  1. From what I gather, he was not well-liked by many on GL. Even his on-screen daughter, Elissa Leeds (Hope) didn't have many kind things to say about him (from a message from me she replied to) - she said he and Melinda Fee were not liked by the majority of the cast because they were arrogant and mean, and he showed up rarely knowing his lines. (I don't know if they still had teleprompters on the GL set at that time, but they probably did since it was the early 70s.) But she did have plenty of nice things to say about pretty much everyone else in the cast that she worked with - her best friend among them was Frannie Myers (Peggy). She was the only kid on the show then, so a lot of the other actors kind of took her under their wings. Elissa said she absolutely adored Charita Bauer, and called Victoria Wyndham (before she defected to AW), Nancy Addison (pre-RH) and Caroline McWilliams absolute sweethearts - and that Theo Goetz was just as adored as Papa Bauer was.
  2. TimWil, Elizabeth Hubbard was in a 1992 episode of Law & Order ("The Corporate Veil", Season 3). Michael Moriarty was still on the show then, so you're right, it was Stone's office. I know which scene you are talking about and indeed, she did a terrific job!!
  3. Speaking of Lee Bryant in Airplane!, her husband (who was indeed named Jim) was played by soap vet Nicholas Pryor (AW, EON, the original 90210 and is probably best known as Victor Collins on GH/PC). They and Rossie Harris, who played their son Joey ("Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?"), along with several other of the movie's "passengers", were interviewed recently for one of the DVD extras for the movie's 30th (???) anniversary. If I can find the clip, I'll post it here. But that is too funny about her coffee line on ATWT. LOL!!!
  4. I looked, but couldn't find anything substantial. Her daughter is Julia Pace Mitchell, who played Sofia on Y&R from 2010-12, and the product of her first marriage to Ironside co-star Don Mitchell.
  5. Was he the one who was a cult leader of some kind and held the hospital hostage? Dorian Lopinto's character of Missy ended up being killed off in the crisis, I think.
  6. Sungrey, I know how much you liked Eden and Cruz as a couple (and so did I!!) - but I wanted to know what you thought of Amy and Brick, both as a couple and individually. I felt bad that Amy was blown up, but couldn't fault Kerry Sherman for wanting to leave. She was pregnant with her second child (her first pregnancy had been written into the show), and wanted to leave show biz to be a full-time mom. I'd love to hear your thoughts!!!
  7. Great article - thanks for posting!!
  8. Thanks for sharing that interview. Loved it!!
  9. I feel sorry for Helen Gallagher and Bernie Barrow, who must have needed a scorecard to keep track of which actor was playing which of their on-screen kids. Yikes!!
  10. I'm sorry you were ill, slick, but happy that you seem to be doing better and are posting again. I guess June wasn't the best month for either of us! It's funny to see Jonelle Allen on the "Dr. Quinn" reruns on the INSP Channel on cable, and think of what a vicious character she played on this soap. LOL
  11. HA!! She was ahead of her time!!
  12. Oh my gosh, those 70s clothes!! Hilarious!!
  13. Thank you both so much!! My car has since been fixed and my back is feeling better for the most part, though the occasional flare-ups are awful. This wasn't some little tap - he had to be going at least 25 before reaching the intersection and obviously not paying attention to the fact that the light was red!!
  14. Thank you! I hadn't posted in a while for several reasons including the fact that my laptop broke and I had to have it fixed, which took awhile. Then I was driving to meet my job counselor for an appointment and was at a complete stop at a red light when a guy driving a delivery truck plowed right into the back of my car. I was able to get the car fixed but also had to seek medical treatment. I had X-rays done which showed that my back was strained and sprained in several places. Not fun. But anyway, I am feeling better and am back online - and am very happy to be back at the SON boards!!!
  15. Faith was the youngest of the three Coleridge kids, but Nancy Barrett was actually older than both Nancy Addison and Ron Hale by a couple of years. Maybe that worked against her.
  16. This was Linda Gibboney's swan song to daytime, wasn't it?
  17. RIP - he did great work on lots of soaps.
  18. Wasn't she always meant to be a temp after letting Faith Catlin go? Maybe I'm wrong. Are we sure Kenneth Castle had nothing to do with this?
  19. Interesting - I never thought Irving Allen Lee was on another soap after Ryan's Hope.
  20. Those BTS stories of the AW actors are fascinating. Keep 'em coming!!
  21. Thanks for sharing the 1987 clip. I love Brick and the special bond he was able to build with Sophia.
  22. Plus, that's the only footage I've seen of the QEII storyline other than a CBS promo. Liza and Travis had given their adopted baby back to his biological mother, and Liza was depressed so Travis took her on this cruise. They ended up getting into a few nasty quarrels, which is why she is flashing back to happier times with him during the song.
  23. That was a powerful clip. Mr. Stevens definitely shows off some impressive pipes, and it is always a treat to see the lovely Sherry Mathis. I hope there are more clips out there with her that will be put online in the future.
  24. Hmmmm...interesting. Thank you, Khan.
  25. Oh yes!!! Please do - and thanks!!!!
