  1. Three episodes in a row of Ashley/Derek? Ugh. Thankfully we have Eva and Leslie
  2. https://www.cnn.com/2025/05/21/politics/representative-connolly-dies Democratic Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia died on Wed. May 21, 2025, according to a statement from his family. He was 75. Last month, Connolly announced that he would not seek reelection and would soon step down from his leadership position on the powerful House Oversight Committee. Connolly said at the time that his esophageal cancer — a diagnosis he shared in November — had returned. “When I announced my diagnosis six months ago, I promised transparency. After grueling treatments, we’ve learned that the cancer, while initially beaten back, has now returned. I’ll do everything possible to continue to represent you and thank you for your grace,” he said in a statement at the time. https://x.com/GerryConnolly/status/1925166359983358136
  3. Ashley is almost textbook OCPD (not OCD) per this: https://iocdf.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/OCPD-Fact-Sheet.pdf If she's not intentionally written that way, then it's an interesting coincidence -- maybe the writers know people who behave that way without knowing that terminology.
  4. Photos for Thurs May 22: https://soaphub.com/days-of-our-lives/spoilers-days/preview-arianna-doug-iii-hit-sheets-plus-steve-shawn-work-save-bo/ Doug3 and Holly at the pub. Doug3 and Arianna at the Small Bar. two pics of Doug3 and Arianna in bed together at the Salem Inn. Gabi opening the door to Arianna's bedroom looking for her. ShawnD and Steve looking at their laptops.
  5. I watched almost all of this, in real time, with no recording devices and nobody in real life to discuss it with. I didn't have soap magazines, so I had no way to fill in any episodes I missed. But most of this is very familiar to me. Hard to believe it's been 49 years! I remember all of this except for Matt McAllister. But I do remember seeing a clip of Matt McAllister in this thread a few months ago. I remember Jenny being a nun but I don't remember anything about her having been a missionary in another country. It would be an exaggeration to say I remember it vividly -- it's tiny bits of memories from decades ago, so it's now quite fuzzy in my mind. But when I was watching, I felt it vividly -- I guess I can say I remember my own vivid emotions that I felt while watching.
  6. I remember the arrival of three Webber siblings, and I liked Terri. (I know the Terry on GH most discussed by viewers was 1980s Brock's daughter, but this was someone else entirely, and a decade earlier). I think I remember Terri as having reddish hair? so I just googled the actress but can't find any color photos from that year. (I don't remember Pat Lambert at all)
  7. I've been rewatching old episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine on ParamountPlus. There are times when Captain Sisko visits his father in New Orleans. Sisko's father runs a restaurant with specific local New Orleans cuisine, and we actually see and hear him recommending specific dishes to the restaurant customers. I can almost smell the aromas. I'd like to see occasional mention of the menu at Orphey Gene's Soul Food Cafe. Someone orders something, or mentions how much they enjoy something. They named Orphey Gene's after MVJ's mother. I want to feel it as a soul food restaurant and not as a generic diner set for conversations. I mean, obviously it will still be used as set for conversations, but give it more specific atmosphere.
  8. LOL @Taoboi and I posted the same thing at the same time. And during the convo between Anita and police chief Elon, we learned that Elon's wife (Jacob's mother) is the police dispatcher and Jacob's brother is another cop. So maybe the reveal will happen after the entire family is shown onscreen?
  9. I think the story with Jacob's partner the shady cop is coming. Remember a while back, we saw Jacob's father the police chief Elon Hawthorne, trying to defend the situation to Jacob. And separately, we saw Chief Elon ask Anita to help with the police event. *Speculation only* that the Articulettes (or Anita solo) will sing at the police event. I think bits and pieces of the cop/mobster storyline are being shown very intermittently, and it will build into a C story, then B, and then more, as the event gets closer. But for now the focus is on reuniting the Articulettes.
  10. Skyy is listed in BTG credits as writers assistant. On May 17, 2025, Michele Val Jean posted a picture with Susan Dansby and Skyy Sandifer. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJx8j4GxegB/ What's currently airing (May 2025) for Days was filmed in September 2024, per the metadata of the JPI photos for week of May 19-23. (But DAYS films lots of things way out of order, so other stuff airing this week might have been filmed in August).
  11. Someone on a private jet watching the Nurses Ball red carpet
  12. Second promo for week of May 19-23
  13. Thursday May 22 U.S. (Wed. May 21 Canada) ^ source: thumbnail from (youtubetv-menu) for episode #13128 (Season 52, Episode 158)
  14. IMDB credited that episode to Bill Bell and Pat Falken Smith, too, so obviously way off!
  15. Like a 12-year-old
  16. Marquita Goings (Hayley) played a younger version of Debbi Morgan's character in this project: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15364098/ I agree that June sounds like Hayley, and Tracy looks like Debbi Morgan!
  17. exactly! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_Strong

  19. The show is excellent in my opinion. There are a couple of less-than-stellar actors and a couple of bad storylines, but otherwise it's awesome and I watch many of the episodes twice. However, episode #55 from May 19 was really bad, which is where you popped into the thread, but it was the *first* really bad episode. So 54 great episodes out of a total of 55 episodes is pretty good, in my opinion! I haven't seen today (#56) yet, but I hear it's good. Will watch in a couple of hours.

  21. Ten photos of Tuesday May 20 via Paramount press site: Leslie, Laura, and Kat, in various combinations: https://www.paramountpressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/shows/beyond-the-gates/photos?episode=25486
  22. https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-yr-preview-leading-ladies-dish-about-the-standalone-couples-episode/ Thanks, @dragonflies! SOD used correct spoiler pics for Lauren and Diane, but their pic of Nikki on the tweet and at the top of the article is from December 2024, as shown here: https://wornontv.net/484131/ SOD's only relevant pic of Nikki/Victor is a screengrab from the weekly preview video, showing Nikki in red touching Victor's face, which they included within the article. The article itself makes the episode sound somewhat interesting. I don't care about Victor/Nikki discussing Kyle/Claire at all, LOL. But I did find it interesting to read what Susan Walters said about Diane's father, which I hadn't heard before. And I was interested in Tracey Bregman's take on why Michael is so connected with Victor.
  23. update on this SOD photo: Per the paramount press site, this Ted/Leslie scene is for episode #59 which airs Friday May 23 https://www.paramountpressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/shows/beyond-the-gates/photos?episode=25700
  24. The CBS live stream I use isn't working, it just keep repeating the same three commercials then freezing. I can't access the show. Grrr. Will have to watch later on cbs.com or pplus
  25. Wednesday, May 21, 2025 – Episode #15122 Sarah confronts Xander. Alex and Brady fear the worst. Stephanie gently warns Cat. Paulina surprises Chanel and Johnny. Lots of photos for Wed. May 21 via SOD https://www.soapoperadigest.com/photos/days-of-our-lives-spoilers-gallery-for-may-21-fresh-starts/ and via soaphub https://soaphub.com/days-of-our-lives/spoilers-days/preview-xanders-some-splaining-plus-party-small-bar/ Some pics are same on both links. Some pics are different on each link. K-mansion: Sarah/Xander. Xander looking into Victoria's crib. Sarah/Maggie. Alex and Brady visit Philip in the hospital. Maggie visits Philip in the hospital. Xander and a cop at the police station. Bunch of characters at the Small Bar: Chad, Cat, Stephanie, Alex, Brady Johnny, Chanel, Paulina -- as a big group and in separate smaller groupings. At the Small Bar, Paulina gives Johnny and Chanel a tile that says "home sweet home" -- then later there is an apartment scene and Paulina gives Johnny and Chanel keys to their own apartment and they start to move in. -
