  1. I feel fairly certain Leslie Thomas is too young to be one of Anita's old group, but she and her daughter are obviously harboring some dark family secret.
  2. No, they mentioned DAYS. I think they showed a brief clip too with her three other shows. (And they showed Daphnee as Rachel Gannon. 😢) Interesting that two of the grandchildren have never done TV before. I do like their energy so hopefully they do well. Tamara Tunie was emotional talking about a missed opportunity, which apparently was her getting dumped from the Steppenwolf play Purpose (directed by Phylicia Rashad) as it moved to Broadway.
  3. Nice to see them showing clips from GH for Jon and all(?) of Cady's soaps, and acknowledging MVJ's history there. Anita's past (girl group, going solo) sounds identical to Diana Ross. I wonder if she was as big before getting married.
  4. I think it's time to move Beyond the Whites for a day.
  5. I am not conspiracy-minded enough these days to believe that FV deliberately let the first LNL2 kiss in aeons get whiffed with the temporary replacement, as he's inexplicably done the same with many other actors in key moments while they're away (most recently, he let a temp - Robert Adamson? - play the Drew/Willow reveal scenes in Chad Duell's place). But I will say it's a practice that needs to cease.
  6. Fair enough. I wasn't aware they'd employed her again beyond special appearances.
  7. I still wonder if CBS does not want to deal with Rowell long-term. She would be an obvious hook. I hope I'm wrong and she turns up sometime. Debbi as a villain would've been great. I hope at some point she can appear.
  8. Ugh, it doesn't run on the live feed here for another few hours. Fortunately they've also been putting it up very, very quickly on the app (within 2-3 hours). I have missed licensed music terribly since Prospect Park. Sure, they overspent on many show elements (does Jack Manning's love scene with his teacher really need to be scored to the Rolling Stones?) but it was nice to hear legit music or see real brands in many scenes again.
  9. So they can't show history and they can't show eyecatching soap opera behavior. Got it. What should they be featuring?
  10. Precisely. There was no need for that. Phillip had been gone for years so whatever he did to the house was no longer relevant by 2008, and I sure don't remember seeing Harley living in a construction site before Peapack. They were just using frankly downmarket, rough-ass locations a lot of the time and it was embarrassing.
  11. Anna was a far superior hero on this show for much of the '80s than Jason's meathead ass ever was. Her dismal lowlights in recent years while they struggle to make her kowtow before the mob will never erase that legend.
  12. It's certainly making me glad I finally got back to LA from DC when I did (less than a week before the first disaster) and making me hesitate to fly back to NYC and visit friends in April.
  13. Jon's comments were wonderful, as were Steven Williford's. I can't remember if he was at GH in the Guza II (and onward?) years as well as Y&R but I think so.
  14. The special was lovely though I was amused to see them pointedly avoiding any mention of MVJ's work at General Hospital. Just running a few clips from the 90s could've gone a long way with this audience. But of course ABC would probably not clear that. Also lovely is this:
  15. Not exactly sure how a showrunner hiring popular soap actors she's worked with before is being implied as underhanded or trashy or bad for the show, but I guess that's what happens when your fanfic get thrown in the trash without being opened at the production offices. I came in here only to talk about today's show and be overjoyed about this experience, but I'm of course thrilled to instead have to wade through another 3-4 pages of people quoting this troll because even when they were reposting clickbait outrage merchant videos of people who have no connection to this forum that are full of sexism and homophobia, they can never be at least cautioned or disciplined. Disciplining the board, after all, isn't the moderators' job. It's only ours. But whatever. I'll be back when I've watched it and gotten this foul taste out of my mouth ruining what should be a celebratory day.
  16. Oh my lord. I actually thought lil' Charlie Besso was too big for this show (and didn't recognize him).
  17. Rocco is easily the best. Danny remains very green but has some charisma which could potentially be helped with a little more training, rehearsal and much better scripts. Aiden and his previously-invisible boyfriend don't really register for me vs. other young characters I think are more interesting to develop. But who knows.
  18. I will, but I was running the Dallas Dream Season concurrently with S7 when I had to take a break and I'm still several behind on Dallas. I've taken steps to safeguard KL for myself and I'll resume it at some point in the next month or two, I'm sure. Just a lot going on IRL and a lot of stuff to watch, lol.
  19. There's often avenues to find Knots. I'm well halfway through the show's run and I intend to continue.
  20. It's been mentioned on the main page, but apparently Amazon and I assume Plex are pulling all free streaming of Knots in the US as soon as 13-14(?) days and pushing it as pay on demand. This is ridiculous to me since they rolled it out with great fanfare what, six months ago? Hopefully it's temporary and pending a remaster a la Dallas, but I'm not holding my breath. I am going to take steps to secure the rest of the show for my obviously quite leisurely viewing - I've been busy - and I suggest others do the same.
  21. I agree. The problem is they wouldn't service her well at present. If GH ever chooses to it is easy to bring Sam (or anyone on that show, really) back. This is a show that unfroze Stavros Cassadine multiple times, and Sam is in the same family. She even has a doppelganger running around. That being said I am more than fine with her staying dead. Would it amuse me if someday she appeared as, say, hellraiser Livvie or Sam's distant Eurotrash Cassadine cousin relative for a brief stint (complete with bad accent)? Sure. Anything that wakes Kelly up, which she'd barely done for 15 years.
  22. I've only seen a few clips of the anniversary stuff, I should watch more. I did like seeing Eddie again. I did see Jane and Laraine Newman honoring Gilda at the end, that was great.
  23. I guess I'll just get my buddy to 'acquire' them for his private Plex again. It's so stupid to pull them from all free outlets after just putting them up on Amazon, Plex, etc. with great fanfare. Hopefully it's a temporary thing and an HD rematser is coming, but I'm not holding my breath on the latter.
