  1. He was on for like 2 days, you didn't miss much. They were all on together, I forgot about that silly caper.
  2. I hated Ethan being forced as Luke's child (something I feel certain TG insisted upon despite several different creative teams feinting at making him Robert's) and I hate the infidelity retcon they crafted for it, but there was a real interval of time where it would work. Here, just like with Dominique and Mac there isn't so far as I can tell. It's just FV and CVE and co. not caring much about the timeline. Holly was onscreen in story for almost all of 1992 to the summer of '93. Like Dominique, there was no viable interval in which she could've carried a child to term. Unless they claim she pulled an Adam Chandler and jacked some of that Scorpio jizz from a sperm bank on her way outta town, which while I could buy the more conniving Holly of the last 20+ years doing it, would be once again ruinous to her character.
  3. They should've let Mulcahey dump this character when he clearly wanted to.
  4. LOL are they trying to suggest Robert cheated on Anna in '92 or is this some more reality-warping bullshít like Dominique and Mac?? Come on now.
  5. There's virtually no difference. They're the same boring, pointless white chick.
  6. It is remarkable how off the wall Bret Baier was on Fox tonight - if you don't watch the whole thing you may not see, but he was filibustering and interrupting Harris even before she could begin to delve into his first question. The story emerging in media seems to be not just that Harris was strong and held her own/did well, but that Baier was way out of line. I wonder if this will ever trigger a reevaluation from the Jake Tappers of the world (or Stelter, who was impressed with Harris) who used to ferociously defend the supposed 'old line' journalists at Fox News.
  7. It's just a desperate attempt to keep another past their sell by date FV/CVE, etc. era character on perpetually. I couldn't care less. Adding a bloodline or pulling a recast on a pointless hire or tired character does nothing. The larger Holly situation doesn't bother me. She's been pretty regularly guesting for the better part of 15 years off and on and they never have done anything as ruinous with her as the original monkey virus story, people seem to enjoy her stints. Holly is not a favorite of mine but it gives Emma Samms work in a difficult time.
  8. No, I think he's just cornered after being asked a dozen times lately and has decided to lean into MAGA and hope for the best.
  9. Not terribly surprising based on what I'd heard of his life and career, but still sad.
  10. There's always going to be spin in either direction - if you ask the Trump campaign it's all about how it's a total disaster, etc. But the mainstream media pundits seems pleased with her going on there and holding strong, as do many or our side. I do think there are more viewers to peel off and penetrate from in that bubble, and Fox cut the interview short. I also think she does better aggressive than trying to play soft.
  11. Meanwhile:
  12. I saw the Semafor version of that same PA piece. It was reaching, the typical off-record Dem bedwetting. The Baier interview seems to have gone well according to mainstream media punditry - Baier was aggressive and so was she. Here's the whole thing, plus some clips: Cueball is charmed and most media seem pleased: Not someone I'll generally ever quotetweet: Meanwhile: Oh, and:
  13. What baffles me is how too many of them (including Jonathan Weisman) now regularly return to 'we have no impact with Trump voters' as an excuse for their coverage. You want to be the greatest paper on Earth but whenever pressed on coverage you say you have no impact?
  14. But Carly is central, and the Spencers are central again. His introductory scenes back were even with Carly. Ergo, Lucas is tied in. Whether they use him properly is another issue.
  15. I think Lucas has plenty of ties and they actually invested in them much more when Carnes returned in the 2010s than ever before - Carly, Bobbie, the unnecessary Jerome/Sam stuff, etc. were all key to his story and interaction back then. My problem isn't with Lucas, who isn't extraneous but with GH and storytelling. At the height of Lucas' pretty heavy use in the Carlivati years it was still with dudes like Brad and Felix who I felt were beneath him, but since then it's been diminishing returns and random lip service. Today I have no faith in them seriously investing in any LGBT characters beyond B or C-story or recurring players like Brad and Terry; if they want me to buy into that change they'd have to show me.
  16. Someone in Antarctica who she can go quest for in the frozen tundra, offscreen. Making a pointless character related to popular characters (or needlessly recasting a forgotten character, like Wagger) doesn't make them less pointless.
  17. Allred has his flaws and I still don't buy we'll flip Texas no matter what the internals say, but this is very good (as was a lot of this debate).
