  1. Agreed. Tracey Bregman has too much talent to be wasted as she has been on Y&R.
  2. Great job, depboy. John Bernadino was also part of the 1948 Cleveland Indians team that won it all - the last time my home team did so.
  3. Larkin Malloy seemed to have chemistry with just about all his leading ladies in his soap days - from Sharon Gabet on EON and Kim Zimmer on GL to the Susans (Lucci and Pratt) on AMC.
  4. Speaking of Roger Newman, his wife Frannie Myers (Peggy on GL) also became a writer.
  5. There are a few pictures of Gillian as Viki (and Niki) in the OLTL 30th anniversary coffee table book by Gary Warner.
  6. David Cherrill also wrote for The Doctors, and was at the helm with Elizabeth Levin, wife of Michael Levin (Jack Fenelli, RH).
  7. That's a good story idea - and maybe she could be visited by visions of Alan, urging her to fight.
  8. Wow, I didn't know that Sandra Nelson lasted as long as she did on Y&R - I thought she was only on a few months. Did she ever work on soaps before or since?
  9. Yet one more reason Charleson/Damon, separately or in tandem, could absolutely knock it out of the park given decent material. They both should have won Emmys for that story.
  10. Thanks, everyone. I knew Don Hastings did some writing, but he didn't use an alias - at least in the beginning? I also forgot to add Lois Kibbee - who helped Henry Slesar write EON for a few years.
  11. Thank you, Khan. Liza probably would have dominated Alfred in the 90s even after she had matured and softened somewhat.
  12. Was Gillian Spencer (Jennifer) one of the first soap actors to make the transition to soap writer?
  13. Yes!! Here's the page devoted to her books on her website: http://www.harleyjanekozak.com/novels.php
  14. Does anyone think Liza should have given poor Alfred a chance? How long did he pine (no pun intended) after her? LOL
  15. Gotta love those illustrations that the soap magazines used back in the day - especially when the drawings looked nothing like the actors portraying the characters mentioned in the articles. LOL
  16. Thanks for sharing that article. Harley Kozak made the successful transition from actress to novelist. I've never read any of her books, but probably should.
  17. Yup, the new season began last night. The Emotions episode is up next week. Wednesdays at 8 PM. They'll be repeating the Montell Jordan ep on Sunday night at 6 PM (8/3).
  18. You're welcome - I'm glad I found it!
  19. Did anyone else watch the Montell Jordan episode that aired last night? It was a very interesting profile, especially considering his marriage. It's a miracle that they are still together after all they went through. Also, he tells a story about how he was booked at a college to perform in 2010 (???) and in a 3,500 seat venue, only SEVEN people showed up. Now if that isn't a crusher, I don't know what is. OUCH!!
  20. To commemorate the occasion, someone put together a video montage of SB's first seven episodes. No Eden, Cruz, Sophia, Amy, Brick or our definitive CC here, but it is a well-put together montage with "Broken" by Lifehouse as the background song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mYU1yinhss
