes but loves her family, has grown up, and always tries to improve. However, I would like her to be more professionally active, with her fashion lines, and to think more about herself". (rough translation via Google Translate) Reporter: How have the women in this soap changed? KKL: "In my opinion at the beginning they were stronger and more independent also due to the presence in the cast of actresses such as Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester) or Darlene Conley (Sally Spectra). It is something we should go back to, because today they [woman characters] sometimes appear more fragile, and almost dependent on the man". ------- *** Obviously "Google Translate" is unreliable. Does anyone here speak Italian fluently? (not just looking things up in a language translation dictionary) _____ ^ Re: above KKL interview -- I was intrigued that she wants the women written better. I don't think she's ever said that to the US press?- GH: February 2025 Discussion Thread
I remember the part about Ava thinking she'd killed Nikolas after the Esme mess -- but Nikolas' life was secretly saved and he was held somewhere on life support. That much I knew. But I didn't know who was holding Nikolas. I guess that was a period where I couldn't watch and only occasionally skimmed recaps. I was aware that Austin was shady and that Mason was some creepy relative, but I never knew what all that was about. I had no idea that Cyrus was involved. So wait ... Cyrus messed with comatose nephew Nikolas *and* comatose niece Lulu? Ridiculous character. I'm just glad he's out of Laura's life.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
From the Atlanta screening Wed. Feb. 16. Cast and guests at the screening, all wearing white. Reposting these clips with something to ponder.. Wondering about why they were cheering at the end of the second clip. The first clip shows the audience of cast & guests reacting to *that* scene, as the caption says. (sound up) zczc.mp4 --- The second clip shows the audience standing and cheering at the end, so either something very cool just happened, or perhaps they're cheering at the end of the episode to applaud its entirety. I just found this, but saw it was already posted here. What's new is that the full transcript of this interview was posted on the website of WJBF Channel 6 in Augusta, Georgia. Fascinating to hear/read Jibre's story. https://www.wjbf.com/community/black_excellence/actor-jibre-hordges-taking-audiences-beyond-the-gates/- GH: February 2025 Discussion Thread

I'm glad you posted. I was confused, and didn't understand what you were posting about. I had watched the "next week" clip but couldn't hear all the words they were saying so I had paid little attention. But then I read the words of MVJ's tweet, so, curious, I sat down and I watched the end of the B&B episode on paramountplus with closed captioning. Dialogue referring to gates and going beyond them! Ha! Cool. - BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
