  1. Thanks, everyone. It was before my time and so little of it is on YT, so it's nice to hear your feedback. I DID see the scene where Rachel admits on the stand that Mac did not father baby Matt, and Mac is totally devastated. I heard it also won Doug Watson the Emmy that year, and rightfully so.
  2. OK, thanks!!! It seems that in its brief run (not even two and a half years), there was quite a bit of turnover in the writers/producers.
  3. Wow, I thought Gillian Spencer was the only actress to play Jennifer. I had no idea she was a recast.
  4. No, I still want Benson/Barba to ride off into the sunset together. By the time the show finally ends, I think she'll have enough service under her belt that she can retire and move on to greener pastures. Amanda, sweetie, you have had so much baggage in the past couple of years and now you are getting it on with Nick, who has even more baggage than you!! Not a good idea, even as friends with benefits. You already have a faithful companion in Frannie the dog, who is loyal and always there - which is more than we can say for the men in your life. All that said, however - I didn't mind seeing Danny Pino in a towel. *rawr*
  5. Interesting. I'll have to check out that clip from the 40 Years special. I know they divided it up into 8 or so parts, do you know which one it's in?
  6. Interesting, because she played Daisy on AMC for almost a decade. Maybe she liked writing for the soaps better?
  7. That sounds like a porno. LOL
  8. Thanks again!! Were Pam Long and Gail Kobe at the helm by this time?
  9. OK, thanks for correcting me and identifying who was in the promo. I could've sworn that was Beverlee, but had she left by this point?
  10. Thanks for posting those!!
  11. They did? Wow, where was I? LOL Thanks!! OK, thanks. Just watching those clips, I just don't sense any chemistry between VW and WGE. I do think he had chemistry with Linda Dano years later when Felicia and Mitch were paired up.
  12. OK, thanks. Wow. No way would a story like that fly today (about Bob AND Nancy objecting to Jennifer wanting to go back to school, etc.) - I'm guessing Gloria Steinem didn't hear about it!!!
  13. Besides Beverlee McKinsey, who are the other actors in this Texas promo?
  14. Did Gillian Spencer choose to leave ATWT in 1975 or was she fired? I know several years later she went on to the role that brought her the most fame, AMC's Daisy, and then became a writer for many soaps. I also remember when she made the brief return to ATWT in late 1997 as Jennifer's ghost (and that was also the story that brought Scott DeFreitas' Andy Dixon back to the canvas, if I'm not mistaken).
  15. May she RIP. Yes, Marcia McCabe could've made a good Hope, especially since she was already in the P&G family (having played SFT's Sunny for over eight years). I still feel she could be an asset to any soap, should she choose to return to the acting arena.
  16. Did ANYONE like Rachel and Mitch together? I haven't heard from one person who did. Not when her true love, Mac Cory, was still there. For DAYS, Lanna Saunders (Marie) and Jean Bruce Scott (Jessica)? I never understood why they never brought the latter back to play opposite her on-screen son, Nick (or at least recast her).
  17. Thanks!! You never see that many promos of The Doctors. Who were the actors in this clip?
  18. Speaking of Pamela Payton-Wright, I just saw her in a L&O (mothership) rerun a couple of nights ago on either WGN or WE, from the 1993-94 season. She played the mother of a sociopath who killed her husband/his father and tried to make it look like an accident, and turned in a very credible performance.
  19. No, he would have had to appeared on EON in between the primetime shows because CIC didn't debut until September 1984. Interestingly enough, his former real-life wife, Maylo McCaslin, had a stint as Sally Taylor, waitress and friend to Kelly Capwell and Joe Perkins, on Santa Barbara from 1984-85.
  20. How long did that show last? I heard it was pretty controversial.
  21. HA!! I remember hearing about the water pollution story, how it was dropped with no resolution. Frances Reid was quoted as saying fans had come up to her, asking how it had ended. She would bluff, saying, "You didn't see the end of it? It was incredible!" LOL
  22. I wonder who they would have had in mind.
  23. How long did Caryn Richman sub? This was when Tracey Bregman was about to give birth IRL, right?
